    To go along with this, I read about a school years ago, got rid of junk food and replaced it with good, fresh real food and behavioral problems reduced more than 50%.

      ❤🌻 I must have read the same thing, amazing what nutrition can do. If children are taught why these foods are good for them, and how they benefit from eating them, most kids go for the good foods. But at the same time they need to understand why to avoid all the junk foods and junk drinks, and how these would affect their health negatively. Kids are smart, but they need the adults to teach them the why of things. Not just stupid iron rules, without proper detailed age appropriate explanations. Teach children nutrition, it is as important as math or English. Maybe even more important, because well nourished children do much better in school.

      Greg Hadley : years ago they did an experiment with badly behaved criminals in prison : gave fish oils : violence reduced significantly.
      Other similar things have been tried, e.g., naughty hyperactive school kids ( junk food feeders) were given a fresh, decent diet with good vitamins, etc., and they found a significant improvement in behaviour. The opposite was well known, too : kids who had sugary drinks, sweets, etc for lunch, were, said a teacher , " unteachable".

      Yeah, apparently they experimented with diet in some US prisons and found that when the inmates were given a healthy diet, violence within the prison was reduced by over 90 percent! In that case, it's criminal to keep feeding poor diets in prisons, hospitals, and schools!!!

    I can definitely vouch for diet changing behaviour, i've become so much happier since i stopped eating poorly. leafy greens, good quality meat and no sugar.

    About carbs: This guy seem to forget that all of the Blue Zones, (the places where people thrive and live to old age without diseases) eat diets that are heavy in whole, unprocessed carbohydrate rich foods. All of them eat legumes, and they also consume starchy foods like sweet potatoes and/or rice and/or whole grains.
    This is where the low carb movement need to up their game: there is a big difference between soda and oatmeal, a big difference between candy and fruit, a big difference between cookies and quinoa. There is simply no good evidence to support that eating oatmeal, fruit and/or quinoa will cause chronic diseases. ON the contrary. Whole, unprocessed carb rich foods seem to be the staple foods in most - if not all - societies that have good public health and long life expectancy.

      I also heard, read that is, that those carbohydrate dominant blue zone have an insane variety of plant based foods in their regular food rotation. On one example of such even went to the number between 250-350. If someone is going to be the winner of the micronutrient/oligonutrient game, it is them.
      Along with living much less stressful on average and daily physical activities.

      All has to do with glycemic index and portions. With a high glycemic index comes a lot of sugar-type problems. And of you eat a lot of carbs you'll also end un with a body inflamation that will push other diseases.

      lots of new evidence is pointing to genetic adaptations. The individuals in those "blue zones" do in fact eat a lot of carbs and they do live long healthy lives. What is missing is why one person can eat 50-75% carbs and live to be 100% and another person can eat a very similar macro profile and die at 60. Lots of new study's are pointing to genetics. Those people live in area's where they have eaten grain heavy diets for 1000's of years and their genetics are not diluted. Same with native Alaskan's. They can eat 80% fat and live very healthy lives. It just comes down to your genetic make up and how you use that to figure out what your body really wants.

    Chicken . Fish. Veal. Vegetables . Fruits. Nuts. Whole grain bread. A lot of water. No drugs and booze. No medicine unless it's life or death. I'm 55 . I still work in construction. I box. I do long distance cycling and mountain biking. Screw all these so called experts.

    Results of my endoscopy that I got 4 weeks ago said I have pre cancerous cells in my stomach... In a Professional Fighter I'm over weight so I fast but when I fasted I didn't drink to much water and I would take alot of my supplements. I'm not going to fight no more I had a talk with God I just hope I can WIN this fight

      High chances to reverse it. Watch 'The starch solution' by Dr John McDougall. Do not try a diet high in meat and dairy. The excess of IGF1( insulin growth factor 1) hormone will only accelerate the multiplication of cancer cells.

      Mom is 99 in July she eat one time per day for a long time. She eat cookies and ice cream every day. She still live by herself. I don’t think it’s healthy but she only take one medication for high blood pressure

    I like this Dr, I tell people all the time don't eat things God didn't make. God didn't make fast-food or junk food. Back in the days people didn't eat 3 meals a day because it's called Hunter-gather, some days they didn't eat. That's why Indians followed the herds of wild Big game. Live natural and wholesome..

      Levi Kleinow: yes, the Indians followed buffalo herds. ( The buffalo herds added quite a depth of soil to the huge areas they roamed : enriched the ground). The variety of good,organic vegetable matter the animals ate was reflected in the meat, like grass fed organic beef would be now. Grain fed beef , as in intensive farming, sends us worse fats (etc) in their meat, than grass fed, organic.
      I think Dr. Mark Hyman was explaining it in one of his very interesting talks here on You Tube.

    Ok got this chic. I AGREE, protein with omegas, greens for alkalinity and chloryfil/ life source of plants, fatty acids from avocados for energy AND blueberries for Vitamin C which your body doesn't manufacture although they are more acidic I would do strawberries instead with more fibre C and less sugars.
    HOWEVER, latest research proves gut microbiom is dependent on diversity. I could add so much more however I compliment this chicken choices, well done.

    I had everyone in the room express amazement I am in a COVID-19 risk group.
    I was talking about my experience with COVID-19, and my immune system kicked in and overcame it.
    ..and at the end of telling my experience I said I am in a high risk group.
    Everyone looked surprised.
    What could it be?
    I said, I am in my 70’s.
    It felt good to see and hear all the expressions of amazement!
    I do keto (not fad keto), no sugar.
    I do intermittant fasting, having either two meals or one meal.
    I fast 20 hours one day out of 10. I feast one day out of 10.
    I have grass-fed grass-finished local beef, buffalo if I can get it, lamb shanks if I can get it.
    I have green leafy vegetables, parsnips, turnips, rutabagas, beets, and red onions or sweet onions.
    I also have yellow wax beans, or julienne green beans. I seldom have petite peas.
    I have Hubbard-type squash, yams or sweet potatoes less often, and yellow squash in season.
    I have brocolli, brocolli sprouts, butter lettuce, romaine, and radiccio.
    I also have blackberries and blueberries, and red raspberries on occasion.
    I rarely have pineapple, or guava: guava is my substitute for tomatoes. I may include tomatoes again. I was not having nightshades.
    I may include rice again. Meanwhile, I have quinoa.
    I have oolong tea, and a number of other green teas, also matcha. I have organic coffee with Vietnam cinnamon.
    I drink mountain spring water.
    I seldom have fish. If I do, it is salmon with the skin, or a trout.
    This is what I have been doing with keto, whole food, and clean food efforts.

      That doesn’t sound like a Keto diet. It sounds more like a whole food plant based diet with some occasional meat. Meat feeds the bad bacteria in your gut which decrease your immune system. Eating the side variety of veggies which feed the good gut bacteria probably helped immensely. You should check out Dr. Will Bulsiewicz. He does a great job of explaining how your gut health impacts your entire health system.

    I tried fish oil but I ended up getting really bloated and noticed it started when I took the supplements. So now just cooking fresh fish...lol Every person probably reacts differently to supplements. I used to be a supplement queen and started cutting back as I ate more whole foods. Lean meats and veggies. You have to see how your body reacts to different foods.

    I've been a vegan for 25 years and in comparison to when I ate meat and fish I feel and look better and healthier. I lift heavier weights and my muscle definition is popping. The vegan lifestyle suits me. The health benefits are amazing. The key is to make small changes. What works for one may not suit another. I would never go back to eating animal flesh.

      Be careful with pumping weights. It causes joint pains when people get older. Bone on bone pain is no joke. Look up Joey Atlas on you tube. His method is much better. Use your own body weight.

    the#1 problem with diet is the working american lifestyle forces people to rely on fast food industry which optimizes profit for the few, not health for the many. When you don't have time to think about what market, farmers, food produce to buy, you have even less time to cook food yourself. The most important change society should make is to allow people to cook their food by giving them the time to do so. It's a cultural problem, not a legislation issue, it won't happen without a melt down of existing society. Human society does not reform, it only fails and turns to chaos before it can start anew.

    I am 80 yerars old and have eating (most of the tieme) eggs since I was an infant. My glucose level is 80, my blood presure is 122 over 83. I eat 4 eggs with bacon for breakgast. Around 4, I eat 4 more eggs. Doing it for all my life. So people, dont believe what this guy says.

      I usually eat a dozen a week. Years ago a nutritionist named Carlton Fredericks did a study on cholesterol with eggs. He had people eating (if I recall) 2 dozen a week for a month. Zero change in cholesterol. I think Lipitor is the biggest Big Pharma scam since insulin for Type 2 diabetes - which is curable.

    I bake my own fresh organic sour dough bread ( from my own starter I
    made a year ago) and add to my dough: flax, hemp, chia, sunflower,
    pumpkin seeds and a little Goji berry. Having a slice or two a day (
    depending on size of slice) is very healthy yes, we all wanta LGN so
    good eating is essential and the amount we eat is where the tricks come
    in for each of us with veggies, fruits and proteins. I eat/ cook fresh
    and healthy. FYI... organic sour dough bread is Biblical and being
    sour dough it does not contain the gluten that most people do NOT want
    nor need. Going back to natural is best. Blessings P.S. I love your

    I did some reading on fish oil and there's study on chronic wounds that won't heal and if your taking fish oil, they will keep draining and not heal. After reading this article I called a dear friend who was in wound care for over 2 years and I told her to stop taking her fish oil after she had a big cave dug out of her leg and almost immediately after she stopped taking the fish oil her wound finally healed. The nurse asked her what are you doing differently and she said that she stopped the fish oil. The wound care doctor sort of made acknowledgment but you know how doctors are.

      Yup, JUST because he's a "so called" expert/doctor .. doesn't mean he actually LIVES by what he suggests... Too often experts claim ONE thing and do NOT look healthy... AGAIN...... it's buyer beware... what they're TELLING US is to be listened to CAUTIOUSLY and ultimately SERIOUSLY SCRUTINIZED and compared. AND we NEEEEEEED to listen to our own intuition and our BODIES.... IF we really ate REAL foods... HEALTHY not toxic food PRODUCTS... we wouldn't need doctors of pills of any kind.......... our bodies INNATELY know how to heal......... IF we provide real nutrition........... and admit it, MOST people do NOT eat real foods..... it's packaged, processed, preserved, prepared, enriched, and MADE vs GROWN in nutriious soil HONORING and working WITH nature vs trying to CONTROL it.... Our world has LOTS to learn and people are continuously giving in to "experts" that are either liars or paid off and NOT helping us.... and that fact has been shown to be the case TOOOOOOOO many times, unfortunately

      Maybe he has a cold or mucus......eating and living healthy doesn't mean that you never catch a cold, but it does mean that you're body is strong and fortified, and therefore, will be able to throw it off effectively and in a short period of time

    My physician always questions me as to why I supplement with vitamin D3. The more I learn about this vitamin it makes me wonder if she WANTS me to stay sick. smh.

      Do you take anything else with vitamin D?? I thought I read somewhere that another nutrient had to be accompanied with it to help the absorption and to prevent throwing off another nutrient in the body but I cant remember lol.
      I was thinking about starting it again because I noticed my depression and brain fog lifted when I was taking it. I stopped because the brand I was using was powdered form in a capsule and I thought it wasnt doing anything. Most vitamins D I see are in an oil or gel. But I do still notice some benefits while taking it. Thanks for reminding me lol

      @@Honey-Bee-25 Perhaps you are thinking of K2. Which I take in the form of MK7. You take it so the calcium you get from food is drawn into the bone rather than laid down all over your body, including in your arteries. I have read from many sources Never to take calcium in pill form. The very best way to build bone is weight bearing exercise.

    I think the issue with Kale Lewis heart of, is the amount of oxalates in Kale and how some people are sensitive to some vegetables high in oxalates.

    We had Milo in New Zealand way back when I was a kid, over 50 years ago! Used to love it (when I was a kid), but now it tastes terrible to me. Maybe they have changed their recipe! Lol 😄😄

      TRUE. Dr. Valter Longo has great info on Intermittent Fasting that is incredible for weight loss and then maintaining weight. For me, it is So much easier to wait until the afternoon (if I keep busy) to eat my first meal (of 2) five days a week, than to try to cut back the calories at every meal. After doing that everyday for a month, and lowering the carbs, I Cured my newly diagnosed high B.P. and lost the 10 lbs I couldn't lose for years! Now I maintain easily. If I splurge at a party I just fast until 6 pm the next day, and I'm back to normal. Love It!

    I have gone through your update which is very very good. My viewpoint in a nutshell is try to be vegan eat well blanched leafy vegetables among other vegetable items take curds thrice a week try to take half the food of what you are capable off take one cup of tepid water one hour before & one hour after lunch and dinner and do regular breathing exercise (which I happened to create of my own) early in the morning empty stomach & preferably empty bowel and live a disease-free healthy life keeping the doctors away with medical expenditure literally NIL. I am now 78+ and doing everything maintaining highly healthy & disciplined life with slight vision problem.

    So what doesn’t make sense to me is all three of the doctors eats eggs (keto, paleo, superfood).... but they last doctor wants to say the #1 thing to stay away from is EGGS! It feels like he was paid to say that. Nothing seems authentic about him.
    I love Dr. Mark. He is amazing

      A lot of people are intolerant to eggs and they cause inflammation. If you are not intolerant, they are very nutritious.

    I went from the carnivore diet into the mostly Pizza and cheese fry diet
    Ended up overweight with anxiety and insomnia so yea I'm going to the store to get some greens and salmon. Salmon is awesome in the air fryer too .

I could see from your body language, the last expert Anthony Williams, Medical Medium, had given you a shock when he demonized EGGS, which I believe are your favorite most nutritious food, which is also mine. I am 84 years old and a great grandfather of two beauiful boys and I eat more than 14 eggs a week. My favorite friend, a medical doctor, urged me to reduce my intake of eating eggs and take statin because my total cholesterol had hit the roof. Mr. Lewis our lifespan is given at birth and as long as we take care of the body with love and care and live a righteous life according to the commandments and teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ, we will reach our lifespan (expiry date) and often exceeding it, a blessing (bonus) with a big smile.
