Love me a shop dog, reminds me of my lab. Completely unbothered by the machines and tools and work going on. Just happy to be there hanging with the guys and "supervising" often completely in the way. Sure is cute doin it though.

Just a thought, could the down force from the blow off's negate the pressure from the exhaust? There's a video of the Murder Nova getting wrecked from a jacked up bulls horn. Could be conspiracy? It makes sense when you combine it with the pressure that is being put down, and your explanation of Top Fuel cars. Keep up the great work. You all produce amazing work, and content. Thank you very much.

Whatever's goin' in there, it's heavy AF.
Good on ya for taking such good care of Splinter; that's why you the rep you do.
It's the old fashioned kind of scruples I grew up w/ & saw in most everyone. You borrow a rig, you take it back w/ a full tank; you damage something while it's borrowed, you buy a better one or fix it, making it better than it was.
Somehow, that's been lost. Last thing I loaned has never come back; don't know if it killed the borrower, or he killed it.
As someone once told me, it's a cheap price paid to find out how good a friend someone is.
It took a while, but I finally learned how to say no about loaning tools & equipment. If I want to help some, I just come do it for them; found it's cheaper in the long run.

When I ran an oilfield machine shop back in the day I brought in a Cincinnati Hypro VTL with a 144" chuck we saw cut the floor and poured many feet of concrete for it to sit on as well. I also brought in a 20" hollow spindle lathe it took up a 40' trailer at one time back before CNC we had the biggest oilfield machines in Calif. at 60 RPMs the VTL would make the shop vibrate.

Much respect to you. For fixing the Splinter. That shows what a good guy you really are.
The look on your face as you got out of the car from the burnout ..... Priceless. Like what in the heck was I thinking.

I guess it's different up North? Down here in the Houston area (extreme humidity), you have to put a vapor barrier down before you pour concrete or the slab will sweat and be soaking wet. And if air conditioned, the a/c has to work extra, extra hard to pull the moisture out of the air.
    Anyway, I'm guessing a 5 axis or perhaps a dual spindle 🤘

Awesome video Steve. I appreciate how you include the fans on the daily things that go on in the custom performance engine world. I think it’s very interesting. Most of us including you and your son express ourselves through the mechanics of a machine whatever it is so it’s cool that even though the majority of us can never own a SMX we can all still relate to each other pretty cool. I may have mentioned this but if u ever need any parts for your wagons body for race car or anything for the street wagon I have a few complete cars in perfect shape low miles. I use them for my wagon. Whatever you need just let me know and I’ll send it to you. If it’s too big or heavy I’ll drive it there. Thanks.
