What a jewel of a build. She leaves really hard and goes straight. I was amazed at how good it ran right off the board. Not too many scratch builders left in the world today. She runs out of pond in a hurry.
There cool looking but I don't think they would increase top speed on a model boat maybe less load on the motor/esc longer runtime but not top-end speed. Just my opinion.
That thing needs a bigger pond! 1/10 scale quarter mile = 132' 1/8 scale quarter mile = 165 '. I'm amazed at how well the boat accelerates and how stable it is. I'd swear it was a kit if I didn't know you scratch built it. A 36 inch version with a TFL 2 to 1 transfer case and a 40mm diameter single motor on 8S would be something! Gosh I'm salivating just thinking about it. Awesome video Big B! Cheers!
Thanks, a lot George now you've got the 36 version on my mind, I've been wanting to use the TfL 1:2 drive for something. Got the ole gears turning now. I was not aware of the 1/8 scale quarter mile being 165' that's even better!
I worry about that boat getting damaged. It's a beast and a work of art. You really did a great job. The standing start is perfect, you need to bigger lake .
@@IRONCLADRC just looks like the boat is so fast it needs a longer run. Can't believe how nice that boat turned out. I'll cry if it gets damaged. Amazing work mate.
Awesome prop box Rob!! Big B you know the kids toys where you push the button & it makes motor sounds. You need to install that on the boat hooked to remote. So it sounds like a real drag boat going down the water.
I would like to see you build another one with jet drives to compare the two I love that boat can't wait till you get some good flat water to run it on
Awesome job! Boat looks and handles great, very similar to the scale boats. Please say no to the turn fin ideas. You want to keep as little hydrodynamic drag as possible. You might consider thinning or shortening your rudder until you lose some directional stability, but it would be faster. Interested in seeing you try your "training wheels" on the back of the boat. Might free up the hull a little earlier. Need to blow that tail as quickly as possible. The slow-mo crash looked just like scale........ Unbelievable performance from a scratch built boat with NO major tuning needed to make it operate!!!! Paul
Thanks for the suggestions, I'm very please with her performance, next outing were gonna try inward rotating props, looking for performance differences following video installing rear skis.
I have the same box from Rob with prop numbers and my logo 'Dark Matter Blades'. Its sweet. Im still hoping for a possible trailer build for a hydro. Rob doesnt supply the boxes. He will make the insert only. You can buy the orange box from AliEXpress for 7 bucks.
big b that thing is nuts, any big company would be crazy not to buy your design.i hope someone gets in touch with you about your plans.take care brother
RC companies never buy designs from individuals - steal the concept and make there own design is more in line with their business philosophy. I doubt a boat manufacturer like ProBoat would ever make a drag boat because of the limited function and small target audience. I hope that I'm proven wrong though. Just thought I'd chime in.
With all the power your pushing, getting up isn't a problem. Still tuning to do but looking awesome. Back to your power. Do you think you would get more speed if you were to cut the width of your sponsors back at the ride edge to get rid of drag & the dancing it's doing at full speed. My thought is that the boat would settle down if you have les ride pad to run on. Thanks for your video.
All the 1:1 hydroplanes "dance" at high speeds that's the nature of a hydro. Watch the h1 unlimited hydroplane racing at their top speeds there dancing from sponson to sponson
Have you ever put one of those small water pumps in a boat? I put one in my m41 it really increased the cooling flow and lowered the temps for ....ironclad runs;)
She runs and lookes so nice brother. Looks like initial takeoff is faster with extra weight (motor) or is that my imagination? Do think a little turnfin isn't a bad idea. Not because she doesn't run right, but for turning, to keep her from possibly going into the bank...
I say full trigger to let you guys know where the throttle is. My viewers are not holding the transmitter so you have no idea where the throttle is. If it's annoying I'll stop

We need toroidal props now to get to another level of performance. Will be long time before it comes to RC boats.

Love how it drifts through the turns!

That rooster tail is sick! Absolutely awesome build!
It’s badass B. When you ganja start making production versions? I want one
At the speed your running probably under 2 second pass at 132ft sweet bro you really are a great craftsman!!!
Sick that boat does the business excellent built
ANOTHER AWSUM VIDEO BIG B.
Summer is on the way, can't wait to see what's on the block when it's warm.

Only a couple fresh water bodies of water near me, unfortunately

looks so cool with the motor on and it takes off like a scolded cat wish my drag car ran that straight nice job
Definitely would like to get some of those prop boxes
Email is in the description at the bottom
She launches out of the hole perfectly

Oh man that would be cool as all get out. They have sound modules for rc, you can get different motor/vehicle sounds. Maybe I'll look into it
Great build !! 70mph next. The slo mo crash looked like a full scale crash lol It just looks so much better with engine mounted on
Thank you, 70 would be epic. Park pond all time pb is 71 with the veles.
I would like to see you build another one with jet drives to compare the two I love that boat can't wait till you get some good flat water to run it on
This needs to be a scale spec class
Ohh Man that thing ripps😱😎✨ asowme ✨ perfect build ✨
What props are you using to get out of the hole so hard! Very cool

Awesome boat build king
Awesome build brother!!!
Boat looks great , runs great too.
you have two 90 amp esc's in that boat??? sooo much power!

Very cool. Looks like you need a larger pond...
I agree, lol. Unfortunately I only have 2 options where I live, park pond or the speed run spot, which is brackish water. THANKS FOR WATCHING. BG4L
What??
At about 2:24,,, OH THAT DRIFT!! And you didn't slow mo that! You're slipping bud.
That boat is pretty badass! 💯👍🤙

BIG B! dose howdy doody have wooden balls hell yeah we are going to love! it dam epic 👍✌ FULL TRIGGER
Now you need a trailer to put it on and a crawler to pull it with 😁

I have one installed on my sport fishing boat. Works great. 💪
I hit the like button 16sec into the vid !!!

Great work n videos congratulations
Thanks a lot definitely appreciated BG4L
I really enjoyed this video... greetings and support again my friend👍best
Instant classic. 60+ mph
Looks really good 👍
BEUTEFULL BOAT B. JUST LIKE A ROCKET. DID YOU CLEAR OVER THE STICKERS?
Thank you. No sir I didn't clear over the stickers. Thought about it but decided not to
Good job B.
She is so Awesome BIG B
Insane!!!
Are you producing the hulks to sell by any chance?
Not bad not bad
Looks fun.....scale looks
Awesome
You by chance have plans for the drag boat? I would love to build one.
One of a kind my friend, sorry.
What size diameter flex shaft do you use? I see you switching props out often in your videos.
4mm on this one, counter rotating durle to the twin motor setup
next race season i think im going to be on the stand yelling full trigger/throttle just to be annoying to all the other drivers..
I say full trigger to let you guys know where the throttle is. My viewers are not holding the transmitter so you have no idea where the throttle is. If it's annoying I'll stop
@@IRONCLADRC all the speed runners do it too..
I would change the color, it looks like a lobster man
Nice
Big B how long is that park pond
If I had to guess 200 feet, give or take... I'll walk it out in a future video.
High speed run it at the gator den
Switch the propeller to toroidal propellers
Ok
I think you need a bigger pond........
Ya think.
The hull is your design?
Yes sir 100% custom built
@IRONCLAD RC The is great. They run really well. Can you share the plans for this boat?
