So I'm confused.. when I first got excited for this game in the earlier trailers it already was gonna be multiplayer, Then they changed their minds and confirmed they were gonna change the direction of the game by making it single player, which also got me excited cuz my first thought was that it meant we were gonna get more of a deeper roleplay narrative story in an open world. So I was like ok cool! I'm intrigued! And now without addressing it they've changed their minds yet again and decided to make it multiplayer after all??? Don't get me wrong either way I'll still look forward to it! But I am starting to get concerned. And is it just me? Or did the earlier trailers looked more open world? This trailer is open sure, but it gives limited area vibes for each run.. am I trippin? Do y'all know the trailers and announcements I pointed out?
I'm hoping this scratches the itch that early The Division gave me. As long as it stays how this trailer looks and doesn't add things like The Division did (like the shield "ultimate" and spam rolling) then I think this would be a fun game.
I don't know why they made this game an extraction shooter! A lot of players do not like to interact with other players when it comes to losing everything after death. I think they should have kept the game it was supposed to be originally. IMO.
Graphically, it looks very good. Which is expected from Embark, they did a phenomenal job on The Finals. Trailer-wise, I'm getting strong vibes of Anthem, where they did the staged "team gameplay" and narrative combination, and we saw how that game turned out. The video is not showing compelling gameplay or gun battles, which is very concerning. Plinking away at small drones isn't fun for long, and the big distances look very empty here, with long distance gun battles that may encourage a lot of camping. The "search the collapse and fight small bands of players" feels a lot like The Division. For some people that's great, for me, I found the game to lack engagement quickly. My gold standard for PVPVE is Hunt Showdown, which has much more interesting environments, more NPC enemies and more variety than shown here, and peak gunplay which is fairly unique given the setting. I hope this game does very well, and I will probably give it a try, but this trailer didn't sell me on it.
If this is a PVP extraction shooter where you lose your gear if you die, why have 3rd person? Peaking around corners and over low walls is going to be a serious problem
If done right, this type of could be incredible, groups joining up with other groups to split loot and dominate or to be taken out by rival fractions, or it will be DOA

So they turned it into an extraction looter? Damn well so much for waiting.

What is an extraction shooter?
@@Archetype_M3T4L Its like DMZ frim cod or Escape from tarkov. You loot places in the map. And then you do an extraction. If you die, you lose everything.
I was interested until they introduced pvp. Thanks no
why?
@@VladTheSoursome game were better single player than pvp
This game + pvp is basically tarkov
@@VladTheSour Because not everyone likes being the punching bag. The people there for PvE are forced to PvP that they don't want with zero recourse, meanwhile PvPers can just ignore the PvE content by ganking PvErs for their loot (which PvErs are not allowed to get out of because 'it's part of the sauce').
@@alimanan502 but better, because it's not tarcov
@@omegaprime223I don't actually think that that is a bad thing. Honestly, it's just a niche of pvpve games that players have to get good at both sides of combat in the game, eventually mastering it as a whole! Sometimes it best to lay low to simply get a quest/objective done, or riskilly hunting down others to get loot! The general consept has so much diversity to it and I love it!
And if you don't like that kind of game, that's fine.
I love to see that Noken is still doing trailers and gameplay demos. I remember him well from his early Battlefield 2 videos.

@@LEV1ATAN Bro I know this person in real life. I don't think this is another corporate studio wanting to bank in on some cash, otherwise they would have just went with a f2p scheme. To be fair, Tab's comment can seem a little off considering how many games have had a straight up sad release. From what I've seen, I think this team and their leadership, is gonna do a good job.
This is the only studio of ex-devs from a bigger studio who are actually putting out games
The sound effects are fantastic!
I will admit, the sound design is impeccable
Well sound design (atleast combat sound) shows they're really the people who worked on Battlefield and Battlefront games.
IMO.
It’s been a long time since I saw the earlier amazing trailer with superb music.
This was a nice gameplay trailer, I look forward to seeing more of this game next year.
I really like the art design
I was expecting Helldivers copies to start popping up but I think we're still in the extraction shooter era
If this is a PVP extraction shooter where you lose your gear if you die, why have 3rd person? Peaking around corners and over low walls is going to be a serious problem
3rd person pvp is camp city, rip this game
Technical presentation looks really good, I especially like the Spanish mediterranean setting.
If done right, this type of could be incredible, groups joining up with other groups to split loot and dominate or to be taken out by rival fractions, or it will be DOA
One of my most anticipated games in recent years
Bring back the PVE game we were promised!

Hunt is SO underappreciated
I had several heart pounding moments in the play test. It seems a bit more chill overall than Hunt Showdown (I haven't played that), but still plenty of intense fights.
@@StephenHutson I've been searching for a good extraction shooter that ISNT Hunt on PS5. Its very difficult, of the handful we gave all have been disappointments except Hunt

Game is DOA. It was perfectly situated to be a replacement for Destiny 2 and they decided to turn it into an extraction shooter that no one asked for. Bandwagoners ahoy.
The previous trailer from 2 years ago from game awards: 20 ppl helping each other fighting big boss robot PVE which gave me HYPE
And now it turns into extraction shooter PVP mode which is a hard pass to me. It is also no longer free-to-play and will be a premium game with a price tag of around $40
bro 40 bucks ain't no premium game with prices nowadays going up to 80 bucks, also a f2p game usually equals a p2w or p2 progress faster result as they have to make money somehow

I thought this game was about fighting big robots in a PVE setting. What a waste of expectations 😢
First trailer: Dancing on my own about a cool co-op robot fighting game, pretty excited for this
Literally nobody saying anything: ...
Embark: We're just another run of the mill extraction shooter now :)
Pretty much all of us: Oh....ok....
I think this is gonna flop, sorry to the devs that worked so hard on it but there is little to no room for more extraction shooters, we're all tired of them.
From F2P PvE to a $40 extraction shooter.
So from wishlist to ignore list
You're going to still play it
I had this one on wishlist for a while now
They should make a gameplay trailer based on the true experience:
Load time to start the match
Spawn
Start looting
Get destroyed by a try-hard
Lose everything
Load time back to hub
If in a good mood, try again
If in a bad mood, uninstall
The people that try to rush down coordinated teams are usually the ones that parish in a fight, the same can't be said for inexperienced players..

Well it has harmony alright combining the two together becoming PvEvP. I'm happy for the change but I understand why others wanted coop only. So far f2p coop games die fast like the first descendant.
Absolutely not true. A dev team NEEDS to know how their target audience reacts to a game. From a pure marketing perspective - if most of the feedback you get to your game is negative you have to change stuff (doesn't need to be the game itself, but at least the communication and marketing went completely wrong)
