    Awesome. Thanks for the tutorial. I have one question, how to assign the textures to a mixamo character that has more than one shape? I mean the ninja character has only one but what if I want to use Drake for example?

      yeah, I’m totally understand question but the only solution I have is to convert this multi part shape texture to the udim as a one texture that’s will work. having said that eventually in karma, you can recreate your material with the separate part and assign it to the root of the crowd and it will work eventually to apply that individually for each agent.

      @@diyz3n definitely been building on the result and combining with others vids and getting some cool looks with davinci displacement post render, my lightning hda is like 10x better after this vid, i subbed to the patreon. For this video specifically I wonder why you don't use group by range? The expression you use is very useful but doesn't work in the loop if you add branches, group by range before copy to points on the geo to copy side keeps the points connected really easily

      it only grabs one of the lines it generates but if you make a group on the line itself before copying you can select that in stead of the backtick expression to throw noise on the middle of all of them without disconnecting the branches

    Hi. Thanks for a nice short video, useful for beginners. I have only one advice. You need to do something about the room echo in your recording. You can try foam, also NVIDIA has a good noise suppressor based on artificial intelligence, which can remove even a working vacuum cleaner. This will help improve the quality a little. Thanks

      Hi bro, I love the idea to be honest maybe in the future I will create a video for it, but in the meantime, if I want to do something like that, I will do that with sop solver in DOP level I will add ragdoll agent to the terrain and I will tell the crowd to adopt that terrain this is a concept, but technically we need to research about that.

      Hi It’s actually quite simple. You just need to do that in Solaris and assign it to the root of the crowd. Everything should work perfectly. I believe the scene file on my patron has that.

    Nice tutorial Sir! For thoose whos strugle with that method, probably its not working because you test the setup on the frame 1 and not on the frame 0. Frame 0 is the default param and your timeline probably start with frame 1 by default. Dont know how could you achive to work like that in the video, but its solved in my side.

    I appreciate simple tutorials created with just a few nodes, but I'd prefer if the lessons could be done without relying on plugins. These days, there are so many plugins that tutorials are becoming increasingly difficult to follow. I believe one of Houdini's greatest strengths is creating things without the aid of plugins. Of course, commercial considerations are understandable, but I would prefer to avoid overly plugin-dependent tutorials. Thanks, as always, for the great lessons.

    this is like the Maya 'virus' from a while ago, that kept opening ports on your machine and spreads from a Maya file to the next, and the script multiplies like that, I think is more of 'proof of concept' than an actual 'virus', which the idea is to spread quickly, but doesn't do much other than contaminate the Maya and now Houdini files. But they are a pain to clean up. The solution was to have a script that blocks the 'autorun' stuff on these files, and prevents Maya from executing stuff without asking first. Probably the same will need to be done to Houdini startup environment.

      Yeah, I didn’t know that they have such a issue in autodesk Maya !! suddenly I saw this breach so I decide to inform everyone till sidefx noticed that and fix it

      @@diyz3n It was an issue like years ago, so probably the solution will be the same workaround, some callback that keeps an eye on 'automatic scripts' ,I still have my script 😃 just in case.

    i have a question i have to animated fighter jets i want to distroy them when they collide each other ho can i do that i tryied but it is working on only static objects they arent following animation diraction?

      yeah, I tried that before and I have the same issue but with two cars rather than two jets so here’s some solution you can drive their animation by velocity Two you can make RBD configure the node and turn on animated & deform and before they collide turn off an animated & deform (not tested though) if you see that not working on the SOP level, try to create an sop solver inside the RBD solver and do the same thing with attribute manipulation

      Thanks, Will The material rendering part it’s so easy you need just a materialX with a emission turned on and basic render set up And on the compositing, just add a little bit of a glow effect ,That’s all The tricky part was shape of thunder strike

      @@WillPreston3D no actually I applied the glow for the overall image because glow will detect the brightest pixels which is a lightning strike and will apply that more by the way, I started my Discord channel the link in Patreon I pin that so feel free to join it and we’ll discuss more in-depth there

      if davinci and blender, render in layers with holdouts, on lightning layer nodes luma key and add xglow, also can add noise with displacement node to make it look way more detailed. Lightning looks kinda wack in the sim/render software but really cool once you just add glow and noise, even basic lines look like legit movie lightning, being in 3d space hella helps

      Yeah, it’s possible matter fact in Houdini, you can have your point attribute and you can export that as alembic file and then imported in cinema 4d Just be sure when you import your alembic file you need to enable import attribute or something like that I don’t remember to be honest

      It’s basically everywhere, but the most corrupted file come from the cyber criminal they will have social engineering and They will send it to you as an email.
