very cool jacket, i just picked one up at a yard sale a few months ago. there was a 2 pocket E hanging on the garage door for sale, and so i bought that for $10 , and then the older gentleman says , yeah i have my dads but its not for sale, so i asked to just look at it, so he brought it out and and it was a1pocket with harley patches, and well worn, i asked him if he would take $100 for it and so he looked at his wife and she said yes. so i have an early 70's big E and the dads 1950 1 pocket. it is the holy grail. i use to do levis in the 90's and sell at the rose bowl, and never found a 1 pocket. so listening to you about being so excited was very cool

I could not stop laughing when I saw the type of money these jackets are changing hands for these days.
I lived in the country in my younger days and during the dry summers everyone kept a Levi's or Wrangler denim jacket tied around their waste to use to beat the grass fires out. When we were walking through dry areas, we also used them to stub our cigarettes out and it never scorched the denim.
My friend saw a jacket advertised a few months ago, that judging by all the frays around the edges and pockets, it had obviously been used as a fire beater. It seemed so funny.
Have you seen this advert before, I actually saw a guy and his girlfriend using their jeans to put the burning grass around a campfire out before it reached the tents. Fortunately it was not the jeans that they were wearing at the time, but it was still funny. 😃🔥
