About two months ago we lost are 14-year-old flat hair golden doodle, Frieda. She was without a doubt the best dog I ever owned out of six dogs through my 78 years Are heart has been broken and we have really missed her. After she was gone for two weeks, I started looking for another golden doodle. Few days before Mother's Day I spotted a 16-week-old pup that it seems her hair wasn't as curly as her brothers and sisters. She was just what we were looking for. We purchased her on Mother's Day and my wife agreed Marion would be a good name for her. My mother's name was Marion who lived to the age of 96 and passed away ten years ago. Marion will arrive to our house in two days.

When we picked up our golden doodle we thought he was going to look like a golden retriever he had a very flat coat. This didnt matter to us he was perfect and i loce golden retrievers too. As time went on he doodled right out with a gorgeous wavy coat. If it helps at all the things i noticed is -long eyebrows almost comical they woukd tucknunder his ears if i put them there -kinda wavy hair on ears -lengthier hair around the nose area. I wouldnt call it a "mustash" but the hair was kinda fluffier around the nose not by much but looking head on you could see it.

I so wanted to have at least one litter from my sweet baby girl Niya, who is a 5yr old Blue Nose Pitbull. I wanted her to have a litter, so I could get a Male puppy and then spay her and have him neutered. That way, when her times comes to pass, I would at least have more time with her son, until his time comes and that would be the end of me owning any more pets and then I'd go travel the world but her last cycle was just too much for me! She went in heat and literally bled for almost a full month. The clean up, pads, maintenance, laundry, her discomfort, anxiety and my sanity were all tested!... She is scheduled to be Spayed in 3 weeks. I cannot go through another heat cycle again with her and truly feel this is for the very best!.... 😔

Thank you for making these honest tutorial videos. I have two long haired dogs that are not Golden Doodles, but Lowchen, ( little lion dog) and their coats mat just the same. Lowchen only have a single coat and if kept in full show coat like mine are, they need brushing everyday to prevent mats. Other long haired dog breeds may shed onto the the floor, but Lowchen shed dead hair into their coats that if not brushed out daily will cause matting. Your advice and techniques can be applied to any long haired breed of dog. And it is important that owners of long haired dog breeds learn to start the commitment of brushing their fur kids daily when they are puppies, and then 10 minutes a day will become a habit for owners and dogs alike 😍
