I love the conversational nature of this interview. It wasn’t just Jay asking Lewis a bunch of questions. It felt more like sitting in on a conversation with two wise friends and getting the chance to see them get what they needed from each other while getting what we didn’t know we needed. Lol

"Motivation is for people that don't have a meaningful mission. Discipline is for people that are clear on their identity of who they want to become and the mission that they have that is meaning for them. Not only for them, but for those around them" - Lewis Howes

I feel like these past few months have been changing my perspective on how I view the world that I’m currently living. For the longest time, I kept thinking about how I can finance myself. But then I started thinking about how I could pay for things for my friends and help my family out whenever just because I’m able to. That to me seems like a more valuable life than to just waking up serving myself. Life is so much more than just me. It’s about helping people grow into a beautiful version that they see in their head.

Just bought him your book. Much gratitude.🙏🏽

Wow. What a powerful conversation! I will definitely be running this on repeat. I walked down the aisle knowing deep in my gut it was the wrong thing to do. But I did it because I felt the pressure of letting people down…. So it was far easier to betray myself. After 20 years of a toxic, abusive marriage I have been in a six year court battle to get divorced. This experience has taught me the grave importance of living life with a clear understanding of who I am, what I expect and where I’m going. Many thanks gentlemen for all that you contribute to this world. 🙏🏻💫

I hope this question makes it to you guys.
If we are just spirits borrowing bodies and if none of this is real, why does rape impact us so much decades after it’s happened? Can we remember that it’s *just the body that does not belong to us, and that it’s not real- to surpass the emotion of victimization? I love you guys. Keep doing what you’re doing. You are really helping the world heal and understand it’s emotional mindset. ❤Thank you. 😊

I feel like I'm in the spring. I've put in a lot of psychological and therapy work to overcome my past traumas, to live truth to myself and to reach my goals. This interview is a must watch! It is the most moving interview I’ve ever seen. The energy between you two is always incredible but the topics & the discussion is full of lessons. The way words are defined… motivation vs. discipline; the three P’s, three H’s… “On the outside, I was functional on a high level but internally I didn’t have harmony”… wow! Just wow!

I can’t even tell you how much I needed to hear this conversation.. I have been feeling a bit lost, confused and low energy.. definitely feeling off and knowing that there was a gap I needed to fill but not understanding what. What you said about the season of life, being in transition, having goals and aspirations for something greater.. I might have to re-listen to this talk and take notes but I had so many aha moments. Omg.. facing my fear- that is definitely where I am and building discipline. I can keep going but I think I’ll journal the rest. Thank you so much!!

I personally call this feeling soul fragment retrieval. I feel pieces of our soul can break off during a traumatic event. Leaving us feeling incomplete or in pain. We heal by retrieving soul fragments. The soul fragment “locks” back into place. It’s felt in the heart center. The overall feeling and sensation is hard to put into words. But I know exactly what you are talking! I also believe soul fragment retrieval is possible over lifetimes. I had a past life that kept coming up. So I immersed myself in everything to do with that time period. One day I had an aha moment & all of a sudden, I felt that soul fragment locked back into place! It’s truly a powerful experience! After that I felt a complete release. That issue was no longer a disturbance for me.

If I could tell Lewis something, it would be a relief for me since I have these thoughts every time I see him speak. Dude, you are so much better than you ever give yourself credit for. You have interviewed so many important figures with such an open mind, providing direction for the discussion and summarizing their strong points all while keeping content interesting and personable. You routinely establish trust, bring out subject matter they would normally not share and leave them feeling heard. Your humbleness is endearing but does not detract from your brilliance! You were never a 24 y/o punk, but have been a gem of a human being your whole life. It's who you are. You are someone that I strive to emulate every single day. Your strength is amazing!! ❤❤❤

Strong women are drawn to vulnerable men. Their maternal instincts kick in and I guess that could make a man feel suffocated in an intimate relationship. The stronger and more self assured you become, your choices will be more on an even keel. All the best Louis ❤❤❤

I felt that fear of talking in front of peers. This is why I always stay quiet. But I definitely want to change that too. I want to impact people as well. Good to know I’m not the only one that feels this way.

    • @AnnTsungMD

Thanks for sharing how you feel! It's completely understandable to feel nervous about speaking in front of others. But it's great to hear that you want to change that and make an impact on people. Remember that everyone has fears and doubts, even those who appear confident on the surface. One way to overcome your fear of public speaking is to practice and prepare in advance. Start small by speaking in front of a mirror or a small group of trusted friends or family members. Gradually work your way up to larger audiences. With time and practice, you can become more comfortable and confident speaking in public. Good luck!

I live in a city in England, in East Midlands, where hugging is a No!. The majority of people take it as inappropriate, or offensive..... I keep thinking of the minority, who do show their heart and appreciate such a special gift like getting a warm loving hug.

    • @JamieAndrick
      @JamieAndrick 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

Awe.. that's sad that they find hugging offensive! Depends on who your hugging and the motive behind it if its inappropriate.. a single woman hugging someone married because she is trying to get his attention.. yeah, majorly inappropriate!

It is so weird how humans can experience the exact same thing. You described this feeling of "being trapped" and that's something I've been struggling unconciously forever with any kind of relationship, and actually I never got into a relationship because of this. And I don't know still how to get over it. This conversation definitely helps me to dig deeper. Thank you

It can be challenging to navigate these emotions and find ways to move forward. One approach that may be helpful is to explore the root of these feelings and work on building self-awareness. This may involve examining past experiences or beliefs that contribute to these emotions, and working on developing a greater sense of self-worth and self-trust. Additionally, seeking support from a trusted friend, family member, or mental health professional can be valuable in developing strategies to overcome these challenges. Remember, everyone has their own unique journey, and there is no one "right" way to approach relationships. It's important to prioritize your own well-being and take the time you need to work through these emotions.

I really needed this podcast episode! I have felt EXACTLY like this for so long. This has been very enlightening and helpful, I have even walked similar path of turning inward, but DOING is completing the circle. Sometimes we back out and abandon when we know it’s not right.

This conversation is very inspiring! Just a word of advice from personal experience, it's not always good to pay in advance. Some people lose their incentive to work after they get their money. For most people, money is the reward, so give it to them after they earn it.
