A wild camp after a very steep climb was rewarded as we emerged out and on top of the clouds for a perfect wild camping experience high on the mountain top ....

Wow Murray!!! That is absolutely stunning. Does not get any better. Sitting watching the sun go down with a whisky above the clouds. Superb! 👍👌
The whisky was a grand wee treat after the hike up to camp in that heat !! lol Not a bad spot for sure. Nothing beats a good inversion (as you know Graham - you have had a few spectacular films above the clouds yourself :))

I have never been disappointed by any of your videos I’ve watched and that has been MANY… but this one completely inspired me to comment. I have been longing to bag a Munro or several…and even if I ever do realize that dream, I know that I’ll likely never see an inversion like this in my lifetime, so this video brought happy tears to my eyes!! Thank you for sharing this! I always look forward to ‘our hikes together’...so again, many heartfelt thanks for you and your shared adventures, sir! ♥️

Saw two inversions this year and this one doesn't get any better.
Certainly lifts my mood in the dark winter nights seeing Scotland at its best like this.
Hi Alistair , its been an awesome year for inversions this year :) I have been lucky to experience a few (also just missed out on one!! - stay tuned later in the year for that video!). Was up Glen Coe a few weeks ago and got another belter of an inversion but it'll take me a while to get that video sorted I think :) lets hope for lots more as I really do enjoy a good inversion , one of my favourite types of weather for walking in :)

Ahhh those fine summer days, could feel the warmth through the TV 😉 And what a trip, that inversion was glorious!
I’ll never forget seeing Rays photos that day you two were up there. Regretted not going out that week when I saw those photos. Hopefully we get similar weather next summer👍 Maybe a bit too warm for us😂 As I’ve said before I love the Crianlarich Munro’s. Now I’m hoping to see you both out for the winter camps. Remember your vlogs from the 2019 winter with Ray. ATB Gaz.
Fingers crossed we get some settled weather for heading out for a wild camp at some point over the winter :) would be awesome to get similar conditions to this with some snow on the ground too :)

One of your better Adventures Murray I bet it was hard climbing up that steep mountain in the heat of the summer. The views were brilliant when you first sat down looking at the mountain on the way up that looks like a perfect cone. As you were climbing up I could see Ray at the top moving about his tripod. I do recollect your snow camp last year on Stob Binnein which was also an epic adventure. Excellent film of the Cloud Inversion and the Brocken Spectre. I hope you enjoyed your wee dram and the Wasabi Peas - yes they are hot I have had them but they are nice though. ATB. Stay Safe.

Did SB and BM from this direction a couple of years ago.
Unfortunately, though it was a beautiful day lower down, the complete ridge and summits were in the clag. Visibility 10/15m, so nice to see what we didn't.
BTW, agree it's a steep old pull up onto the ridge.

Ah brilliant - hope you have many great adventures in the notch , I was eying one up for a 7 day hike I did earlier in the year (stayed tuned for those videos) but ended up just taking the Scarp but the Notch may have been a little lighter:)

Wow! I've climbed Stob Binnein over that path three times, and I've never seen it looking anything like that! Such a beautiful area.
Ah, it's nice to remember the warmth of summer in the depths of December! I just got back in from a nighttime walk around the neighbourhood with my boys, looking at the stars and the Christmas lights. The wind was so cold it froze our faces, so it's a lovely treat to come back in and enjoy this with a wee mug of mulled wine (the boys'll have hot cocoa!)
The warmth of summer has definitely gone now!!lol Its a bit cooler now , hard to remember those balmy nights! This was a cracking camp , would love similar conditions in the winter for a wild camp though :)

Thanks Tony, it was certainly one of the best inversions I have experienced for a few years and there have been a few cracking inversions this year. Got a good one in Glen Coe and few weeks ago but the video wont be ready for another month or so (just busy at work at the moment )
