#missing topic - The battleship in the missing topic part of the video is also the Yamato. It's from the Japan animation series called "Star Blazers" and later turned into a feature length movie. The ship, sunk in WWII, was resurrected in a dystopian future as a space battleship to stop an alien race from relentlessly attacking earth.

Wasn't the name changed from Yamato to the Argo in the American version?

Battleship Yamato I use to watch that all the time. It's on yt if anyone is looking for the show. That SR-71 I built one for science class back when I was in school. It was like those rocket kits that you buy but I had to buy two packs of engines just to get it off the ground.

We used to make circular paper airplanes back in the mid 1970's. It had no wings, no propeller, nothing but paper glued into a circle. They flew for a long long way.

Good video, but I can't believe you didn't include an RC Tank. I have a 1/6 scale German WWII tank (38T Hetzer) that weighs over 100 lbs, will go through just about anything, just like a real tank, and it shoots .50 caliber paintballs from the main gun. You really should check out the world of RC Tanks, you're missing out on some truly incredible models.

I saw a model of the Yamato Spaceschip in Central Park NY years ago, zooming about in one of the ponds there. Not as big as this one, but in full color. I actually overheard a guy ask the one who was operating it if it was for sale! LOL

These things from far away look so real
The MiG-21 is my favorite aircraft. Maybe not as fast as the Eagle but it's gonna sneak up on them enemy jets real quiet-like and put a heat seeker in their tail pipes. My neighbor is an old F-4 Phantom pilot and he said he fought one in Vietnam but it got away. He had his share of close calls and narrow escapes from MiGs. He even test flew the then-new F-4 Phantom supersonic at just 10 feet above the ocean, as per orders. I keep telling him to write a book. He even strafed an enemy runway in 1968.

Wasn't this cartoon based show from early 80s? I love that cartoon. The large hole/ cannon in front was the massive weapon it had.

That was the Wave Motion Gun... it used the energy usually reserved for propulsion (the Wave Moton drive), amplified it and directed it from the front of the ship as a weapon

lovingly handcrafted and intricately detailed battleship Yamato, then cheap quad copter with a millenium falcon shell, then an ACTUAL FREAKING JET. yeah, they're kind of inconsistent.

Instead of just a head I would want to whole body or an alligator or crocodile. These are some pretty cool RCs. I remember a person that an RC helicopter that was pretty big.
I have a UDR it’s great just not at huge buggy tracks and takes a little to get the handling down, I rolled it and broke a control arm but now I have aluminum on there and better servo and it rips. It’s just not a basher you jump 20ft in the air type of RC but still is dope
A friend of mine won something very similar (if not same spec) to that "red cat camo x4" from a promotional lottery at the mechanic shop he worked at. You want wide open space to not slam it into something, it chews through an acre in like 3.5 seconds.

UMF Hyper Taxi and the Crazy Ball V2 was eye opening for me. They show how the ancient Hindu depictions of Vimana could have possibly took flight. I always wondered how they could have possibly flew but now I know and that epiphany was quite suprising

The Japanese war ship is the Space Battleship Yamato from the anime of the same name.
In the show, they refitted the WW2 ship Yamato (next ship in this video) to make a space ship to save the world

That very first battleship wasn’t created by an independent Chinese designer. It’s called the Argo and it’s from a Japanese Anime cartoon in the early to mid-80s called star blazers. The Argo was actually a space battleship and that hole in the bow of the ship is a gigantic plasma cannon. It’s been a long time so I forgot the name of weapons and characters. It was an awesome and I watched it all the time. So cool to see that someone actually made the Argo. Really brings me back.
I loved "StarBlazers' after school when I was a kid. The story of the ship itself (Argo, né Yamato) was as outrageous as it was enticing. To keep the enemy from knowing what they were building while having to do all the work in plain sight they built their new star/battle-ship inside the rusty shell of the largest available shipwreck, a WWII Imperial Japanese battleship. Right there the series reached it's pinnacle in the first hour but the rest of the original series held it's own. Remember how the "Argo" shook off the old rust and coral when it first launched and a gleaming new ship rose up? And that first wave-gun firing just feet off the ground. WOW!
