  • Building a spice rack to help organize our kitchen cabinet. I used quilted ball jelly jars to hold the spices and built it to disappear into the side of a cabinet to keep daylight from reaching the spices.

    Great idea and execution. I actually like that it makes the front cabinet less deep as that means things do not get buried in the back.

    That’s fabulous! You made such a good use of the space in that cabinet. I can’t say i’ve ever seen a cabinet with the 3 doors like that before, but it really lent itself for that clever configuration you came up with there.

      That is a tough one. Make a video when you come up with a solution. It would be cool to build a counter balanced lift to have storage that pushes up through the counter top.

    Tighter bond glue doesn’t fail the wood will fail before the glue will... It’s a great product I have used it for years. Love the cabinet Ed

      I have seen it fail in end grain joints. I think it's because the capillary action pulls it so far into the joint that the glue layer is to thin. That's all I use. Thanks for watching.

    Beautiful. Very clever with the vertical spice slide. I like the routed circles for the jars.

      The circles are required so there's no way the jars can tip out of the rack. They must be lifted to remove. It's a safety feature. Thanks for watching.
