I’m so thankful there are people like you that are fearless enough to do these black water dives and share this incredible world with us. I’ve been diving for 12 years now but I can’t get up the nerves to dive at night, so thank you for sharing your videos 😊
I have my camera and video lights on a tray and the lights are positioned for normal macro shots. Generally somewhere around the 11 o’clock and 1 o’clock positions. Hope that helps!
@@shoredivingalongthekonacoa6450 Thank you for your reply. Intuitively, I was using similar position. I am glad that I am on the right track. Many thanks again. Hope to watch more of your great videos.
Blackwater dives involve drifting in the currents of the open ocean at night. For safety reasons, commercial charter boat operators will tether divers to the boat so you stay with the boat and so you don’t go too deep. At night, with no reef below you, it can be very disorienting how deep you are and keeping divers at a depth of 60 feet or less minimizes risks of getting lost at sea and/or decompression sickness.

Thank you, glad you enjoy them! Hope you eventually can try a night dive (over a reef) it's a very calming experience at night!
очень красивое, я бы сказала прелестное видео)) спасибо
Again, great video! I especially liked your insertions of the edited stills right after seeing the subject and photographer. Masterfully done.
Mahalo! His pictures are absolutely stunning! So thankful he let me incorporate them into the video!
That seahorse!!!!! 🤯❤️
Beautiful! Which camera did you use?
Thank you. The video is from an Olympus TG6. The incorporated still shots are from various DSLR/mirrorless cameras.
Sea life is incredible
Awesome video and great music selection. Could you please let me know how do you position video lights for this type of filming?

You must have been on the other Jeff's boat. Awesome shots man.
Skinny Jeff’s boat 🤣
Why is Blackwater Diving only allowed a depth of 60ft if the water is thousands of feet deep

Are those creatures bioluminescent or did you use UV light?
I was using a video light to bring out all the color of the animals.
