so im a 32 waist 32 inseam and live in the uk, only place i have ever found shrink to fit levis was in costco for 50 pounds. and was 32/34 i bought them and finally know what to do so that they fit perfect. so thank you for your wisdom

Great info as I think you really cover the impotent aspects. Regarding sizing Levi’s 501s have become bigger in the last 10 or 20 years. So a 32 from 20 plus years ago were smaller.
not necessaily levi's but my first step on raw denim was unsanforized 21oz I bought 2 size down, because I was afraid it will expand overtime and look sloppy. while that 2 size down was fine raw when being tried on, however after first insoak, it was stretch to fit rather than shrink to fit, however 6 years later I still have the jeans and despite the difficult beginning, it is indeed keeping its slim cut on the top block and upper thigh even after multiple washes. so I believe stretch to fit more than shrink to fit for slim top block over the years, maybe not 2 sizes down, but 1 size down, and wearing leather or canvas belt all the time to not stretch out the waistband during long sitting hours
I’m not sure of why this has shown up in my recommendation, but hey I decided to watch this because with his full mustache and hairy shoulders/bicep area he’s giving 70’s porn star realness..so I watched the video and learned some cool things (not about him), but about Levi’s. Good video if you have the time and patience for this kind of stuff or just purchase it already done for you.
I forgot which brand used to say it on a tag in their jeans - maybe Wrangler - but it said "please wash three times before wearing" and I'd say that's spot on for unsanforized jeans. Maybe stop after the first or second time if they fit well.
When I got my 505’s, i just asked my grandma to adjust it for me on the bottoms to match my height, and then it ended up shrinking perfectly with a few washes.

I washed them in cold water and air dried. They shrink more, but not horribly (they might be a little tight but stretch where they need to and look perfect).

Machine wash them with lower temperature water, max 30°C and don't use the machine dryer, just line dry them. You can also stretch the length of the legs when they are still wet after a wash by pulling them. For the waist you just wear them, they'll always shrink a bit in the waist when washed and stretch out an inch or so with wear.
weird question but im a hairy mf too and I was wondering at what age did your shoulders get that hairy because im 25 and I can see lycanthropy getting more powerful

501s are shrink to fit and will shrink 8-10%, most other vintage Levi's were sanforized however will shrink around 5% (probably says so on your tag). So yeah, they will probably shrink a little bit but not much.

My sugarcane 1947’s also shrank quite a bit, even though they were already washed once. They fit perfectly now

All denim will shrink, but not necessarily this much or this fast. Hot wash and dry will prob make em smaller
