This was the best experience I’ve ever done. Was horribly scared of not only dark water, but sharks also I get extremely seasick. I overcame all of those fears and couldn’t recommend any experience more than I could recommend this. I’ve been skydiving, zip lining, etc. but this was mine blowing. I’m moving to the big island and keep telling my friends that they can stay with me, but they need to have the funds available so they can experience this.
Omg I did this yesterday and it was truly the best experience of my life. We saw around 9/10 manta rays and a few of them touched us and they came so close
Manta Rays are such graceful creatures! This was beautiful to watch, and so cool that they came so close. Your animations were awesome too! I would have to gather up a lot of courage to get in the ocean, especially at night, but I am sure it is an amazing experience. Thank you for sharing your adventures!
We went with "Manta Ray Advocates Hawaii" and the experience was nothing short of amazing! I liked it because there was no boat involved. We just swam in from the shore for about 2 swimming pool lengths and the tour people had lights. The Manta Rays swam so close to us and I loved the way they trusted us. I would do it again if I was in Hawaii. This experience does not disappoint!
Thank you so much for having filmed this. I also went for a night snorkel with Manta rays in Kona Hawaii but didn’t have a camera on me and months after I still can’t get the image out of my head. I rlly just wanted to revisit that moment by seeing it on footage or sth. You made it possible for me to do that. Thank you so much
you made ME cry! soooooooooo beautiful. I am terrified of water and night so not for me but my fiance, mother year old son and gf are going next week! So excited to treat them to this epic Adventure! Thanks for the awesome video. Aloha!
Nice! I am looking forward to the experience in the future! If you were using a GoPro, did you have any special settings you used? Your footage came out great!
Cool video and love the animations. I was rewatching my video i posted just reminiscing from doing the scuba dive version of this and was curious about what the snorkel was like and came here. If you want more peacefulness, definitely do the dive instead. Everyone has to be certified and thus are calm in the water, plus dive masters will put down lights around sunset to start getting more plankton earlier on. Truly breathtaking and definitely one of the best experiences ive ever done. One of the few things where what you see really is what you get.
I will totally do this! We are planning a H.S. graduation trip with our oldest grandson this summer. Just trying to decide which tour/location to book for this adventure.
I’m borderline unsure if I ever would, but this was too cool of an experience to at least witness on video🙌🏼I laughed harder than I should have at the manta ray getting kicked when trying to eat, that was a great😂
I just found this channel and saw this amazing video. I was wondering if I may download it and use only a small snip bit of this video for my piece I am writing! I will not use audio just the vid and I will not gain anything from this besides just the love of writing music and making edits!
It states that you have to be a super strong swimmer, how did your kids do? I was planning to take my 6 year old with us. Are you allowed to wear life vests?
They provided life vests for anyone that wasn't comfortable with their swimming abilities. We also each had a pool noodle to hang onto and use to keep our feet up. Our kids were all fine but they are pretty confident in the water. There is really only a small period of time when you are not hanging onto the floating platform where you need to swim.
You will want to be comfortable with putting your face in the water. They have life jackets and pool noodles to help you float so you don't have to be a strong swimmer.
We just finish, we didn’t see anything. Apparently for the last 3 weeks it’s been empty. Speaking to the crew they theorize they may have move location. Farther and deep waters.
I think ur basically saying ur a millionare who can afford to go on a million adventures giving the average family a standard of vacationing that we'll never be able to live up to so social media is basically the downfall of civilization, thanx
Lol, I work 40 hours a week and live paycheck to paycheck. You are making assumptions. There are plenty of average families that travel full time and choose to spend money on experiences instead of stuff. Full-time travel is not a vacation it's a lifestyle with tradeoffs.
What do you think? Would you jump into the ocean at night with a bunch of car sized mantas?
We just did this last night. It was awesome.
I did❗️
In a heartbeat
Going in Feb 2024. Cant wait! How did you record underwater?

Totally relaxing is totally the way to snorkel. Time slows way down, and the animals come to you

Did they touch your skin? because if they did thats bad the slime coat might come off and expose the manta ray to bacteria
Manta Rays are special. I put them in the same class with dolphins, whales, sea lions, etc... They are beautiful and should be protected.

I did this last week. Like underwater worship. Wow. Just amazing. Experience of a lifetime. Great video.

Great video, especially appreciated the added visuals you created in the beginning. Will be swimming with rays this weekend, so pumped!

I'd love to do it as a dive. I got me cert last year, but haven't been back yet. Thanks for sharing your experience!
Just did this !!!!😍OMG it was unbelievable. I totally freaked out LOL
I will totally do this! We are planning a H.S. graduation trip with our oldest grandson this summer. Just trying to decide which tour/location to book for this adventure.
That will be so much fun!
Where do you recommend placing your go pro for this? We are going next week. Did you do hand held or did you have it stationary on your body?
Definitely I would just hand hold it, I have a floating wrist strap that I use so it won't sink.
This was the info I was looking for lol thank you both, doing this next week 🙏🏼
Absolutely....this is a bucket list trip for us
Great Times!! Looks like a great time and hope we can do it one day, appreciate the idea!
I’m borderline unsure if I ever would, but this was too cool of an experience to at least witness on video🙌🏼I laughed harder than I should have at the manta ray getting kicked when trying to eat, that was a great😂
Haha, glad you enjoyed it!
mantas are so underrated i never saw a manta until i played tetris effect connected this video is beautiful already i wish i can snorkel with mantas
I totally agree. They are incredible. I hope you have the opportunity someday!
Holy cow! if i cant 'swim' per se- can i still do this? Vests provided? Ive snorkeled a couple times.. wh a vest on.. loved it...
Same question! Hope we get an answer. Hoping vest provided, however i only see pool noodles
Such beautiful creatures. Love the animation too!!🚤
which company did you book with? looks amazing!
Just came back from Big Island and did the tour, it was well worth it, incredible experience !
Manta came right on que it's like they were waiting for them to stop so they can start the job for night shift
I just found this channel and saw this amazing video. I was wondering if I may download it and use only a small snip bit of this video for my piece I am writing! I will not use audio just the vid and I will not gain anything from this besides just the love of writing music and making edits!
How amazing was this!!?!!
Wow, great footage. How did you keep the video so steady in rough waters?
Thanks! My camera has built in stabilization, but I also did some work in editing to help keep it smooth.
Great video! For under water filming did you just use GoPro 10?
Thanks! And yes the gopro hero 10 is my current action camera.
I actually did this a week ago and it was awesome. I even GOT touched by one of the rays!
That's awesome! Wasn't it an incredible experience?
Wow, that was amazing!!! Looks like they come really close to you. Great capture!
So close! They actually brushed our legs and elbows a few times. Thanks for watching!

@@OurMillionAdventures can I ask which company you went with? Many don’t say they offer life vests
Hang Loose Tours is who we went with.
Looks like an amazing experience! Were life vests available?
yes
hiii! what was the temperature of the water?!
This is awesome! Thank you so much for sharing this amazing moment with us!
Thanks for watching 😁
Sorry if this is asked all the time lol. But how much does this cost per person?
I cannot swim, do they let you wear life jackets? Can we bring our own?
Which tour company did you use and did they let you use a snorkel vest?
Hang Loose tours. They had life vests for those that wanted them.
Thank you for sharing this experience. Like...seriously, I had no idea.
What an experience for your family.
It was amazing! Definitely hope to do it again in the future.
How long were you under the water
What is the requirements for this activity? Can someone don’t know how to swim joint?
Thanks
Thanks
You will want to be comfortable with putting your face in the water. They have life jackets and pool noodles to help you float so you don't have to be a strong swimmer.
Which tour company did you choose, and why? Great vid!
Thanks! We went with Hang Loose Tours for no other reason other than we found a Groupon. They did a good job though, I would recommend them.
We just finish, we didn’t see anything. Apparently for the last 3 weeks it’s been empty. Speaking to the crew they theorize they may have move location. Farther and deep waters.
Sorry to hear that! Sounds like they are getting tired of being kicked in the face.
I did this when I was in Hawaii
Scary
This was awesome , great footage . 🙌
Glad you enjoyed it!
I’m so terrified of being in the water at night like that, my wife convinced
Me to go tho
thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
How long was the boat ride to the snorkeling point? (I'm scared of getting seasick...)
It was about 15 to 20 minutes from the harbor
just beautiful

I paid 100 bucks for a tour and didn’t see one lol

Nope. Too much fish
It was quite fishy 😜

This is the best video explaining what hi and what the mantas do! Mahalo
Would love to do this, but deathly afraid of sharks.
I’m on Oahu and want to do this so bad! Wish we had it here
