Once at work a co worker and I were joking around. We did it all the time. This time a little water got on his laptop, the laptop was fine but he was red hot pissed at me. It genuinely was an accident and I felt so bad. He called me a bitch and threw something at me and never talked to me again. I truly felt bad and wanted to apologize but he wasn’t having it. And then I thought, we both were joking around, it was an accident, nothing was broken and this is his response?! I let that shit go and only dealt with him as needed. Sometimes ppl just want to be mad.
Lol nice. I did someone similar where I pretended I know him and waved all friendly. He turned away quickly and would not make eye contact. Probably thought we were actually friends. 🤣
A worker at my job is "secretly" mad at me. And I don't even know what I did. We work at this catering company in our university, and I'm a student supervisor. For a while, things were fine. If I said "How are you doing?" he'd answer and ask back how I am. Not anymore. He would say "fine" or "all right" in a negative tone of voice. He doesn't even say hi to me. When I greet him, he just says "John" in an unfriendly tone of voice. I have no idea what could've caused this. I'd ask him, but you know, it might seem shallow for me to not get it and require an explanation. Besides, it's a little awkward acknowledging the tension from someone. You don't ask a person you know, "Why don't you like me?" This is somewhat the same thing.
I like your principal but you could be feeding a psychological need for the need to be right. A conversation with that person to understand the point before giving up your power so easily, would be more productive

Oh, you didn't report him? Throwing something is assauIt, which is even worse than verbally insuIting you
I love this information! I’m learning to stop take a deep breath and take accountability for my actions.
