    Yes! I agree. I would love it if Lutterloh would re-release patterns from each decade. I have the same desire to recreate fashion from popular TV shows like "Mad Men" and "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel".

    Very good video. Answered a lot of questions I had. Also, a lot of other videos I’ve seen of people making the patterns show the people making a photo copy of the tiny pattern and using that so they don’t stick tape and poke holes in the original pages.

    I just heard about this system and it looks so fun I bought it. I'm anxiously awaiting it's arrival. I watched a few of your other videos and I feel that we are at the same level in our sewing skills. Not a beginner by a long shot but by no means an expert. I subscribed to your channel and I hope you continue to make videos about using the Lutterloh system. I'm a bit nervous about sewing without directions but I agree youtube and the google make us all experts if we take the time to find the information we need.

    I just got my Lutterloh set, plastic templates and their large book with 280 patterns. I am impressed with the quality of the materials. I was amazed at how quickly I received this set once I ordered it. It was delivered on a Sunday by DHL carriers. I've been a long time sewer, as I am a 72 year old grandmother and am anxious to make my first outfit using this method. I am not able to buy a dress off the rack that has a defined waistline, as I have a longer bodice and always have had to lengthen the top part of a dress as well as make the shoulders a bit narrower. I think I will really enjoy using their 'patterns". Having so many patterns in one book will also allow me to sew for my significant other as well.

    I just got the system, have yet to make anything but love the concept. I am planning to make some outfits from there. Just found your channel and looking forward to see some of your makes from the system as well. Thank you for sharing.

    Thank you so much for the in-depth review! I've been sitting on a fence for many reasons and you cleared some of them up.

    thank you for the video. I had just ordered the system so was interested in your comments about it. I love sewing and came across this on you tube. It is expensive but not if it works well as they say it does. I rang a UK number which I found on the website and spoke to a Mr Lutterloh who explained lots of things to me. I asked him how it would accommodate personal idiosyncrasies for example I have a curved high back and sloping shoulders. He said you have to make a muslin and alter it to fit. I bought Surefit designs at the beginning of lockdown last year as I wanted to learn pattern drafting and I made several patterns and then loads of muslins but now I have a good fit. The patterns offered by SFD are really old fashioned but I have been drafting my own. I am hoping this system will be better than that. Many thanks again. I have subscribed and will keep checking in

      I'm so happy you bought the system! I'm glad my video was helpful to you! I also have an instagram account you can follow so you can know what projects I'm working on. I have a 4-year-old at home, so I don't finish projects as quickly as I'd like, but I try to keep everyone updated on my progress via my instagram page. instagram.com/crystal.m.sewist/

    I ordered mine almost three weeks ago, and USPS doesn't even show it has shipped. How long did it take you to get yours?

    • @crystalm9981
      @crystalm9981  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't remember the exact timing, but it didn't take 3 weeks. Did you order from the US site or the eourpoean site?

    Hi Crystal. So wish we could get English version for the Lutterloh school. I have made three pair of slacks from the book and very happy how they fit me. But, more information would be nice from Lutterloh, considering the cost of the system and extras.

      I didn't even know there was a "Lutterloh School." Lol. I am happy to keep making videos that hopefully you find helpful.

    I agree with you on the vintage patterns and Madmen haha. Love the 60s and I think there is a wasted opportunity to have vintage pattern magazines sold separately. When I initially got the basic set, I thought out of the 280 patterns there would’ve been more men’s patterns then there actually were(I only counted 10) luckily I also ordered there men’s pattern magazine which was an additional 70 patterns. But I recently purchased a 60s edition off Ebay and that had over 400 patterns and a good amount of men’s stuff in there. I’m super happy that I have it, and don’t regret buying it, But I would rather pay 30 or 40 dollars for a vintage pattern book that had maybe 50 patterns in it.

    I've had this system for years and need a new measuring tape and can't find it alone. Do you have any hints

    • @crystalm9981
      @crystalm9981  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can buy the rulers here: lutterloh-system.com/product/tailor-and-designer-curve-out-of-acryl/

      If you are looking for the measuring tape not the rulers, the Canada Lutterloh website (lutterloh.ca/product/replacement-tape-measure/) has them listed. I think you could probably also email customer service from the main Lutterloh website that Crystal linked, and ask them if they could sell you one.

      @@MabedeBabe The more expensive version of it has plastic versions. The cheapest only uses cardboard.
