Thanks. I can't believe I've had that slo mo option on my phone. Lol. Definitely gonna be doing more slow Mos. Unfortunately the sound doesn't work w/slowmo
Man!!!! Im impressed!! That is the best!! Magic maiden, it performs just so good!! That slow mo take off with the big block on the back..just epic. Congratulations B, just awesome!, blown away. Sounds great too!!
Well done!! Well, looks like some of those people that thought they knew more than you, and made those negative comments are now eating their shorts!! 😄
She is super impressive for her maiden voyage. Couldn't ask for a much straighter, well trimmed out ride. The launch looked perfect to me. It might be exciting to have the boat blasting into the air at the hit of the throttle, but what you have there is the ultimate in efficiency! Also, don't forget that the water conditions you were running on would be great for a scale hydro, but with your small boat, it is like you are running in 8"-12" chop in a scale boat. We try not to run in those conditions because the boat is too unpredictable (read that dangerous). I think that eventually, you might want to try an aluminum ride plate on your last step, that extends past the sponson. This will allow some adjustment and the ability for the boat to run a higher front attitude. Look up information on "Air Traps" on full scale drag boats. These run along the inside of the sponson, hanging down a bit and parallel to the direction of travel. This keeps the air from spilling out from behind the sponson running surface and lets the hull act more like a tunnel to help hold up the nose. All in all, man, you have thought up, created and accomplished a HUGE undertaking with incredible results. Keep up the great work, I look forward to seeing your further progress. Paul
@@IRONCLADRC Air traps aren't used on top alcohol or top fuel boats as the speed they are traveling would cause too much lift. Some of the fuel boats are basically outriggers at this point. You will find long air traps on Kurtis Craft and Sanger, normally aspirated hydros. It would be interesting to experiment with them and how long they could be. The props do all of the lifting in the tail, just need a way to support the front of the boat as air speed increases. Good luck! Paul ps: i didn't find much in photos. You can usually see them in a side shot when the boat is on the trailer.
Wow, your hydro ( drag boat) is going really well. Your two water channels on the side also work well. You can see that very well in the slow motion. Your idea of molding the boat isn't that bad. Could then be a competitor to the UL 19! Your joy about your boat is fully understandable. Well done!!
Epic epic maiden bro, looks like im second in line when you sell plans or start to mould this baby, i think this could start scale drag boat racing, will start on making floating traffic lights , when you tell me your moulding lots of them . All the best PJB
WOW THATS AMAZING!!! It really gets up and scoots! I have watched some full scale drag boat races lately and it looks and performs just like the real thing 👍 You can set your Gnss gps to record your time within 132f or 0-60 in seconds. I think your on to something here Big B. I’ve always wanted to see rc drag boats, I’ve seen a couple of haphazard builds but no run on the water, I believe this is a (first) true scale-capable performance of an rc drag boat. GREAT JOB… what’s next 😂🤣😂
Freaking awesome work man! I think the skegs on sponsons would finish it off just right, would keep the turn ratio from being to tight. Also, shout out to fellow winter flip flop soldiers lmao
Dude I miss that boat almost as much as you, watching again getting pumped to re maiden my df mini storm with out board added trim tabs hope it helps the torque roll may need to offset my bat tray some we willl see. Peace.
She's lookin sweet Big B! I know you'll have to put more power in it, it's just the way you are. I have seen some videos of other rc drag boats about 7 years old. Great job!
Awesome boat brother! RC boats are just too much fun and it's something you would not understand until you get your first RC boat. When you have a mate with another boat I find the adrenaline hits max. Not having a recovery boat I've had to swim in some crappy places and came home looking like a drowned rat haha.....
Super impressed sir ! Twins are so cool. Surprised you didnt put water outlets on top to verify cooling. With those cool temps, time for more power or big props !!
Awesome build!! Twins in everything. Building out a 36in pathfinder with scale drives now. Just hung up on what size motors I want to put in it. Love my miss geico but satisfying putting one together myself.
Man I missed out on the 28 Pathfinder when they were in stock at ose the 36 is an awesome boat. You know what I've been thinking for my next big build a twin motor mono I think the new carbon fiber, rm40 Raider from ose. Twin monos are few and far between ya know.
Well B... Those are some nice rooster tails... Twins sound awesome, the video sound doesn't let you hear that very good. She looks to do damn fine so far, cg also looking good... A course there are still some things to Tinker and Tune and the paint job off course. But man, this must have been a satisfying moment to see her handle like this...
I was worried about my CG, it's way farther back in the boat than I anticipated but it's working out pretty good so far. I'm doing some body work right now gonna try to get a few more runs before paint booth.
Excellent work!! I am first in line for one. I would be more than willing to spend the same $400-$600 on one of these I would on a sometimes much less quality factory boat.
Awesome Bro, The ride at the end is right-on, cut down the turn rudder she should fly. You might want to get a hold of a fiberglass company about making a mold off that sucker.
Well done. If you can take the energy off that roostertail and directed into the water and might get more power and help hold the bow of the boat down.?.
Hold on...popcorn...ready! Send this boat to: Slow mo kicks ass. Im going out on a limb here and I know Scott M5 agrees...make one of these nitro and you will really have something.
All around fatastic job B. With the super slow mo i estamated the front sponsons diden"t touch down for the first 3 feet of travel.Would you want the rear sponsons on for more lift of the start like the big boys or not? YOUR BOAT IS ROCK SOLID EH!
I'm gonna at least try the rear sponsons, don't think the boat needs them.. took me forever and a day to make those skis identical lol. I'm definitely gonna try'em 😆
Nice.... bastard, been watching your show witch is job well done 👍on its own. Now you come out with NHBA Drag Boat Zippkit G28 is exactly that I have been eye'n. I'm in the Netherlands, Rotterdam not a good place for Suppliers. Shipping U.S. to Europa 😢 the cost of a good kit. Hey here is too you🎉 Boris Wieland
Very easy math on figuring out scale speed of a 1/8 scale ...if your boat does 60 mph 60 x 8 = 480 mph if it does 80mph scale speed is 640 mph... maybe that sucker goes 100mph so scale speed would be 800 mph... thats over 3x faster for its size then the full size one.... Insane speed!
To figure out scale speed: Divide the real speed by the square root of the scale. I'm no math major either so I emailed you a scale speed calculator because I couldn't post the link here.
Awesome build she has a Nice ass aka (Roster tail)!!!! lol so is that boat built out of balsa wood or fiberglass? or both I would def buy one if you made a mold for her!!!!!.........I hope you've Named her!!!! its bad luck to run a boat without a name What's her name? is that made out of a shrimp frame under the gray shell?
Nice Work big B!! She sounds awesome. She needs a name. Enjoy the day.
That thing is B. O. S. S !!!!!!!!! The slow no with the block on it is AWESOME,looks Kick A$$. and runs amazing. Awesome work.BIG B, we’ll dun !!!!!
Thanks. I can't believe I've had that slo mo option on my phone. Lol. Definitely gonna be doing more slow Mos. Unfortunately the sound doesn't work w/slowmo
It launches so hard mate, the AA/FH boys would be proud of you.
RC Problem Child. You aced it. Reg Ken
Man!!!! Im impressed!! That is the best!! Magic maiden, it performs just so good!! That slow mo take off with the big block on the back..just epic.

Damn! She's a drifter. Looking forward to seeing it tuned up. Love watching the water shed off through the hull channels. Awesome maiden, congrats.
awesome build brother, you need to sell your design to a big company and make some money, you deserve it
This thing is awesome!! Can’t wait to see your wild paint job

Thanks for the info, I'll definitely check into air-traps sounds like it may help.

Great work. Have been following this build ! You make quick progress with these builds.
I knew it would run great, beautiful boat mate . Boats don't get any better than this. It's a credit to you mate , fantastic work.
Brilliant well done. Love the drifting when turning. Maybe make a drift boat next. Look forward to the timed straight runs.
CRAZY BUDDY! CRAZY! Awesome work , always so nice to see a project take off and all work well ! Nice job! Boat rips man!👍👍👌

Well I would call that a successful maiden run bro. So impressive that this all came out your head man. Well done
Damn that roost though. It performs just like a drag boat
very nice project sir, very nice boat, of all your boat, thats what the most i like it,
Your hard work has paid off. Great build man. She runs smooth...
She is a beast!! So awesome. Can’t wait for the paint job. Well done big B
NIce Job! Always better when it's your design. Looking forward to seeing what ya do with this going forward.
This is why my boats have twin drives. Such low temps. Congrtets with your megahull.
Would like to see the rear sponsons on it, looks sooo good !
Thanks. I'm still working on the rear sponson ride angles. Once boat is painted we'lll try the rear sponsons

Love it Big B👍Drag boats go straight and fast and looks dam good💪
Been following this build and I love the twin motors it’s got a lot of punch lm looking forward to the next video

Big B sponson is the word you are looking for she sure skookum nice job 👍
That is so freaking awesome! Absolutely Rad!
Looking forward to see your paint creation #BEAST MODE
Awesome job for a first. I love drag boats. Why don’t you swap props &shafts left to right and switch polarity?
Outstanding...!!!Great job...!!!👍🙏😎

I'm thinking the same thing. Looking for some matching round ear 40mm props

The boat looks mean as hell on the water.
Damn, that thing runs great. I’m impressed.

I've been eyeing one of those myself. I'd love to get the big fountain from manfred kulls. Cat killer
Would def get a drag hull if you end up bringing one to market
Roger that
Love it. More pitch on the props will make it wicked quick.
I've got some 3619 otw. C'mon
dibs on the first out of the mold👌

I agree, the last run was the best. Wish I knew someone who could reproduce the hull.?
awe man she booking! yeahhh! 🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾
Worth the wait brother!! Great job!
Brother how you doin? Once again amazing build! That is a freakin awesome awesome boat
Takes off like a rocket😎
Very cool! probably can do 0 to 60 in under 3 seconds!
Gonna be a beast once you get timing right and get her tuned in.
Well done. If you can take the energy off that roostertail and directed into the water and might get more power and help hold the bow of the boat down.?.
I agree we'll try to tame that roster tail a little and turn it In to speed
Nice work man, 👏 👌
The new Water Rocket
Yeeeeaaaaahhhiiiissss it's doing awesome 👌
Good Job now you have to take it to a Manufacture put it in Production !!!!
That would be awesome, I'd do it toooo
Very impressive Bro not to much tuning that's just awesome B...
On the GNSS, you can set it to record only the 132ft drag pass. From dead stop to end of the 132..
Roger that, been meaning to read the directions so I can record some drag passes & Of course it's raining the next couple days here in NC. Grrrrrr.
Great result, she runs real good already. I'm curious about the speed. Cheers, DJ
Thanks brother
Just need to add a wing like the real drag boats have. That would be cool!!
Hold on...popcorn...ready! Send this boat to: Slow mo kicks ass. Im going out on a limb here and I know Scott M5 agrees...make one of these nitro and you will really have something.
Toyan makes a scale nitro v8 that would look sick as heck on this little boat

Mind blown! Mini scale.
Wow amazing top speed up2 k
Good job BUDDY BIG B
Nice work bro
Great video as usual! Are you going to sell a wood kit for that boat?
Unfortunately no, I didn't save my plans.
Hey big B, did you make that step gauge or is there somewhere it can be bought. Cheers mate

omg your fucking sik !! nice build made, i will be watching for the Nederlands!
Sick!!!

Scale speed would be around 30 mph give or take one or 2 mph of top of head
I came up with the same number. Doesn't sound right to me? Seems like it should be higher than 30
270 for 1/8 is I believe 33.75 if I'm doing my math right?
That's what I come up with to, just doesn't sound right to me though 😕
@@IRONCLADRC well ig 1/10 of 270 would be 27 so i would say it is
