Your product is so good and easy to use. Just started my detailing business about a week ago and CG is our weapon of choice. Detailed few car in my family and they were so satisfied w/ the result. Good Job Guys, God bless.
this video is more valuable now than it was when it came out 2 1/2 yrs ago. great pro tips here. smart. change pads, in case the pad is compromised. just smart. or you'd be scratching up the whole car twice, in case you missed a spot. here's a simple pro tip back to you: belt buckles do not have to stay in the front. if you don't want to start a new trend, just wear your buckle way to the side (as far as you can reach) when you work. I ain't losing my jewelry; you're a pro, just be careful.
Thanks for your high-quality videos! I have just ordered $250 in supplies from you guys including a torx polisher. I’ll look forward to tackling my black Saab 93 that has some pretty bad scratches on the hood. Keep up the great work it looks like your product is awesome!
Applied five dime drops, dabbed it all around the drivers side, then spread...you walked over to the passenger side and started right away. Did you not, or is there not a need, to do add more product? As always great video and thank you!
Would you wash all the towels together since you used the same color towel for the glaze, sealant, and wax? Or would you separate them for each product it was used with?
Hey there! It is perfectly fine to wash glaze, sealant, and wax towels in the same load but keep these towels separate from glass/window and interior detailing towels. - CG Nick
Don’t you have to wait 24 hours before applying the butter wax AFTER using Jet Seal? Reason being, if you apply butter wax right after applying Jet Seal, wouldn’t the Jet Seal not have enough time to cure thus removing some protection properties of the Jet Seal?
At what speed setting should wax be spread with the TorqX, a red pad, and butter wet wax? Once its spread out, does it need to then be worked in the same way VSS does?
Hi Garrett! Use the lowest speed setting on the TORQX with a Red Hex-Logic Pad to spread a fine coat of Butter Wet Wax. No need to work it in, simply apply using a cross hatching pattern and allow it to bond for a few minutes before wiping away spent product. - CG Nick
Hi Jef! It is perfectly fine apply your favorite glaze, sealant and/or wax without polishing but be sure that the paint has been thoroughly cleansed by washing and clay barring the vehicle first. - CG Nick
How do you prevent holograms when applying sealants and what speed were you using and is it pretty hard to get holograms with a DA when applying a sealant?
Hi Blake! When applying glaze, sealant, and wax with a machine polisher, use a soft finishing pad and the lowest speed setting, keeping the pad completely flat to apply a fine coat without "cutting" the paint causing holograms. - CG Nick
Just picked up a 2018 Nissan Murano SV with Black metallic paint. Has lots of swirls and light scratches. Went to Chemical Guys and pick up V38 & V34 & Black Light & Jet Seal . I noticed you put on a wax after Jet Seal would you recommend I do the same ? Like Butter wax ?
Hey Scott! After polishing apply Black Light to add depth while masking minor swirls then apply JetSeal to lock in the glaze and add protection. Finishing with wax will add more gloss and protection, Butter Wet Wax is a great option. - CG Nick
I’m using the TorqX and the lowest speed setting will not let the pad rotate unless I literally hold the polisher up off the paint. What speed do you guys recommend for the TorqX?
Is that glaze only good for black or really dark color? I have a metallic blue Silverado and would like to protect it this summer the best I can. Can I use this glaze to enhance the shine and a colour like that?
@CG, would I be able to use only the Wet Mirror Finish and Butter wet wax and skip the Jet Seal process? If I’m able to do that would my car steal have a seal.
So I can't use the TorqX? I have to buy this polisher as well? I'm confused? I don't want to burn or leave any damage to my clients cars trucks or SUVs..
are all 3 steps necessary? or would a glaze and jet seal be sufficient? i just bought the fx10 a few days ago and learned on one door. man was that process long lol id like to do a glaze and sealant most likely after i clay bar and ceramic coat the entire vehicle.
Hi James! Glaze, sealant and wax spread very thin when applying by machine, so five dime size dots can cover a large portion. Then reapply as necessary to coat the entire vehicle.
I'm planning on using Black Light glaze and then Butter Wet Wax after. Would you recommend multiple coats of each to get a better shine or one coat of each would be sufficient? Also, how long to wait after applying Black Light before using Butter Wet Wax? Thanks.
Hey Kevin! Adding multiple coats will enhance depth while providing more protection however it is still perfectly fine to use one coat of each. Allow about 15 minutes in between coatings.
Hey there! Reapply product as necessary, as you coat the vehicle the pad will start to dry out and the coat will be finer and finer. Add 5 more dime size drops when the pad no longer seems to be applying. Usually you can get a couple panels out of one application. - CG Nick
Hi Tucker! Absolutely, after polishing you can apply your favorite glaze, sealant, and/or wax for added shine and depth while adding protection. - CG Nick

While Butter Wet Wax is a smooth, liquid creme wax that melts into the paint like butter for easy on/off application to give you the deepest, wettest look imaginable in a matter of minutes. Hi Mark! HydroSlick can be used as a standalone layer of protection and gloss or combined with glaze, sealant and/or wax for added shine and more protection.
