More than anything, he succeeded because he had faith. You have to change your mindset if you want to succeed in a business or be self employed. You have to be ready to wake up earlier, go to sleep later and give your all to your business even though the first few years will not be so great financially. Keep the faith that in the long run it will work out. Keep your day job and work on your business on the side until you feel confident enough to quit your job.

I just accepted a job this week (a month later) doing my dream job of becoming an event specialist with a large hotel chain! I couldn't be more excited to start a job that won't be behind a desk every day. I am grateful for the time spent doing marketing because it allowed me and my husband to save up for our house we built, but now I can breathe and take a step back and still pay the bills. Cheers to those realize that the corporate desk jobs aren't for everyone and not the only way to survive and BE HAPPY.

Happy?! Being an entrepreneur is no easy task: it's 16 hours workdays, it's creating something new, it's being fully responsible for every mistake. It's not for everyone, if anything it's for very few, it sounds to me you've just indoctrinated them to repeat what you'd said.
Careful with what you project on kids: doctors and engineers are safe careers, the unsafe ones should be chosen freely by people who understand the risks involved. Entrepreneurs were seen as losers until a decade ago, now they're all the rage, but it's just another fad.
Give them the tools, not the answers.

This video inspired me to create a video about the great resignation. It took me about 6 months to create this on top of my full-time job, setting aside at least 4x of 1 hr workout per week, cooking healthy foods that take hours to prepare, rejecting so many night outs just to spend more time pursuing my passion while having so many people discourage me from creating meaningful videos online like this channel.
As you can tell, personal development isn’t a joke because there are so many sacrifices to be made, which are often uncomfortable but knowing that there are also so many like-minded individuals who have passion for becoming a better version of themselves each day and who are willing to show support makes me more motivated to keep pursuing my passion for creativity and intense desire to provide as much value as I could.
When I was a kid, all I wanted was to have a career that pays well so I can buy whatever I want but now that I’m grown up and went through tons of setbacks from losing tons of people in my life, getting lost in the world with full of life traps, being ridiculed for pursuing my dreams, having so many people tell me that I’m merely wasting my time creating a meaningful content online, and so on, I can say that long-lasting happiness can’t be bought or earned because it comes from within us

  • @np-gi6vz

I stayed too long in a job I didn’t like and then when I moved to a job I thought would be better I assumed that maybe the reason I didn’t quit the first job was because God wanted me to find this second job in tech (I wouldn’t have found it if I had left the company). Flash forward a few unexpected events later….this job is actually worse considering the anxiety and stress I’m going through 😂😂 I think maybe God sent me another rough job to really push me into quitting corporate all together. Because if this one really was better then I would have become complacent. I don’t have the worst job in the world and many would want what I have . But something isn’t sitting right with me and I think I ought to honor that.

The premise of this based a totally flawed assumption. There are millions who love what they do but can’t keep doing (at least not as a career) because it doesn’t pay them enough to survive. There are even more people who can’t just quit and walk out because they need to eat. Agree that getting experience of something new is a good place to start.

I resigned from my job as a employment salesman (yes selling people to employment is a thing in my country). These people are the most marginalised members of society, who govt desperately wants them off social security pay. The workload is ridiculous, the hours are crazy, there was no lunch breaks and the KPI are unrealistic. Coercive boss, keeps piling work on us and if we are tired called us lazy. Every employee suffered work burnout and a co worker got into serious car accident due to work fatigue. They wanted us to sign up as many people as possible into a job plan contract as soon as possible. From then on they are trapped, forced to do fortnightly meetings and then get them into work soon even if they are ill, disabled, ex felons with serious criminal records, severe literacy issue and/or combination of all. The boss doubled KPI on short notice, so the pressures on to get them working soon.
Got to the point boss wanted employees to engage in unethical practices. I was forced to sign up a guy who was in hospital to agree to a job plan over the phone. Another was a young lady just who got diagnosed with terminal illness and another a 68 years old lady with severe osteoarthritis. Also to collect character data on them, then lie to them government wants them to do it to keep their pay. I couldn’t live like this, even if it’s a high paying job, so I quit. Also while resigning got told off for failing to collect data, but told them where to go and refused the unethical practice.
I am now going after my dream job: to help the less fortunate, travel the world and run my own community organisation.
