I typed everything said in the video below, well mostly everything. I did not write any details regarding PvP or PvE tips, spell combos, etc. To make it clear, these are tips for a pure pyromancer build at SL 100+. The categories below are, Rings, Spells, Stats, Weapons, and Tips. BUILD/STATS: - End goal is to have 40 in both intelligence and faith (the cap). Anything beyond will become negligible. Pyromancy scales with both intelligence and faith, and you will need it to use some spells. Do not worry about prioritizing one over the other, as the total of these 2 stats is what effects your damage. - 30 in Attunement is sufficient, it will allow 5 attunement slots without any rings. - Vigor and Endurance get your spare points for extra HP and stamina. Don't be a squishy mage, try to have a minimum of 35 Vigor if you plan on engaging in PvP. RINGS: 1. Great Swamp Ring: Increases pyromancy damage by 12% (Found in Crucifixion Woods, and provided at the start of the game for Pyromancer starting class) 2. Witch's Ring: Increases pyromancy damage by 25% - stacks with GSR for a 40% increase in damage by pyromancies (Found in Catacombs of Carthus) 3. Sage's Ring: Increases casting speed (Found at Road of Sacrifices) Note: Unnecessary for high Dexterity builds because casting speed caps at 50 Dex; Sage's Ring +2 gives 40 Dex, Standard +0 gives 30 virtual Dex. For example, if your build has 10 Dex, you will need the Sage's Ring +1 (40 Virtual Dex) to reach the casting speed cap. 4. Darkmoon Ring: Enables 2-4 extra attunement slots dependent on your rank (Given by Yorshka of the Blades of the Darkmoon Covenant after offering 10 Proof of a Concord Met - Located in Anor Londo) - The Saints Ring and the Deep Ring are weaker, but easier to obtain versions of the Darkmoon Ring - all of which are stackable. 5. Fire Clutch Ring & Dark Clutch Ring: Increases fire or dark damage, respectively, by 15% but compromises physical defense by 10% (Found in Undead Settlement) RECOMMENDED OFFENSIVE SPELLS: (fire and dark damage) 1. Great Chaos Fire Orb: Throws high damage fire orb which explodes, leaving lava on the ground which does additional damage. Note: Requires 2 attunement slots / Does 40% extra damage if enemy is attacking when hit. 3. Chaos Bed Vestiges: High damage and AOE damage fire projectile - alternative to GCFO. (Obtained by transposing the soul of the Old Demon King at Smoldering Lake) Note: Requires 2 attunement slots / Does 40% extra damage if enemy is attacking when hit. 2. Black Fire Orb: A dark damage projectile orb alternative to CBV or GCFO which only requires 1 attunement slot opposed to 2. 4. Great Deep Soul: a ranged dark damage sorcery with mild tracking capabilities. Deep Soul and Great Soul Dregs are similar alternatives. (Obtain through Aldrich Faithful covenant in Irithyll after providing 10 Human Dregs) Note: GDS is a Dark Sorcery Spell, not a Pyromancy. Dark Sorceries, like Pyromancies, scale with Int & Fth. 5. Black Flame: Short range high dark damage attack, does high stamina damage making it effective against shield-bearers (Bought from Karla after providing Grave Warden Pyromacy Tome from Catacombs of Carthus) Note: Great Combustion is the fire damage / early game alternative. Both spells can be used following an R1 - this is a true combo with several classes of weapons and is extremely effective for PvP. 6. Sacred Flame: Fire damage grab attack, must be performed at near point blank range. Very high damage but difficult to land. (Located at Smouldering Lake behind Knight Slayer Tsorig) 7. Fire Surge: Early spell, emits constant stream of fire which deals low damage. Helpful in PvP against players using Tears of Denial. (Bought from Cornyx of the Great Swamp who is found in the Undead Settlement) Other Spells to Consider: Boulder Heave, Black Serpent, Flame Fan, Profaned Flame, Rapport (for PvE only). MELEE WEAPONS: Note: All infusible melee weapons should be infused with either a chaos or dark gem, which provide scaling for int and fth. Farming these gems, especially dark gems, is difficult, so choose which weapons you want to infuse carefully. *Long Swords* such as the Astora Straight Sword and the Long Sword are good options due to their low Strength and Dex requirements. *Demon's Scar* is OP for Pyromancers for PVP in the later game. It weighs almost nothing, and is both a pyromancy flame and weapon in one. It is found in the Ringed City (DLC). Note: Actively equipping the Saint Tree Belvine will negate the need to wear the Sage's Ring. This is always true with the STB, however, it must be actively equipped, making it only a viable option with Demon's Scar, unless you don't mind playing without a weapon. *Onyx Blade* is the longest Greatsword in the game, and has inherent scaling with Int & Faith, with low Str/Dex requirements. Can be acquired in the Ashes of Ariandel DLC. TIPS: 1. Get to Smoldering Lake ASAP, to obtain end-game pyromancy spells such as Chaos Bed Vestiges. 2. In PvP, R1 to Black Flame combo is all you need to pwn most players. It is a true combo with most quick weapons including straight swords and curved swords (such as demon scar). Use dat. Thank you for mentioning that after the DLC and patches that Chaos gems and the Demon Scar are amazing tools with Pyro builds. I was wondering why PvPskills didn't use the hornet ring+chaos dagger on his build, but realized that the patches that dropped after the video was uploaded (can't remember what they did) may have increased Chaos infusion damage.
I never understood those types of "pyromancys" because pyromancy revolves around manipulating flames so how is throwing up boulders related to pyromancy? Or blowing poisonous mist or acid mist? none of those so called pyromancys have nothing to do with manipulating flames shouldn't those be sorcerys? that makes much more sense to me.
@@deionwilson6008 It's established that pyromancy and life are intertwined. From the way that all life springs from fire, to the way that demons were birthed from the chaos flame, to how the Izalith is overrun by the bed of chaos' ravenous roots. Laurentius even states that a pyromancer must be in tune with nature, and this is why the Great Swamp is home to pyromancy. Non-fire pyromancies are exaggerations or manipulations of life, such as rapport drawing living things to it, or warmth healing life, or acid surge spewing a cloud of stomach acid, or flash sweat accelerating the rate of sweating, or boulder heave spewing something akin to a large kidney stone.

A tip for farming pyromancers: rapport can be used on the ascended winged knights on the top of the Lothric castle on the left before the bridge to the twin princes. If you want to get some easy souls, rapport one guy, let them fight each other, backstab the survivor, rince repeat (you can get to around 30000 souls per guy if you have the right rings and equippment)
@@erenjager1155 it does work, though it's a bit broken. Some enemies aren't affected by is, and it's best if you use it when the enemy hasn't attacked you yet. If you cast it mid-attack the enemies might still be able to attack you without you being able to lock onto them. I suggest you use the sage's ring along with the lingering dragoncrest ring to make it last longer. It is reccomended you also use the hornet ring for backstabs.
My personal favorite weapon for pyro is the lothric knight straight sword, it doesn’t need that high of requirements but when infused with a chaos or dark gem it has an s scaling in both faith and intelligence making it really strong for pyro
They would if you were smart at mixing your spells up so the opponent doesn't know what you're going to cast, if he thinks you're gonna cast an unlocked chaos fireball and dodges backwards he might end up getting a chaos bed vestiges to the face, for example.
Still, the way it presents itself in DS3: Pyromancies - OK, just need smart positioning/some free-aiming Sorceries - hard to use, a lot of stat investment, but will pay off if you are patient Dark - *in monotonous tone*"Oh look, a dark spell. Oh no, what am I going to do?" *side-steps to the left and dodges all spells* Miracles - "Useless ahead; in short: use weapon"
Mhm. Let's hope so. And, to people who argue "But DmB, SlB, Sacred oath?!" well, it's been proven that self-buffs do jack shit in pvp (they apparently give much lesser numbers against players than against mobs) and weapon buffs... well, if an entire casting family is literally useful only for buffs, then I think something is very, very wrong with this school.
+Rigel_6 i made a good faith build. 60 faith lightening blade partisan. spells are sunlight spear and lightening stake. throw a spear at the start (looks the same as stake) dont they roll towards you and try to punish when u cast stake. also miracles do double damage when you counter so u can use saint talisman weapon art to hyper armor through hits and deal 1.2k sunlight spear to the face or 900 stake
"Variety is key to success with a pyromancy build" "Predicting your opponent's movements and trading are the key to using an ultra great sword" Combining these two advices, I've created my fire berserker build, a bit too fragile, but great at quickly killing an opponent, just a glass cannon really, but really fun
@@onyourleft9273 no, not really, the pyromancy weapon buff does give you that massive damage to feel like Guts, but a bit too fragile to feel like the black swordman himself, I guess I spent too much on attunement and not enough on vigor if I still remember it properly, I suggest you pick the profaned sword and just level up to it's requirements s you still have enough points for vigor, I myself picked the "greatsword" (since I am a sucker for that dragonslayer look)
Every time I play any dark souls game I’m always so tempted to play as a pyromancer, despite my class, because they are strong and most of the, don’t require either intelligence or faith ( only on the third game to make them stronger ) but still a good long range “ weapon “
I recommend running: Spell 1. Chaos Bed Vestiges, Great Chaos Fire Orb, or Black Fire Orb Spell 2. Sacred Flame or Black Flame Spell 3. Fire Surge or Black Fire Serpent
Skillz, I just want to sincerely thank you for inspiring me to get into PVP with this build. I honestly never had that much fun with it before but this build has made me favor it over PVE for once and I've been dueling and invading all day. My win-rate is still pretty low (~40%), but I feel like I'm getting better and more importantly, I'm having so much fun doing it!
I also love using Rapport to troll my opponents xD gotta love when clerics makes hollows hostile to invaders but not expect me to use rapport on one of them

You could say that Izalith was a "God", seeing as she discovered the soul of life. Also, some say she didn't try to recreate the first flame for any selfish reasons, she merely tried to replace it or at the very least keep it going a little longer Also, my cat says hello(^_^)
There aren’t technically any Gods in Dark souls. The “Gods” in dark souls are just a dace of powerful beings that where lucky enough to find the souls within the flame. If they were truly gods, the chosen undead couldn’t just kill them like that.

Which is what makes it NOT the best starting class if you wanna go Pyro. Pyro has 7 Luck instead of Deprived's 10. Those 3 points just go to waste. For min-maxing, starting with Pyro (for Pyro) is the best by far
HighEvolutionary175 yes but deprived starts at level 1 so if you want to sl cap at 150 then you get 12 or so extra points since all other classes start at higher level

Sarcasm? Unfortunately, Attunement made more sense mechanic wise but like a lot of throwbacks to Dark Souls 1, DS3 takes a couple steps back for nostalgia sake alone or even out of spite on DS2 instead of refining on what has already been improved.
+Aether Veilborne no it's, not sarcasm sadly 😞, so to answer my sort of rhetorical question it does affect casting speed. I've played both 1&2 of dark souls but never actually gone into any type of magic build besides a hybrid pyromancer in dark souls 1 and yet even then I never knew of this mechanic.
Has645 Yeah, Dexterity is required in DS1/3 for casting speed. If you level your Dexterity to 15 and equip the Sage Ring +2, that's pretty much the fastest cast speed your gonna get. Though from a lore perspective, having Dexterity as the speed modifier for casting spells is a very skin deep explanation for how quick one could cast a spell. Though, while it could be argued that Dexterity would be required for the quicker body movements but that alone would not account for how quickly one can intone a spell into existence. Magic is suppose to be something that requires great study and dedication to master, let alone to be able to use on the battlefield. To be able to intone a spell, a Spellcaster is required to have a great understanding of what they are trying to conjure, let alone Attuning their body as a focus for said spell. So from a lore perspective, a Spellcaster's speed for casting spells is suppose to be how quickly they can Attune and draw the energies from their body to release the desired spell. This is why Gish-type characters (Melee/Spell users, aka "Spellswords") are the Jack-of-All-Trades in RPG games, because instead of focusing purely on either Martial or Magical skills, they spread their focus on both, so when compared to their fellow Martial or Spellcaster compatriots they are lacking but make up for it in versatility. So all in all, having Attunement as the Spell Casting Speed modifier made more sense lore wise, but from a gameplay perspective, it also led to less stat bleeding. By having Dexterity as the speed modifier, it pretty much encourages stat bleeding between the Dex/Int/Fth groups, which undermines the Dex groups as a whole.
+Aether Veilborne yh I agree with that, but I guess someone could say that attunment and faith/int is used to learn and acquire more advanced spells and maybe even to be able to use equipment to speed up spells (maybe a special chime or catalyst) they could argue its to gain more power then speed and the speed is with your movement which would be dexterity.

i wouldnt say miracles are bad, however it takes a VERY LONG TIME to make them usefull(and for lightning pve, only the sunlight spear and of course lightning blade are good).
+Marcos Danilo pve is only difficult against certain enemies like dragon slayer armour and nameless King however some bosses and enemies are super weak to it but to complete the game with a faith build is really hard because you have to fight dragon slayer armour
+Has645 but nameless king is weak to lightning. Of course one would only know by researching because it would be reasonable to assume hes resistant because well, he uses lightning. But yeah for dragonslayer armor use emit force. Shit is challenging but rewarding once you realize you killed dragon armor only with a bad miracle lol
What about recent patches? I tried farming silver knights for an hour with full item discovery gear as well as the Darkmoon covenant on and didn't get a single Concord from farming, nor was I summoned.
+ttlpwn34 I don't know about farming but for me on ps4 the first 15 concords were relatively quick to get when I was playing with my new character I got summoned quite a bit
@@torbyhormthegiant6748 Dancer Twinswords have D scaling across the board and require 12 strength and 20 dexterity to use. With that level of investment, you might as well go Chaos/Dark Great Corvian Scythe for better Intelligence/faith scaling.
Unfortunately that AR is split 3 ways between physical damage, magic damage on the right sword, and fire damage on the left sword, and the AR displays the total of all 3 types, so it's really about 2/3 of the AR on each hand, and then _that_ has to be passed through enemy defences. Also, if I'm understanding the way damage types scale off've relevant stats, because it's Physical/ Magic/ Fire for some reason, unlike the Dancer's Physical/ Fire/ Dark, the right hand blade (being Physical/ Magic) only scales with Str/ Dex/ Int, with the left (Physical/ Fire) scaling Str/ Dex/ Int/ Fth. So the entirety of your faith stat doesn't actually affect the right hand sword, which is also what's used for backstabs and ripostes.
Pyromancy glove?.. Most of the spells he used were Great Chaos Fireball, Chaos Bed Vestiges, Black Flame... you would need 5 attunement slots .. other spells could be great Chaos Fireball, fire surge, fire whip... if you want to save on a ring slot for Sage ring you can equip a saint tree bellvine in the off hand slot for its ability to increase spell cast time or white branch ... black Serpent .. Strange he mentions Rapport since the animation actually needs to finish and land on the enemy for it to actually work... And it only lasts for 30 seconds so you have 3 seconds to cast on an enemy who isn't wailing on you with its weapon and... you have about 8 seconds before the invader finds you and you don't find rapport until you find the Quelana Pyromancy and rescued Karla from Irithyll Dungeon... So really it's mostly a cosplay late game spell and will just take up a spell slot... but it could be useless for stopping an enemy from attacking you..

Pyromancy is probably the most fun play style I've yet to try out in Dark Souls: III. I can't get enough of it. I enjoyed your perspective on build and spells as well as your commentary. Also glad to see someone else appreciates Boulder Heaves niche! I recently added Profaned Flame to my spell rotation. I had heard it was garbage and it's true. If... you used it locked on. I've been using it to great effect in duels on my pure pyromancy build(no melee weapons). It also has major stagger. I've used as an opener and saved it in my back pocket to catch them later in a duel after they've been conditioned to my black serpent/Black flame true combo or my black serpent/CBV combo. Black serpent's new tracking is beautiful. Fire Surge is so good at allowing you to dictate spacing and the pace of the fight, as well as acting as a constant nuisance ending with them becoming hyper aggressive because they've gone on tilt after being bathed in flames. going the Black Fireball as a CBV substitute for low level pyromancy could be interesting. idk, CBV is just so good.
It's better to use the Dark Hand instead of Sacred flame if you use a pyro build with 40/40 int/fth. Trust me, very few people know how dangerous that can be on this build.
I know this seems like a stupid question because you pretty much addressed it at the beginning, but would 60 int/20 faith work, since I'm trying to use the MLGS alongside pyromancies, but on reddit, someone told me that they would be weaker with only 20 faith. Any thoughts?
I forgot to say that my made up rule only works when u consider 40 the max/ceiling stat so no 60 20 is not good as 40 40 I would go 55 25 with stat rings or maybe 50 30.
Weapons are a Dark Longsword and Dark Dagger/Izalith Staff in right hand, Pyromancy Flame and Kite Shield in left hand. The armor looks like sorcerer hood, jailer robes, undead legion gauntlets and maybe sorcerer trousers (I couldn’t really tell). Old comment but hope it helps
I'm making a similar build. So I suggest you to meet the stat requirement for the weapon. Then infuse it with chaos or dark. Then put the rest of your levels into faith, attunement, intelligence and vigor. This with the rings in the video, will make this a pretty viable build.
Lars Heijman Faith and intelligent are equal in importance. Vigor is a requirement for most people, but, if you're good at dodging and all that, then you don't need much vigor.

That IS the izalith staff, but I'm not 100% sure what he's done to it. It looks like he bugged it somehow to give it the carthus flame arc buff effect? There's no item in game that looks exactly like that.

+Joseph Howard it cant cast pyromancy. I've tried. Izalith's staff is only good with hexes. This is what the wiki says "Curiously enough, there are no fire spells to be used with this staff, not even the firestorm pyromancies."

7. Fire Surge: Early spell, emits constant stream of fire which deals low damage. Helpful in PvP against players using Tears of Denial. (Bought from Cornyx of the Great Swamp who is found in the Undead Settlement)
Other Spells to Consider: Boulder Heave, Black Serpent, Flame Fan, Profaned Flame, Rapport (for PvE only).
MELEE WEAPONS:
Note: All infusible melee weapons should be infused with either a chaos or dark gem, which provide scaling for int and fth. Farming these gems, especially dark gems, is difficult, so choose which weapons you want to infuse carefully.
*Long Swords* such as the Astora Straight Sword and the Long Sword are good options due to their low Strength and Dex requirements.
*Demon's Scar* is OP for Pyromancers for PVP in the later game. It weighs almost nothing, and is both a pyromancy flame and weapon in one. It is found in the Ringed City (DLC).
Note: Actively equipping the Saint Tree Belvine will negate the need to wear the Sage's Ring. This is always true with the STB, however, it must be actively equipped, making it only a viable option with Demon's Scar, unless you don't mind playing without a weapon.
*Onyx Blade* is the longest Greatsword in the game, and has inherent scaling with Int & Faith, with low Str/Dex requirements. Can be acquired in the Ashes of Ariandel DLC.
TIPS:
1. Get to Smoldering Lake ASAP, to obtain end-game pyromancy spells such as Chaos Bed Vestiges.
2. In PvP, R1 to Black Flame combo is all you need to pwn most players. It is a true combo with most quick weapons including straight swords and curved swords (such as demon scar). Use dat.

Thank you for mentioning that after the DLC and patches that Chaos gems and the Demon Scar are amazing tools with Pyro builds. I was wondering why PvPskills didn't use the hornet ring+chaos dagger on his build, but realized that the patches that dropped after the video was uploaded (can't remember what they did) may have increased Chaos infusion damage.

From the way that all life springs from fire, to the way that demons were birthed from the chaos flame, to how the Izalith is overrun by the bed of chaos' ravenous roots. Laurentius even states that a pyromancer must be in tune with nature, and this is why the Great Swamp is home to pyromancy. Non-fire pyromancies are exaggerations or manipulations of life, such as rapport drawing living things to it, or warmth healing life, or acid surge spewing a cloud of stomach acid, or flash sweat accelerating the rate of sweating, or boulder heave spewing something akin to a large kidney stone.

A tip for farming pyromancers: rapport can be used on the ascended winged knights on the top of the Lothric castle on the left before the bridge to the twin princes. If you want to get some easy souls, rapport one guy, let them fight each other, backstab the survivor, rince repeat (you can get to around 30000 souls per guy if you have the right rings and equippment)

@@erenjager1155 it does work, though it's a bit broken. Some enemies aren't affected by is, and it's best if you use it when the enemy hasn't attacked you yet. If you cast it mid-attack the enemies might still be able to attack you without you being able to lock onto them. I suggest you use the sage's ring along with the lingering dragoncrest ring to make it last longer. It is reccomended you also use the hornet ring for backstabs.

My personal favorite weapon for pyro is the lothric knight straight sword, it doesn’t need that high of requirements but when infused with a chaos or dark gem it has an s scaling in both faith and intelligence making it really strong for pyro

And, to people who argue "But DmB, SlB, Sacred oath?!" well, it's been proven that self-buffs do jack shit in pvp (they apparently give much lesser numbers against players than against mobs) and weapon buffs... well, if an entire casting family is literally useful only for buffs, then I think something is very, very wrong with this school.
+Rigel_6 i made a good faith build. 60 faith lightening blade partisan. spells are sunlight spear and lightening stake. throw a spear at the start (looks the same as stake) dont they roll towards you and try to punish when u cast stake. also miracles do double damage when you counter so u can use saint talisman weapon art to hyper armor through hits and deal 1.2k sunlight spear to the face or 900 stake

@@onyourleft9273 no, not really, the pyromancy weapon buff does give you that massive damage to feel like Guts, but a bit too fragile to feel like the black swordman himself, I guess I spent too much on attunement and not enough on vigor if I still remember it properly, I suggest you pick the profaned sword and just level up to it's requirements s you still have enough points for vigor, I myself picked the "greatsword" (since I am a sucker for that dragonslayer look)

Skillz, I just want to sincerely thank you for inspiring me to get into PVP with this build. I honestly never had that much fun with it before but this build has made me favor it over PVE for once and I've been dueling and invading all day. There aren’t technically any Gods in Dark souls. The “Gods” in dark souls are just a dace of powerful beings that where lucky enough to find the souls within the flame. If they were truly gods, the chosen undead couldn’t just kill them like that.

Which is what makes it NOT the best starting class if you wanna go Pyro. Pyro has 7 Luck instead of Deprived's 10. Those 3 points just go to waste. For min-maxing, starting with Pyro (for Pyro) is the best by far

Sarcasm? Unfortunately, Attunement made more sense mechanic wise but like a lot of throwbacks to Dark Souls 1, DS3 takes a couple steps back for nostalgia sake alone or even out of spite on DS2 instead of refining on what has already been improved.
+Aether Veilborne no it's, not sarcasm sadly 😞, so to answer my sort of rhetorical question it does affect casting speed. I've played both 1&2 of dark souls but never actually gone into any type of magic build besides a hybrid pyromancer in dark souls 1 and yet even then I never knew of this mechanic.

Yeah, Dexterity is required in DS1/3 for casting speed. If you level your Dexterity to 15 and equip the Sage Ring +2, that's pretty much the fastest cast speed your gonna get.
Though from a lore perspective, having Dexterity as the speed modifier for casting spells is a very skin deep explanation for how quick one could cast a spell. Though, while it could be argued that Dexterity would be required for the quicker body movements but that alone would not account for how quickly one can intone a spell into existence.
Magic is suppose to be something that requires great study and dedication to master, let alone to be able to use on the battlefield. To be able to intone a spell, a Spellcaster is required to have a great understanding of what they are trying to conjure, let alone Attuning their body as a focus for said spell. So from a lore perspective, a Spellcaster's speed for casting spells is suppose to be how quickly they can Attune and draw the energies from their body to release the desired spell.
This is why Gish-type characters (Melee/Spell users, aka "Spellswords") are the Jack-of-All-Trades in RPG games, because instead of focusing purely on either Martial or Magical skills, they spread their focus on both, so when compared to their fellow Martial or Spellcaster compatriots they are lacking but make up for it in versatility.
So all in all, having Attunement as the Spell Casting Speed modifier made more sense lore wise, but from a gameplay perspective, it also led to less stat bleeding. By having Dexterity as the speed modifier, it pretty much encourages stat bleeding between the Dex/Int/Fth groups, which undermines the Dex groups as a whole.
+Aether Veilborne yh I agree with that, but I guess someone could say that attunment and faith/int is used to learn and acquire more advanced spells and maybe even to be able to use equipment to speed up spells (maybe a special chime or catalyst) they could argue its to gain more power then speed and the speed is with your movement which would be dexterity.

i wouldnt say miracles are bad, however it takes a VERY LONG TIME to make them usefull(and for lightning pve, only the sunlight spear and of course lightning blade are good).
+Marcos Danilo pve is only difficult against certain enemies like dragon slayer armour and nameless King however some bosses and enemies are super weak to it but to complete the game with a faith build is really hard because you have to fight dragon slayer armour

Dancer Twinswords have D scaling across the board and require 12 strength and 20 dexterity to use. With that level of investment, you might as well go Chaos/Dark Great Corvian Scythe for better Intelligence/faith scaling.
David Hong I use Wolnirs holy sword because it scales really well with faith and it’s weapon art does crazy damage
Most of that is split damage so you'll usually be doing 200 per hit.
Unfortunately that AR is split 3 ways between physical damage, magic damage on the right sword, and fire damage on the left sword, and the AR displays the total of all 3 types, so it's really about 2/3 of the AR on each hand, and then _that_ has to be passed through enemy defences.
Also, if I'm understanding the way damage types scale off've relevant stats, because it's Physical/ Magic/ Fire for some reason, unlike the Dancer's Physical/ Fire/ Dark, the right hand blade (being Physical/ Magic) only scales with Str/ Dex/ Int, with the left (Physical/ Fire) scaling Str/ Dex/ Int/ Fth. So the entirety of your faith stat doesn't actually affect the right hand sword, which is also what's used for backstabs and ripostes.

Just a quick question:
What was your equipment/weapons for the build?
Pyromancy glove?.. Most of the spells he used were Great Chaos Fireball, Chaos Bed Vestiges, Black Flame... you would need 5 attunement slots .. other spells could be great Chaos Fireball, fire surge, fire whip... if you want to save on a ring slot for Sage ring you can equip a saint tree bellvine in the off hand slot for its ability to increase spell cast time or white branch ... black Serpent .. Strange he mentions Rapport since the animation actually needs to finish and land on the enemy for it to actually work... And it only lasts for 30 seconds so you have 3 seconds to cast on an enemy who isn't wailing on you with its weapon and... you have about 8 seconds before the invader finds you and you don't find rapport until you find the Quelana Pyromancy and rescued Karla from Irithyll Dungeon... So really it's mostly a cosplay late game spell and will just take up a spell slot... but it could be useless for stopping an enemy from attacking you..

Pyromancy is probably the most fun play style I've yet to try out in Dark Souls: III. I can't get enough of it. I enjoyed your perspective on build and spells as well as your commentary. Also glad to see someone else appreciates Boulder Heaves niche! I recently added Profaned Flame to my spell rotation. I had heard it was garbage and it's true. If... you used it locked on. I've been using it to great effect in duels on my pure pyromancy build(no melee weapons). It also has major stagger. I've used as an opener and saved it in my back pocket to catch them later in a duel after they've been conditioned to my black serpent/Black flame true combo or my black serpent/CBV combo. Black serpent's new tracking is beautiful. Fire Surge is so good at allowing you to dictate spacing and the pace of the fight, as well as acting as a constant nuisance ending with them becoming hyper aggressive because they've gone on tilt after being bathed in flames.
going the Black Fireball as a CBV substitute for low level pyromancy could be interesting. idk, CBV is just so good.

It's better to use the Dark Hand instead of Sacred flame if you use a pyro build with 40/40 int/fth. Trust me, very few people know how dangerous that can be on this build.

I know this seems like a stupid question because you pretty much addressed it at the beginning, but would 60 int/20 faith work, since I'm trying to use the MLGS alongside pyromancies, but on reddit, someone told me that they would be weaker with only 20 faith. Any thoughts?
I forgot to say that my made up rule only works when u consider 40 the max/ceiling stat so no 60 20 is not good as 40 40 I would go 55 25 with stat rings or maybe 50 30.

What is the armor and weapons he uses in the status screen?
Weapons are a Dark Longsword and Dark Dagger/Izalith Staff in right hand, Pyromancy Flame and Kite Shield in left hand.
The armor looks like sorcerer hood, jailer robes, undead legion gauntlets and maybe sorcerer trousers (I couldn’t really tell).

I'm making a similar build. So I suggest you to meet the stat requirement for the weapon. Then infuse it with chaos or dark. Then put the rest of your levels into faith, attunement, intelligence and vigor. This with the rings in the video, will make this a pretty viable build.

Faith and intelligent are equal in importance. Vigor is a requirement for most people, but, if you're good at dodging and all that, then you don't need much vigor.

That IS the izalith staff, but I'm not 100% sure what he's done to it. It looks like he bugged it somehow to give it the carthus flame arc buff effect? There's no item in game that looks exactly like that.

I use the uchigatana at soul level 120 and it works with a chaos infuse or just use the witches lock

Ignore the dumba$$ right above me, the Izalith staff does both, it's not modded. Do you know where to find it?
+Joseph Howard it cant cast pyromancy. I've tried. Izalith's staff is only good with hexes.
This is what the wiki says "Curiously enough, there are no fire spells to be used with this staff, not even the firestorm pyromancies."
For some reason I can't reply to you, but my bad, I must be misremembering what it was I used. I thought I tried it too and it worked. Getting old is awful lol
