Wow, Robert that was absolutely stunning. An amazing pitch for sure! And well done for making it whilst not being well, too. Respect, man👊. ATB Dave 🙏🏻
@@Moffatmountainadventures Yeah hit the hackpot that year for snow. Was up the same place last week in those storms, not much snow, but wild wind and rain, all good fun👍🏴🏕👌
Thank you 🙏. Definitely my favourite one to date. Next weeks one is pretty cool and given where it is I’m sure you’ll appreciate it too. Was just a stunning spell of weather that
Wow absolutely brilliant video Mate what a sunrise and Inversion...Drone shots where fantastic Epic!! your channel is getting some big views well done! Stay safe bud. ATVB Andy and The ROCK STAR ⭐ 🙏🏻
Thank you Andy. First one I’d say I’ve really tried to put more faith in the drone like you do. Pulling it much further away and taking it well out of eye shot. That sunrise was something else. Really happy with how this videos gone so far, hopefully the subs pick up too but it was definitely a favourite of mine so far. Cheers bud. Looking forward to seeing your next ones soon
That was pretty special in the morning pal , the light was beautiful . Inversion wasn’t bad either 📷👍 you made me laugh about a bomb gan off in your tent , mine always looks like was has gone off inside 😂 fair play camping not feeling 100% well you sounded it lol atb Dave 🥶⛺️👍
Cheers Dave. Couldn’t have asked for a better morning. Perfect temperatures too. That bloody cough is still niggling at me but no chance was I missing out on that camp. Weathers just been too crappy lately.
What can I say Robert apart from this was out of this world. Firstly well done for venturing out given you had a rotten cold and sore throat. Secondly where you chose to pitch on what is called the south summit was sublime. Thirdly a great position after you checked all the relevant weather reports because to capture its neighbours Ben More and Stob Binnean on such a clear night and morning, that doesn't happen very often as those two are usually clagged in. Your new tent is a very close example to my winter choice, the Husky Extreme Fighter 3/4 from the Czech Republic again with the snow skirts. Another excellent video and a planning effort second to none mate. Keep up the great work bro.
Thank you Marcus. You’d had definitely loved that camp. Every forecast said the same so I just had to get up regardless of that cough. Yeah it is quite similar to the husky. That’ll be an idea one for you to use on a summit I’d say. Hopefully we’ll get out pretty soon
Superb 👌 my favorite video you've done yet 👍. Tent looks great and should take a good beating . Love decathlon stuff have a few things from there. Just got myself a bigger backpack for my winter camps from them and its up there with the bigger brands but less and half the price than some. Ye those conditions were to good tp pass👌. Building a snow mam sounds a good idea will need to remember that if i get back out in the white stuff again this year. 😄
Cheers Steven. Easily my favourite camp for some time. Only bug was that cough but no chance could I miss the opportunity to get out. Couldn’t remember the last time I seen a summit forecast with winds under 5mph. I love decathlon gear. I’ve got way more expensive kit from other brands that haven’t performed as well. I built one last year up loch skeen and for a week all I kept seeing was folk taking selfies with my snowman and posting it on Facebook groups. Gave me a proper laugh that.
Wow, what a fantastic video Robert👍☃️🏔 well worth the effort even tho you weren’t feeling 100%. That sunrise was something else and the drone footage was just brilliant. I really enjoyed that👍 ATB Frank
@@hikingwithfrank315 cheers frank. It was rare week we had when the wind went, no clouds too, just couldn’t pass it by over a cough. Appreciate that thank you 🙏
Used it twice and so far I’ve had none. Took that bivy bag just in case. Must have just been 2 low humidity nights as I’m expecting it to be bad. Definitely won’t be using too much in the summer
At 3kg it is my heaviest tent however for summit camping in winter most 4 season tents aren’t much lighter than maybe 2.5kg. The views were something else.
@@Moffatmountainadventures yeah I’ve been looking for a freestanding mountaineering type tent, there are some much lighter ones but they’re all a bit short, 200cm ish. Lovely video mate, subbed.

Cheers Dave. One of the rare nights and mornings with barely a breeze too. That bloody coughs been on me for weeks too. 😂
Excellent, love a snow camp👍🏴🏕👌

Amazing Robert , amazing footage
Thank you Anne Marie 😊. Always wanted to get Ben Challum in winter conditions, chuffed with that one
Great video Robert. That was a stunning sunrise to wake up to, and I do like that wee red tent ⛺️
