This is just a suggestion. After I got my trolly 106 I thoroughly washed it and let it dry well. Then I put 3 coats of McGwires car wax on it and it has kept it from getting muddy and dirty. I will do this probably once every year I take it out of the water for winter storage.
Great review Josh.👍 I own the AP 136 and it's AWESOME. I've had it for a little over a year now. Like you mentioned, it is heavy! I was hauling it in the back of my truck using the Boonedox bed extender but still was a hassle trying to load it back on to my truck from the boat ramp. So I bought a trailer for it and makes life SO much easier! Love this kayak! 👍
I have an AP120. LOVE IT. It would be difficult to go back to a paddle and pedal kayak. It is a walleye fishing machine on the Missouri River reservoir system. Pulls lead core wonderfully. Yes, it is heavy and for an old guy like me it is getting a little difficult to lug in and out of the truck bed which is why I have a trailer on order from On The Water Innovations in Asheboro, NC. Can't wait for that.

Great review. I own the same kayak, and I always have people tell me that it's a expensive kayak. I always tell them it is a expensive kayak, but it's a very cheap bass boat. I love my Old Town and I wouldn't trade her for anything.
That is awsone!! I do have a 12ft hybird, with a fitted PDL drive. And also my fitted 46lb thrust trolling motor drops in my cockpit. My PDL I usually keep in my Hull..I did research for over a year, but I fish a 1600 acre lake, and I have my Troller, PDL, and paddle. That was in my budget. Not to mention over a $1000 dollar's in accessories. They're an investment. But getting to all my spots, where bass and flats boat's cant bother me is Serenety. Beautiful vessel Bro. Be safe. 🙏🎣🤟
Absolutely a very good kayak, I am hesitant getting a kayak because of the size of aligators in the ponds and lakes I go to I like to keep all of my limbs.

These look amazing. After having it for 1+ years would you suggest the 120 or the 136? Also, do you think I could bring my 10 year old son in with me and fish?
I am selling my 17ft skiff while the boat market is hot and am saving up for a larger family boat next year. Considering getting another old town (I had a pdl 120 when I lived in WA). I want the Auto Pilot but worry about it's shallow water performance, being as I fish in mangroves and shallow flats a lot. How shallow can it draft with the motor deployed? Also, have you done any gag fishing off of the skyway? I am curious how it performs in such conditions with that current ripping through.
Ripping current is no issue for that kayak. I have been out in some pretty nasty wind and tide and never had an issue. I fish shallow and I don't have any issues. Super shallow you just pull the motor and paddle.
I'm using an LiFePo and the battery will last more than 8 hours using spot lock and traveling about 6 to 8 miles total. I have no idea how far it will go on a charge because I've never been able to run it down. I've had it out two trips on a charge and it was still going.
Great detailed review Josh. I'm in the market for a new kayak and I fish the same Tampa waters. Do you have any issues when you get in the shallow water? Does the motor have a break away feature to prevent damage if you hit bottom?
Heres the deal….i love these kayaks. Nothing is better for fishing and having that motor. But i keep going back to the pro angler. 2 reasons…..the seat is 1000x better in pro angler, But more importantly, The pro angler is the only kayak in the world that has enough space for 8-12 rods horizontally in hull, beside the seat. I do a lot of kayak tourneys and i cant stand having rods sticking up in the air or out off sides getting caught in trees, bushes, ripped off the kayak, etc. and i need to be able to fish ultra skinny water. If you’re not doing tourneys or only using a few rods, Its not an issue, But when you have to have a bunch of dif rods rigged up differently, Its so much more user friendly to be able to store them in hull, rod sleeves still on, you can double up the rod holders on the hobie….2 in each tube. Also when you are switching rods quickly, you can lay them down right inside the h rails and stack them without worrying bout threading them back in the tubes and they wont fall out cuz the h rails are holding them in hull. So i keep waiting for these other companies to bring out a hobie killer…a boat geared for the tourney angler with motor and spot lock in the package……but also the amazingly better high rise seat and rod storage for at least 8 rods horizontally-and no one does. Maybe old town will do it? Ive made designs on paper…..maybe i can try and get a company to look at it. Until that day, Using a pa14 is really only thing im comfortable in doing tourneys. I can put a bow mounted trolling motor on it to be able to compete with other motorized yaks as far as travelling distance and getting to areas.
While using the spot lock consistently, how long does one of your lithium batteries last on the water? Does it get you through an entire day on a single charge?
