How's this project going man? I have an '04 6S Hatchback that I bought new that now has big rusty chunks missing on my wheel arches and rocker panels. I'm sad AF about it because it's a great car to drive yet it's losing structural integrity.
Actually this car is on the lift now, I finally got a chance to get the engine pulled out and the new engine reassembled. I haven’t had a chance to do much video unfortunately, however I really need to. The rust repair portion of this car will be most of my next weeks project, I really need to get back to video.
@@powershiftautomotive6107 life tends to get in the way lol. I wish you luck with all that. I had mine up on blocks on my kids basketball court in my back yard for 3 months back in 2016 (no garage here) to do a front end overhaul. Too many new OEM parts to list, about $3,500 worth, including a salvage transmission since my OG 5 speed manual was on the way out. New clutch everything, hydraulic lines, master cylinder, timing chains and gear, all new seals (this Ford 3.0 V6 leaked about a bath tub worth of oil for over 10 years), power steering hose, control arms, warranty Bilsteins, all mounting blocks and bushings, spark plugs, manifold seals, etc etc. I also did a lot of touch up of minor rust here and there including sanding and repainting the engine sub frame, undercoating the body. I was unemployed at the time, and ended up building a tarp shanty over the car, had power, heaters, lights, radio you name it. I've since done both exhaust header/converters, water pump and other small items. The heartache I feel over this rust is overwhelming at times because of it wasn't for that I'd keep this thing going forever. There's nothing like it.

That is awesome! I’d like to get my 07 speed6 repaired for rusts as well if you do that job for others? I’m willing to pay good and do the drive !

I am Sure lots of guys looking for this, what if you perhaps even change the title to Mazdaspeed 6 rust repair..?
