On an older vehicle with a lot of imperfections could you do a 4 step with each v line so starting with v32 then v34, v36, and finally v38 then finishing with a sealant?
Hey Wyatt! Absolutely, in some cases it is necessary to use a multiple step paint correction to restore gloss however we still recommend to make a test spot using the least aggressive approach to determine what is best combination for your vehicle. Once desired level of shine has been achieved apply your favorite coatings to lock in your hard work and repel the elements. - CG Nick
Hey, so can't find the right video to ask this question, but can you guys explain on how would you know to either get more aggressive with the chemical or pad. Whether for paint correction or polishing. Etc. Thanks in advance.!!
Hey Junior! It is best to start with the least aggressive approach such as V36 Cutting Polish with an Orange Hex-Logic Pad, from there you can determine if more abrasives are necessary.
@@ChemicalGuys how would I know tho, if I would need stronger compound or a more aggressive pad. Can I use a heavier pad with a less aggressive compound, vise versa, can I use a heavier compound with a less aggressive pad

Would clay bar, then V34, then V36, and V38 final polish be too much an 2011 red silverado with dirty, swirled fire truck red paint? Paint isnt dull but not as vibrant as it should be
Hey! Absolutely, using V36 and V38 will refine the clear coat but it leaves the surface bare. Add protection and enhance gloss by adding layers of your favorite ceramic, glaze, sealant, and/or wax. - CG Nick
Hey there! After washing the vehicle, inspect the paintwork to determine if a clay bar is necessary. If the paint feels rough or has never been decontaminated it will need to be clay barred.
Hey! Compounds are better suited for machine polishing but you can use a fine polish such as V36 by hand to remove light scratches and swirls. - CG Nick
