- Hi
In this video we going to create basic #muscle, using a #vellum in #Houdini 19.5
First we’re going to create tetrahedral constraints vellum and then we’re gonna create a attache to geometry constraint to keep the animation and we gonna paint the stiffness using paint attributes node to customized stiffness before that, we will convert the geometry to VDB, using VDB from polygon to have better topology
Then we are going to use point deforme to keep the topology solid.
Also, we gonna animate our geometry along the Z axis using this equation ($T * 0.5)
I hope this quick trip will assist you with your project

0:26 - Basic vellum tetrahedral soft body
1:32 - Geometry animation and vellum
2:04 - Attached to geometry paint attribute
4:20 - Remesh the geometry using VDB
5:53 - Transfer the animation using point deform
7:33 - Customize Tetrahedral stiffness
11:30 - Animate along a Z axis
12:40 - Transfer the simulation to the original geometry
Loved every part of it man! crazy one helped me a lot!
My pleasure, bro
Ty so much one more time Diyzen for ur top quality yet user friendly content. I am very grateful to be able to accompany you in your evolution as a VFX artist.
Cheers.
My pleasure! dude, I appreciated every kind word you give me
Can you please create a Chimera by using photo reference of a lion, snake and goat to create a mythical monster?
Do you have any footage or video clip similar to that?
Actually this video is not about muscle, it is just a vellum softbody setup driven by geo. Nevertheless, thanks for the video.😂
Yeah that’s so funny , just for the record,Houdini muscle system is using vellum solver so this tutorial is glimpse of whole muscle system
@@diyz3n yeah, I was a Houdini beta tester and worked with the system it since H18.
that’s so cool
Great content!
Thank you 🌹
Good bro ✊❤️
Thanks 🔥
Cool, but not the jiggle physics I was looking for.
Oh thanks, I hope the next one will be
Could you show how to get the model/animation in the first place?
hi, it’s so easy. Actually you can Google that and you will have a lot of results. honestly most of the file was a blender file and for that I download the blender just for exporting my file to FBX or alembic (that’s so funny)
@@diyz3n I understand it’s easy, but it would be cool to have link / source to the same file (where possible) to be able to reproduce exactly the same results.
so if you have the link to the source file, I’d love to download it and export from Blender to FBX or Alembic. Huge thanks.
Yeah, I appreciate your concern, you know I’m trying to offer an method or approach an idea and i expect that you will expand this idea and share it with others and build our community. That’s my goal
I will try to get the link of the file and I will inform you that’s no problem dude
Video title is a bit misleading. This is vellum sim, not muscle sim.
That’s why I called it vellum muscle, that’s mean vellum produce muscle effect
Having said that, I found out the muscles solver in Houdini uses vellum to simulate
Wao. Simple and clear
Thanks happy to hear that
