To all of you trying Fluid motion frames, goofy Legion Go custom resolutions and install the regedit.
Then set the display to 900p, and set screen to Lanscape Flipped. The. Enable the Fluid Motion frames!

Lenovo = no updates (especially after 1 fiscal year). This true of all of their laptops and products. The community mods will keep the GO alive.
They’ve done a lot for it since the launch.

Lossless scaling frame generation 2.0 is better than afmf. I have both the Ally and The Go. Lossless feels more responsive when you activate allow tearing and do not put on any frame cap.
I love lossless. I have two videos up alrdy and I need to cover rhe newer update to.

@@JevierJustinChannel That becomes a very personal choice. In general they run games very similar. For me I like the Go cause I prefer bigger devices and screens. But it is a big boy compared to the Ally or Steam Deck so its not for everyone. Some people prefer or even need a smaller device
@JevierJustinChannel kickstand, detachable controllers, and track pad was a deal maker for me.
@JevierJustinChannel they both have their own pros and cons, and honestly, will vary which pros you like better. The legion go to me wins. Yea support for drives and update to space may suck or take to long but I rather have the bigger screen im able to detach controllers to make a tablet and their customer support and community. Support for legion go is amazing they honor their warranty and the community is great. as for asus.... might want to look it up (gamersnexus) channel.

Honestly not sure about this. The Lossless scaling app uses frame gen thru software that works rly well. Its a paid app in steam i use. It works great on the portrait screen. The driver level AMd frame gen tho I just rly dont know if they can get it there.
Legion space is a joke. That chipset driver bug.. glad it wasn't only my device lol.

Knew that portrait display was going to be a problem for one thing or another which is 1 reason why I stuck with the Ally can’t wait for Ally X

I have a onexgpu that I use as my docking station for my legion go so I had to sideload in the 780M AMD graphics drivers for handheld mode. I’ve had AFMF for a while now with those drivers used concurrently with the AMD Adrenaline Edition settings app, but AFMF only works on external monitor with that method also. I just use lossless scaling when in handheld mode and AFMF on external monitor in docked mode. I don’t really see a difference. I’m just curious why lossless scaling is able to do frame gen on a native portrait screen while AFMF can’t? Either way, I have all the tools I need to thoroughly enjoy my games in handheld mode or docked mode. I love my legion go and use it more than my legion pro 7i 4090 laptop. Who would’ve thought that would happen? Not me 😅
Do you think handhelds are better than laptops? I'm planning to sell mine to get a handheld because it seems more portable even if you got a power bank unlike laptops they're supposed to be plugged into wall to get the best out of it. Edit : One thing stops me from buying handheld or even the laptop i was buying that things that runs on battery will likely lasts for max 2 years rather than consoles or pc but again everything has pros and cons.
I have a onexgpu as well and I remember what a pain it was to get the Legion Go to become compatible with it for an external monitor. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and guess that you probably used Nelly's video to get it all set up like I did since she was pretty much the only person in existence who figured it out lol. She switched over to the onexplayer awhile back. So I'm just wondering, does this new update need another special process to get them working together and is it even really worth it to get the upgrade?

@@OzTheCat @ragnorus9611 I did use nellys video and then follow it each time there is a new and update. I asked her on her channel if I should update the legion chipset drivers and she said no because it will probably screw it up and I’ll have to reinstall the side loaded drivers. I haven’t installed legions drivers but I think I may just to get the update message to disappear and the reinstall the side loaded drivers of those don’t work as I expect they won’t.
@@cloak55733 I don’t think handhelds are better than laptops but they have their own niche spot. I still use my go as my general purpose pc with the onexgpu and play most of my games on it, but my 4090 laptop is way better. So I use the laptop when I want that truly immersive experience and smooth gameplay with high frame rates at 4k, but use the handheld when I want to chill on the couch or play on my 27-inch 1440p monitor. Ratchet and clank got to the point where the legion go would crash starting at the final mission so I had to finish the game on the laptop.

At the 4 min mark you enabled the option to see if amd super resolution was on. How do you do this? I want to see if it’s working in my game thanks
New driver doesn't let helldivers 1. Launch and can't get the old driver back cause I factory reset how can I get the old driver back?

So I am going on thr Microsoft store to download the amd software via Google link bc it doesn't come up when u search for it in the Microsoft store search bar for some weird reason. Anyways I click download and the download bar just circles and nothing actually happens. Please help !!!!!!
Just got the Legion Go. Diablo 4 crashes on me every single time at character select screen.

Make sure all windows and store updates are done. Then use legion space to check for all other updates. Theres a new gpu driver on the support site as well. Change your vram setting in bios to 4gb or 6gb. I typically use 4 and n alot of the games. This should get you going. Anything you dont know how to do here theres Legion Go Tips videos on the channel

@@IVenomousV 8 tends to be to much as with 16gb total that doesn’t leave enough system ram typically. Try 6 for awhile

I'm very frustrated that playing plugged in on the performance profile still blasts the tdp to the full 30 watts. Performance mode is supposed to be 20 watts and the "smart fan curve" can't handle 30 watts. My cpu temps jump to 95c unless I put on full fan which is loud af. Ffs lenovo, fix your power profiles to do what they are supposed to do!
I hear this is an issue for some. Im fortunate that plugged in performance mode still caps 20w for me. But I have seen the issue. Legion space has some bugs and problems that need addressed asap
@@GameTechPlanet and setting a custom tdp has never worked for me plugged in or on battery. Setting custom power has always put the tdp to max on my go. Idk maybe I have a faulty unit.

@@synak1538 they are clean. I was just literally working on a video. 10 degrees difference from bios 29 and bios 32. Only way to bring them back down is to adjust my fan curve higher. Its nuts

Battery life of sd oled but no windows because Value doesn't promise to give all the drivers needed for new oled version.
I have a question, I'm buying a Legion Go tomorrow do I have to update all updates on my Lenovo legion go or is it enough to just update the new ones? Can someone please help me, 1 don't really know much about Windows devices
After you get it all booted up and upur signed into windows. Just do all the normal updates spots. I usually do all the windows updates first. Then Microsoft store updates. Then legion space for all the other updates. Double check everywhere as well as sometimes more updates will pop uo after the initial installs. make sure to double check Microsoft store for and app update after gpu driver is updated. Its gonna take a little time and some restarts but once your done it should function well. I have some Legion Go tips vids here on the channel to that show all this and alot more. Please make use and enjoy your Go. Typically the discord is easier for me to answer stuff but comments here are good to. Let me know if you need anything
@@GameTechPlanet Does it matter in which order I download the updates because for Windows, for example, there may be an update from December and then also an update from June, so it's better to first download the updates that came first and then the ones after that, for example that first from December and then from June or does it matter

I did updated the drivers but now I can’t install the AMD adrenalin software it keeps showing an error 182 . What can I do ? 😢
Go into safe mode: You have to get DDU and remove it through DDU. Uninstall the AMD folder in C: . After restart normally and install new drivers hope this helps and doesn't fk you your lego lol that's just what I remember
You don't need to go into safe mode. Just uninstall the adrenaline software and reinstall the new one from the website.

Yeah this update has fixed a lot of my issues when playing call of duty kept having shader issues and crashes since installing the update it’s been running the game great

It is compatible with the new official update. Make sure to update amd software in windows store after updating

The last bios update rly messed up the cooling and the new gpu driver definitely is not helping. Everyone I know including me has some kind of thermal issues since last two updates. I may make another video on it to show. Hang in there hopefully e get updates to fix

Yea side loaded non official. Which for this device I dont typically do. Ive been testing this device since launch using the “ official user experience “ from lenovo lol.
Its a shame FG doesn't go on LeGo if Lossless does and way much better than the official AFMF, AMD needs to improve a lot.
