When we picked up our golden doodle we thought he was going to look like a golden retriever he had a very flat coat. This didnt matter to us he was perfect and i loce golden retrievers too. As time went on he doodled right out with a gorgeous wavy coat. If it helps at all the things i noticed is
-long eyebrows almost comical they woukd tucknunder his ears if i put them there
-kinda wavy hair on ears
-lengthier hair around the nose area. I wouldnt call it a "mustash" but the hair was kinda fluffier around the nose not by much but looking head on you could see it.
About two months ago we lost are 14-year-old flat hair golden doodle, Frieda. She was without a doubt the best dog I ever owned out of six dogs through my 78 years Are heart has been broken and we have really missed her. After she was gone for two weeks, I started looking for another golden doodle. Few days before Mother's Day I spotted a 16-week-old pup that it seems her hair wasn't as curly as her brothers and sisters. She was just what we were looking for. We purchased her on Mother's Day and my wife agreed Marion would be a good name for her. My mother's name was Marion who lived to the age of 96 and passed away ten years ago. Marion will arrive to our house in two days.
How is Marion settling in?
If you did'nt want coat to be curly why did'nt you just go for a normal golden retreiver? Isnt the whole point of breeding with the poodle to have the curly hypo-allergenic coat?

Thanks for this! Im getting mine tomorrow and her coat is pretty straight im wondering if she will ever fluff out and get wavy? She had curly/wavy ears and a pretty thick beard but the rest of her body is bone straight lol
Same! My breeder mentioned that sometimes it takes up to a year to notice their actual hair.
@@brendalanderos239 Right ive heard that too, her ear hairs are curly and the hair on her neck is starting to get wavy and her chest and hip area are really fluffed out now but its funny because the rest of her hair is still straight 😂😂 i guess it’s definitely taking its time but she’s so cute 😂🥰
