Awesome neighbor! These PWR and RVR Bonafide kayaks are a beast. They was in stock at Raccoon Creek Outdoors outside Athens,OH. Wendell did a video of them at the National Fishing Expo in Columbus. ( I was in the background sitting on a Native Slayer propel 10' lol ) I'm going to pick a Native in September. Keep putting the fish in the boat dude! - TJ
Went with PWR129 w/ XI3. My 1st motorized kayak. Came from pdl120 and older titan 12. Looking forward to watching builder series to see what I may want to add in future.
I am a few months away from my Yak purchase and look forward to seeing how you build the 129. Happy for you and your brother Gramps. Tight lines good sir!
Hey bud , I was sure hoping u could give some insight on how the pwr 129 performs. Anyway I have a 2020 outback that’s powered with nk 180. It’s awesome…… but I find I don’t use the pedals anymore. I don’t take them out fishing anymore because of room. It’s to easy to hit that throttle if I want to move. Sooooo I would like to stand a lil easier and have more room. I definitely don’t want to downgrade. What do u think ???? Pickup a pwr?? Or just fish the outback.
It would be hard not to recommend the PWR129. The week Jeremy and I spent in the wind and waves on Guntersville during the KBF National Championship gave us 100% trust and confidence in these yaks.
Nice video. I currently fish out of a Nucanoe F12 and its a great kayak. Unless someone does something amazing with a new kayak the PWR129 will be my next kayak.
You are correct, it is the best. Just got my pwr129 with Newport nk300. faster than a motorcycle, however, where/how would you store/carry pliers, hook remover Z& other stuff?
I have the bonafide junk drawer cover, it has pockets where my pliers, superglue, spike it, etch. The Yakattack Trakpaks are also good for storage, plan on adding a few more.
I think most people don’t want a pedal drive in their power kayak. 100% wasted space. I threw an NK300 on the back of the autopilot 136 and its bees knees.
@@FishinwithGRAMPS I can understand that. They’re just super uncomfortable and wasted space IMO. I’m rather tall and have yet to find a pedal drive I don’t hate. Too much hip pain and too many Charley horses
@@TheOutdoorConquest I feel you there, I went from paddle, to peddle, to powered in Old Towns and now love the space of the PWR129. Love the flexibility of front or rear motor and all of the leg room, even with my short legs ;)
I sort of was, but I left. I've been promoting Old Town for three years before I joined their Pro Team. oldtownwatercraft.johnsonoutdoors.com/us/pro-staff/team
@@BamaBassCatcher99 Exactly what, Blake? You seem butthurt over my friendships with Chad and Gene. I buy what I want, when I want, to include the Old Town 120 I still have as a veteran yak.

The PWR129 is an awesome kayak. I was a few years too early when I upgraded to an SS127. But I'm certainly happy with it still!
SS127 still a great boat!
@@FishinwithGRAMPS 100% and a huge upgrade from the lifetime I was using. But that doesn’t downplay how much I like the PWR129! 😆

Definitely looks like a great choice of kayak!
Great video!
Thanks!
Great kayak but I think they really missed an opportunity to sell a bunch of boats by not offering the PWR in a pedal drive. Just my opinion.
never know what they will do in the future

Many do as a backup. Several disabled vets I know can't paddle

You know I’m looking aka making J look…. I did pay attention during KBFNC…. Now to get him to watch and learn ;)
Get him Caro
I’m living in chicago, can you please send me some information for the kayak store?
my favorite is Moving Water Outfitters in Zionsville, but Culver's Portside Marine might be closer
@@FishinwithGRAMPS thank you so much
You can put 2 motors on that no problem. I have 2 on my Native max propel 10 and it works fine.
Maybe when I lose another 80 pounds
Bonifide Bros 😎🤜
I kinda want one but i want pedals
Jeremy said that... until he put the NK300 on it
@@FishinwithGRAMPS i don’t have that schmoney lol definitely not in one shot lol

Not sponsored by Bonafide and don't want to be. Love the freedom of playing in whatever kayak I want, which is why I bought this yak.

@@FishinwithGRAMPSnegative. Regardless, I can see why you’d run one. Seems to be a great value and one of the better options.
Yeah, I knew I wanted to play build a boat and rig it for whatever situation I run into.
