That's how I fixed mine. A LED light will eliminate you having bulbs burn out and then having to break your seal to change them. The deal is to clean the surface real good then PUSH ON LIGHT while hand screwing the light down. After installation I ran a thick bead of clear silicone around the entire light fixture and smoothed it out with a wet finger. Leak proof for the last year 1/2

Looks very very dim unfortunately, not sure that cargo light is going to be any use, but the black lense looks great!
I've used it at night a few times and it serves the purpose but your correct it isnt overly bright.
After you made the switch did it leak at all anymore. I have a lot of water under my rear passenger seat in my 2013 1500 quad cab. Hopefully this fixed your issue. Please let me know.
Unfortunately it did leak a few months later but I re -tightened the screws and it's been fine ever since. One suggestion I have is to use some blue loc-tite on the screws and then they won't loosen up and allow it to leak. Hope this helps.
@@ReviewingConsumer Gunna try that Loctite idea. Just bought a new 3rd Brake light and gunna weather strip it as i've seen in other vids. Can't believe we have to deal with this crap, but... oh well. Thanks for the reply.
Did you ever have to add the silicone?
Nope. I re-torqued the screws once but that's it. No leaks as of today when it rained.
Ok I was looking at my light I own a 2011 and a 2019 f150 I bought them both new and I noticed one leaking and I fixed it with silicone just cleaned gasket and put regular ge silicone on it but I got looking at that light it's long and only has two screws holding it then I realized if you run your truck in a car wash the top brush will loosen the lens in time because the light is even with the top of the cab so keep that in mind
Good info I've tightened this one once since I installed it and it's worked nicely. I did think of using some blue locktite if it gets loose again though.
Make some more content for you ram truck, I love to see upgrades.

It lights up the bed pretty well but it doesn't help much further than that.
