I love Orslow, I have a few things from them. they're sometimes quite more expensive than other Japanese brands that make the same products (Japan blue, sugar cane, the strike gold...) so I also check out other brands because all these heritage brands sort of make the same stuff over and over. I have a type II denim jacket by the strike gold. And yeah, Orslow do not use leather patches.
Beautiful jacket! Orslow just doesn’t use leather patches on any of their products. I work in retail and have been selling the brand, which is outstanding- their 105 denim resembles a 501 from the 50’s and also features a jacron patch. Enjoy the jacket man!
Jacron started being used in the 50s, you Can see levis from the 50s some had jacron patches and others lesther but it was definetly around in the 50s. I believe lvc type 2 jacket also comes with jacron patch.
Good choice! The best Americana clothes are indeed made in Japan. The quality on the Orslow items in amazing!
Now I just need a pair of fatigue pants
That’s why I love the 50s style too; the sleeves are perfect for 5’2” ❤
Complete agree!
i got the type 2 in the 2 year wash and its honestly my favourite denim jacket that I have ever worn.
I’m really happy with it. Excited to get it all beat up and aged.
Great review, just copped my first orslow piece as well
So amazing. Need a pair of fatigue pants

Thats for the insight! I agree with the price. I think they are starting to add that Kapital Visvim tax.
Thank you for wearing the jacket for us so we could see how the jacket fits you.

That’s great news! Thank you for the insight. I’ll check out the 105. I’m wearing a pair of sugarcanes right now.
Leather is overrated .. this is better
I still have my dad's Levi's Type II jacket. It has a paper label (well, part of one anyway).
that must have some amazing memories
Thanks for sharing!
Beautiful jacket!
Thanks brother!
I might be wrong, but I believe that Levi's went to a paper patch in the late 50s on the type 2.
I think you’re right.
What brand is your sweater?? Looks nice!
Super basic! I got it at Uniqlo
About the patch Levi’s switched to paper around 1955
Great to know thank you!
Love the video!!
Thanks brother! Just keep grinding.

paper patch probably better as leather patch can shrink and make the back of the jacket look funny at some point
Thats a good call!
Glad to hear another fellow hobbit that love 50s fashion because of our superior stature
Hahah love it! Glad to be apart of the team
Jacket so dope bro
Thanks brother
LVC type 2 raw denim jacket for 2023 is made in Japan
I saw that! Glad they are moving production to Japan. Unfortunately they aren't sending much to the USA
