I felt the same after October 7. I thought "finally after all the world will see and understand the truth ". Three days later, when the first "Yes, but" statements kicked in, I was wondering how I could be so naive and deluded. I am actually shocked by and terrified of the outbursts of antisemitism across the Western world.

Rabbi Herzog served as rabbi of Belfast from 1916 to 1919 and was appointed rabbi of Dublin in 1919. A fluent speaker of the Irish language[citation needed], he supported the First Dáil and the Irish republican cause during the Irish War of Independence, and became known as "the Sinn Féin Rabbi".[9] He went on to serve as Chief Rabbi of Ireland between 1922 and 1936, when he immigrated to Palestine to succeed Rabbi Abraham Isaac Kook as Ashkenazi Chief Rabbi upon his death. In May 1939, shortly before the Second World War, the British put out the White Paper of 1939 restricting Jewish immigration to Palestine. After leading a procession through the streets of Jerusalem, with an unusually united Jewish following from all sects, on the steps of the Hurva Synagogue he turned and said: "We cannot agree to the White Paper. Just as the prophets did before me, I hereby rip it in two." Some 40 years later, on 10 November 1975 Ambassador Herzog repeated his father's gesture with the UN resolution that Zionism is equal to racism.[11]
During the Second World War, Rabbi Herzog travelled with great risk to the US, and back, not before he was able to secure a meeting with Roosevelt. Roosevelt smiled and did not reply to the Rabbi's pleadings for a promise to help the Jews of Europe. His biographer records that several people noticed that his hair turned white when he left the meeting, which he perceived as a failure.[citation needed] Following this, he immediately returned home, missing the ride on a ship that was sunk by a U-boat, and taking what was said to be the last civilian ship to cross the Atlantic during the war.
After the war, Rabbi Herzog dedicated himself to saving Jewish children especially babies and bringing them back from their places of hiding throughout all of Europe, to their families or to Jewish orphanages. Many of these were hidden in Christian monasteries or by Christian families, who refused to return them. In his biography, he tells of the difficulties he had of meeting the Pope who avoided him[citation needed], but did receive in the end assistance from the Vatican. In later years it was found that Karol Wojtyła, future Pope John Paul II, was the contact who helped the rabbi out.[12] However, defenders of Pope Pius XII have asserted that Herzog maintained friendly relations with the pontiff both during and after World War II. In 1945, he stated: “The people of Israel will never forget what His Holiness and his illustrious delegates are doing for our unfortunate brothers and sisters in the most tragic hour of our history, which is living proof of Divine Providence in this world. Sweden was/is one of three countries targeted for a take over by middle easterners : Sweden Germany and England (and in a lesser measure, Belgium).
Why ? Because the inhabitants of those countries (read : males) were/are very tolerant of foreign men accosting their women in the street.

I can’t say I haven’t considered moving myself and my children to Israel with the tremendous amount of not just Jew hatred, but people openly calling for the eradication of Jews, laughing at Jewish people dying at the same time they openly deny what they’re watching. They’re enjoying this, and it’s sick. My great grandparents waited too long during the holocaust, and I don’t want to wait too long so I need to figure out where the line has been crossed.

Powerful and true. One small clarification though, Gold Mayer was indeed a Palestinian, as was anybody who lived under the British Mandate for Palestine, Jews, Christians, Arabs and any other citizens, would have at that time held Palestinian passports. Prior to the end of WW1 however the entire area, which also included what is now Jordan, had been under Ottoman rule, (Turkish) for about 400 years. The Turks called the area southern Syria. There never was an actual state called Palestine. The Arabs however, weren't content with getting Jordan, they wanted the entire area for themselves, and still do.
Your post is confusing. To be clear Golda Meir was not a citizen of Palestine per se, she was a citizen of the British mandate of palestine shortened to Palestinian. The passport was never going to be a BRITISH Passport so that left labeling it a Palestinian passport but even the currency read eretz Israel.
The point has to be understood that there was no such thing as a Palestinian back then, just Arabs and Jews who temporarily were being called Palestinian until the jewish state was prepared to claim independence.
You are right that they weren't happy with nearly 90% of the land. (Roughly 80% being given to Jordan and then nearly half of what was meant for Israel then being offered to appease the Arabs in the holy land. )

One of the ladies murdered took Palistinians to Israel every day for medical treatment. Many of the Palistinians working in Israel provided plans of the settlements and who was usually home Saturday's. One family who was always out on the weekend had their home left untouched. @@aahh-nh6ov Thank you! I was starting to think that I was the only person with logical thought process that has happened upon this video. I couldn't even stomach watching the video past his first explanation that Arabs refused the first resolution for a state. The obvious bias hatred he has for Palestinians is so blatantly obvious. Besides that he never gives the reasons for the Arabs opposing the resolutions. He didn't point out that the split that was offered gave the Jews almost 60% of the land even though they only made up 30% of the population and only owned 6.7% of the land. Not to mention this was land the Arabs had lived on for 12 centuries and the Jews were immigrants who took advantage of the kindness that was given to them and stole land. I wouldn't expect the people commenting on her to know that because they don't even know enough to know that telling a Jew to hold on Jesus is coming goes against the Judeah belief.

@@rachel_3141 I've only watched 3 mins. Where he makes a comparison with 1940s Germany already. Germany was a nation at war with a military machine. They produced the Bismark and Tirpitz, hundreds of U-boats, the best machine guns yet seen, the Tiger tank, the Me262 and the V2 rocket. They occupied and held large swathes of Europe, they sunk shipping off the US coast and all across the Atlantic, and they drove deep into Russia via several separate prongs. There were few German males of fighting age not in arms. Comparison with Gaza is highly misleading.

In the beginning of the conflict I was neutral, cause I barely knew anything about it. I knew though that Hamas started this war and I already knew what was written in Quran and hadiths about Jews. So it was not that surprising.
A muslim woman I just met a few weeks before October 7th, shared something in her status about praying for the "annihilation" of the Jews. She wrote that on October 10th. I was baffled. The massacre just happened, Israelis were the victims and she pretends it's the other way around. I ended that "friendship" immediately. I started to learn more about the conflict and became pro-Israel. I started to argue with others that were defending Palestinians and Hamas.
Another Muslim woman I've known for quite some time shared something in her status about how "Hitl*r was right".

I too, have a very close Muslim friend that I’ve known for almost 20 years. She’s not a “heavily” practicing Muslim. She celebrates Muslim holidays and such. But not long after this war started she told me on the phone one night, “ you know what my husband said? He said, maybe Hitler knew what he was doing”, and she seconded it. I was shocked by her statement and I was so mad and disgusted with her for 2 weeks. We don’t discuss the war. She mentions it briefly here and there. A historical Jesus or Yeshua is not proven. There may have been some wandering preacher who proclaimed the coming battle between the children of light and the children of darkness. You are so right! I came to the same conclusion: All those protests are not about of love to Palestinians. These "pro-palestinians do not know anything of history of region or about developing of conflict in last 150 years; they even don't want to know anything about it. I didn’t know the history in depth prior to the horrific events in October, but I’ve tried to educate myself since then. I cannot believe the scenes around the world in support of the Palestinian people and in turn Hamas.

After October 7 I expected worldwide sympathy as EVERY SINGLE NATION that has suffered terrorist attacks has received. Instead, I was shocked and disgusted at the explosion of hate and fury at ISRAEL before even a day had passed, and before Israel even responded to such an atrocity!In my own country of Australia, I was horrified and humiliated at the near riotous protests on the steps of our world famous OPERA HOUSE that was lit up in Israeli colours in solidarity at the attacks. Instead of those vermin being swept into the harbour with water cannon they were excused- and an ISRAELI supporter was arrested??!!

Just one comment…in 1947 with the Partition plan of then Palestine (area of the British Mandate in which both Jews and Arabs were living and were called Palestinians, the area was divided into a state for Jews (Israel - Jewish homeland) and Jordan for the Arabs. So the Arabs did indeed get a state. And we know what happened there.
