They're quite interesting within the tier actually! Due to them disappearing upon swapping, and being able to cover over each other, it makes interesting interactions in attempting to slow pivot in your Weather mons to set up your own weather and take out your opponent's. The current second best abuser for Primordial Sea is typically Zapdos, who loves it's access to 100% accurate Thunder+Hurricane+Weather ball, thank you for watching :)
The catch is that they’re basically just a combination of Levitate and a weather effect. Still pretty good for wallbreaking, but every Physical mon also has a free Life Orb with Tough Claws, and also naturally counters itself. It also doesn’t automatically make the rest of your team better the same way normal weather does. For a box legendary signature ability, it’s surprisingly balanced. And on the flipside Triage is banned. The signature ability of Comfey doesn’t just give every drain move in the game priority, it gives *+3 priority.* That is automatically faster than Extremespeed, on a move with actual utility. I am impressed it took the whole lifespan of Gen 9 to ban it

How does Freeze Dry match up to Walking Wake? It's a bit niche, but it's a single move and deals 4x damage to Walking Wake and plenty of other Pokemon that are normally hard to hit. Is it just too hard to find a good user of it, or do all the users end up being too weak or slow to get a good hit in on Walking Wake?
The best Freeze-Dry users(Kyurem and Iron Bundle) are both banned, and the existing ones can’t switch into Draco Meteor or Weather Ball safely. Additionally, Walking Wake’s usually gonna be faster, so it’s not worried too bad

I could try Alolan Ninetails next, since it has fairy type for immunity to Draco Meteor, but it's stats are really hard to justify when it's famous ability can be used by litterally any one else.
Alolan Ninetales best niche would probably be as a Water absorb user to full block Walking Wake (not that it matters now that it's banned of course). This style of set was actually tossed around a bit with Scream Tail when players were originally attempting to find counters to Wake, nowadays though Pixilate sets are far more common, even when Wake wasn't banned
Big Ghold bargains and bribes the Smogon council once again, a travesty But really, it was unbanned shortly after DLC 1's drop, which released a few powerful threats that could beat it, and the Metagame started shifting more in a direction that left it far less powerful, especially with Toxic Debris gone :)
I used to love AAA but man they really are just drying the tier with so many restrictions. It would have been cool to explore changing abilities with a changed type too (tera) since we won't be able to do that any more from next gen, but like most OMs they took that away from us without even considering other options. And now they are going as far as banning water mon going for water mon ability, even tho WW isn't even using his unique trait in Hydro Steam. I was wondering what crazy synergy people found with Hydro Steam and some cool ability, but turns out what made him "broken" is something so basic and uninspired, basically a Kingdra with some extra stats. Of course, can't blame the messenger, thank you for the great information as always!
Typically now Primordial Sea sets are best as they give it a Weather Boost + Work alongside Weather Ball so it has a move that will still deal chunk damage to incoming Desolate Land Users. The other set, a more rare set which is why I didn't cover it in this video, is pure damage with Dragons Maw + Specs, which attempts to boost Wakes Draco Meteors insanely high with those two things, and typically has a Drizzle user for passive Rain boosting. The core reason for not using Adaptability is simply that there are better users for it, and both Dragons Maw + Prim Sea give the Weather Ball benefit no matter what, while Adaptability prefers both a drizzle set up, and a stronger water move
Weather ball becoming fire in desolate land cannot possibly be stronger than its signature stab move getting boosted by the sun can it?? weather ball: 150 bp fire type in sun 225 bp in rain Hydro Steam: 180 bp water in sun 180 bp water in rain i guess because weather ball is stronger in rain? but you just delete the fire type desolate sun users except exactly ogrepon-h.
it already ran shield of ruin back in gen 8, except the only pokemon it affected was itself. so thats why it was totally useless that gen. frankly i couldnt be happier its experimenting with less self-harming mechanics. you loce to see that kind of personal growth.

So due to the fact Scarlet and Violet is fairly easy to hack, this is actually an answered question which is also why Walking Wake uses Weather Ball, as Desolate Land does infact cause Hydro Steam to evaporate :) Most interesting case ability synergies we'd never get to see typically are tested inside of Scarlet and Violet through hacking to ensure it works the same way as AAA, though if it could use Hydro Steam in Desolate Land it'd almost certainly be insta banned lol

Yeah it's an odd thing, similar to this, Balanced Hackmons allows Megas, as for whatever reason, they are still in the games code lmao, but only the stats? If you hack it in game I believe you get that Mega Evolutions stats but since the model doesn't exist, it just uses the placeholder Pokemon which is, a Pikachu. Pretty sure Freezai made a video about this actually if you'd like to check it out :)

Good video, just one small pet peeve of mine I noticed 0:27 You describe it as a "Manaphy, Corviknight" pair, but then say "Fluffy and Regenerator respectively" (referring to Fluffy Corviknight and Regenerator Manaphy). "Respectively" means in the same order as the previous list, so you should've swapped the order in one of those two lists
I feel like any decently bulky fairy type with Water Absorb would just hard wall it, so you likely wouldn’t need more than one check aside from that mon
I could argue that it actually is standing for the onomatopoeia of a scream produced by regular players when they see the siliness that is giving any ability to any mon and that everybody is pronouncing the tier’s name incorrectly because it’s embarrassing to scream everytime you want to talk about the tier, But I’d be wrong. Would be funny if it were the case though.
I don't think it's broken. First having a water resist/immunity on your team is hardly a limitation, there are plenty of water type attacks flying around to warrant this, e.g. zapdos, ogerpon, barrascuda, prim, and flip turn as a move in general. Secondly it's too slow. If it runs specs it gets outran by offensive checks, if it's scarf it gets walled by spdf walls. And it's also neutral to the ice and flying Espeed, and takes full hazard damage, so it can be chipped quite easily.
This is also my personal opinion on it, good, not too good to be banned, but I understand where people were coming from with wanting it banned. I think unrestricting Ice Scales first to test would've been better then aiming for an immediate ban, but I also understand the fear in unbanning Ice Scales
Yeah I was kinda mixed between mentioning the two, but I feel like Bulletproof stood out more as Heatran was already mentioned in the video as a Water Absorb user and I didn't want new viewers to think you could run multiple Water absorb mons

Due to the mechanics of Desolate Sun it actually deletes Hydro Steam instead of boosting it, even if you test via hacking in game
