@@booshting3520 Mine runs with no problems. I am aware of the engine reliability talks RS 2019, because of the Langzeit Test of Mottrad Magazine in Germany. As Triumph is giving 4 years unlimited Guarantee in Germany I felt ok to go with the Streety
This bike is my mo-biking restart after 15 years of pause, before that on 4 Zylinder 1000ccm sport bikes. I did quite some test driving of somewhat different bikes and the streety was my clear choice winner. The decision between R and RS took me some extra time. As lovely as the RS is, today I know taking the R was the absolute right decision for me.
The LRH Street Triple R is my dream bike because I have a horrid inseam. Hoping to buy one this year. The fact that it's a brilliant ride also doesn't hurt.
Test rode the RS version today in Paris and totally agree about the mirrors! I can filter better on my GS1250. The guy in the dealership said he could change the mirrors and put more grippy wet weather tires on. Otherwise, superb sound and handling. Had a massive smile on my face the whole time. I'm almost tempted to trade😂
Such fun bikes to ride. At low revs you can just take it easy, then at higher revs mad mode kicks in. I had a 3 year old S (765cc engine) and it was a great first big bike that you can grow with. Just traded it in for a T7 to try something different and do some off road.
The horn is in the proper position where your thumb naturally rests near it, unlike Hondas where the horn is above the turn signals and you have to look down to find it.
Yeah Honda are the only ones that switch the two that I'm aware of. Thing is, after riding one for a while, I think Honda are on to something. In 3+ years of riding in Southern California, I've used my horn exactly once and in retrospect it was pointless. Pulling in the clutch and revving my motor is significantly louder anyways. The turn signals, however, get used constantly. Having your thumb rest naturally near the blinkers is nice, once you get used to it.
I've a 2020 Street triple R, I was gonna upgrade my 2018 R for the 2020 RS and after riding it ,it was definitely an improvement on the original RS and I was about to go for it when the dealer asked if I wanted to ride the new R first, thankfully I did and still found the R a better road bike with still better mid range, I do miss the TFT but the two way quickshifter more than makes up for it ,I also fitted bar end mirrors and a seat cowl.
Interestingly, the new RS makes 2NM more torque 50 rpm lower than the R. So the RS now has more power and torque and lower than the R. I guess they really wanted the RS to be the best in all areas.
@@triplepilot392 I've not seen any dyno data to support that yet. The new RS has more power and torque and makes it lower than the 2020 R. A dyno comparison would be useful but I couldn't find one for the 2020 R.

Do i need to take this back to the dealer and make a fuzz about it? They are nice people and the they seem very honoust.
They must have lowered the seat height. I saw on the last generations and felt it was high and Im only 30 inch inseam. Would love this bike as an all rounder but seems more of a guilty pleasure. Nice review! Havent seen your channel in a while. Love your onscreen demeanor.
A bit late. The new 21+ MT09 is a lot better, (more settled) than previous. Only you will know what’s better for yourself between trumpet and yam. Yams more fun for me, very light in feel but happier with R triple as it’s smoother and easy to ride. Yams more manic in its nature.

Hi from France!! I'm hesitating between this bike and the honda 650r (both 2023 models). I am aware engine is different. First I thought of the cb1000r but what to do on simple road... Too much power I think. I owned a cb125r and it was such a cool bike, so reliable. I now have a sv650. I've heard Tiumph was not as reliable as honda and this triumph a bit harder to handle than the honda. What's your opinion? Love your review.
Hi Dan awesome vlog again I've got 2018 triumph street triple 765 RS loving it. Sadly I've got to change it this year mite go for the speed RS 1200 ? Or something different but still a triumph anyway you take care and ride safe TTFN
Can you make a video on the 1200 RS too? By the way, love your videos and your progress! Have been a subscriber since 1k followers Long way to go buddy!
Would this be a worthwhile upgrade to the current SV650? How is it on lower speed city riding and commuting? I mean 95% of the time I am not hooning, and I don't do track days so maybe I'm not looking at the right bike? But the build quality and performance can't be denied and it's specs, electronics and price is in the Goldilocks zone, that's why it's in my shortlist. Great review as usual by the way. I like your format e.g. the proper insertion of glossy b-roll. Cheers!
Thanks for the review. Looking for new bike and cant decide between Street Triple R 2021 and Yamaha mt09 2021, do you have recommendation between those two? regards
Definitely waiting for the review of the 3 versions, mostly the R vs RS as you rode the 2 already. Still haven’t decided between the 2 so it will help!
Hey Dan, great video, no bs and to the point.. Could you tell me what the difference between 2019 r, and this 2021 r ? Is it rider modes or other ? Btw, you can spin the mirror bit around 90 degrees, it’s then about an inch narrower. I like em as they are, cats whiskas, rather a mirror hit than the bars..
Hey, if I remember correctly the 2019 R had more torque than the RS but less bhp. It also had a fancier dash. The new 2021 R has less power and torque than the RS and a much simpler dash from the older models. There's probably other changes to things such as suspension but it's been a while! Thanks for watching!
But then it has the quickshifter/blipper as standard. I think it's just a cost saving excercise. I'd prefer to have the shifter than a fancy dash I don't really look at all that much but that's me.
@@Englishbikerdan yes I agree ref quick shifter etc I personally think it's dated the bike with majority of bikes having tft, but am a bit of a gadget fan 👍hopefully give mine better resale value 😉. keep up the great content.
Its for sure a nice bike it sounds a bit like ya got to wind it up a bit in the revs ta get good power would that be right I was thinking of going down this route next year maybe selling my slightly heavier bikes but not sure yet . Is it a lot more powerful than the 675 top spec one I am guessing a little more . Cheers good run there : )
so to get the weight off your risks , just use all the 116 BHP and make the wind pressure push you backwards ? and then explain that to the policeman as he (or she !) gives you a speeding ticket, "But officer, my wrists were aching , so I had to go fast to relieve the pressure on them !!"
Yay.. finally good throttle response. My pet peave. How is your Honda throttle response again? How is the suspension on this over bumps again..? Sounds like a good bike?
I am a average for a woman (5’5), and I can tip toe the R ok. Would I lose out on getting the LRH? I plan on the occasional track day, but mostly I just do street riding/commuting and mountain twisties. It’s a factory loaded bike so It should be better than just lowering the normal R right?

Don’t know what to think of this, is the sport mode better? Do i need to take this back to the dealer and make a fuzz about it?
They are nice people and the they seem very honoust.
I prefer that dash to any TFT
They must have lowered the seat height. I saw on the last generations and felt it was high and Im only 30 inch inseam. Would love this bike as an all rounder but seems more of a guilty pleasure. Nice review! Havent seen your channel in a while. Love your onscreen demeanor.
It did feel smaller than the 2019 one I rode. It's also quite skinny, which helps! Cheers!
@@Englishbikerdan Well thats reassuring! Thanks! Cheers!
Hello. Does it need rear fender while riding on wet roads? Does rear wheel splash water to rider back?
The mirrors look a bit better than the old blade / triangular ones. I need good mirrors fo commuting in a sea of verpas and t-maxs
Great review! Can we expect an upgrade to this from your CB650R? 👍😎🇦🇺
We'll see! 😁
@@Englishbikerdan An English Biker on an English bike sounds like a good fit! 😜
I own a 2014 Striple 675 R best bikes on the road...
I also have street triple r 2020! I am from Ukraine. Cool
Awesome! Hope all will be ok over there! Stay safe 👍
Work of art
Hi Dan.
I enjoy all your reviews.
I’m interested to know your thoughts on the MT09 2021 compared to the Street R.
Keep up the good work! 👍
Thanks, not been able to ride any Yamaha's recently due to my local dealer not wanting to work with me. Might have to go further afield for one.
A bit late. The new 21+ MT09 is a lot better, (more settled) than previous. Only you will know what’s better for yourself between trumpet and yam. Yams more fun for me, very light in feel but happier with R triple as it’s smoother and easy to ride. Yams more manic in its nature.
@@douglasalexander4348 Hey man I was looking for this reply thank you :)
How is mt09 2021 different from 2022? They told me its same version in dealership
@@jankosrdic2991 Sorry, yes, 2021 is the year they changed, I’ve only seen them this year though. Yamaha seemed to have tamed the mt09 down a little, but it’s still very lively compared to the Triumph. Triumph have done an outstanding job of making 765 very smooth and easy to ride, better for me.. You have to ride both, we all like something different.
Wish the RS had the the red subframe
Hi Dan awesome vlog again I've got 2018 triumph street triple 765 RS loving it. Sadly I've got to change it this year mite go for the speed RS 1200 ? Or something different but still a triumph anyway you take care and ride safe TTFN
I like the analog tach.
Can you make a video on the 1200 RS too?
By the way, love your videos and your progress!
Have been a subscriber since 1k followers
Long way to go buddy!
Thanks for your continued support! As soon as the 1200 RS is out I should be able to get a ride on one. Cheers! 👍
@@Englishbikerdan awesome!!!
Is the rear shock adjustable as well?
Would this be a worthwhile upgrade to the current SV650? How is it on lower speed city riding and commuting? I mean 95% of the time I am not hooning, and I don't do track days so maybe I'm not looking at the right bike? But the build quality and performance can't be denied and it's specs, electronics and price is in the Goldilocks zone, that's why it's in my shortlist. Great review as usual by the way. I like your format e.g. the proper insertion of glossy b-roll. Cheers!
Any thoughts on doing a video on the huski vitpilen 701
Definitely in the future! 👍
Brakes don't have initial bite as they are designed for trail braking, after all, it is a quick bike and a triumph triple
Lovely bike bro.
Good one, Dan. Cheers.
Which one you like more and you think wish one is better price quality cb650r or street triple 765 R?
Is seat high enough and pegs low enough for someone 6 foot not to be cramped
Whats your audio setup Dan ? External recorder in your jacket ? The sound is so darn clean :o
Yeah, External recorder in the pocket. The only issue is getting the levels right! Cheers! 👍
Thanks for the review.
Looking for new bike and cant decide between Street Triple R 2021 and Yamaha mt09 2021, do you have recommendation between those two?
regards
Thanks for watching. I can't really advise as it depends what you prefer. Both are great, the MT has a bit more torque. Test both! :)
Definitely waiting for the review of the 3 versions, mostly the R vs RS as you rode the 2 already. Still haven’t decided between the 2 so it will help!
Wouldn’t the RS be the most obvious choice?
@@j.h.237 Probably. I don’t do track days so that’s why i’m asking.
Yeah, I’d like to see myself on one of those one day too.
@@j.h.237 I'd go for the R myself.
@@Englishbikerdan why the R and not the RS? Price or other factors?
Smooth and precise... sounds like my kind of bike. Is my search over?
I just bought one, its very nice.
trident or triple r which one would you pick for daily commute in city traffic and how is the heqting issue
I have 2017 model seems to me new bike has less goodies ie tft etc money saving or to distance it away from the rs?
Cheers good run there : )
Any news on being able to ride a derestricted Triple S?
so to get the weight off your risks , just use all the 116 BHP and make the wind pressure push you backwards ?
and then explain that to the policeman as he (or she !) gives you a speeding ticket, "But officer, my wrists were aching , so I had to go fast to relieve the pressure on them !!"
Yay.. finally good throttle response.
The only downside of LRH is reduced travel suspension. It'll seem a bit firmer on the road too.
@@Englishbikerdan thanks!
OMG. Finally, a youtube motorcycle reviewer who is my height. #werenotthatshort. You should review the KTM890 duke r if you get the chance.
Haha! Yes I'll be collecting the Duke 890 from KTM in early June 👍
Hey Dan.. I know its been a while since you may have rode this.. but did you notice very high vibrations from the grips/handle bar? How would you fix?
Thanks in advance!
I guess I’ll go with the trident 116 hp is too much for me. Beautiful bike indeed. Who wouldn’t like triumph
You'll love the Trident! 👍
@@Englishbikerdan thanks mate, I’ll get me one then. Cheers
