The first notes of "In Hell...." are forever stuck in my head. I'm 63. Heavy metal fan/guitarist. Takes a lot for me to listen to country/WESTERN but this stuff is a classic. Is Hollywood calling?
This is a very good band that captures quite a few style, and mixes it's in there own unique style. It's intelligent and slightly tongue in cheek. It's a great sound with it's own merits, and has to been seen live in the setting of some some old dilapidated venue to catch the angle these guys are coming from. Please come to the UK, or to be more precise West Yorkshire.
One guy is not like the other....3 have beards, one is clean shaven. Way to stick out dude....well that and the cello, but still. Keep up the good work guys, your songs are just what i have been looking for. Edit: I don't mean this in an offensive or rude way.

Then I fell to my knees
Oh...
Well I've been drinkin' here for so many damn years
Trying to recap my life
Every night trouble finds my sight and I can't help but fight
With a bottle of Jack and a tin of skoal
Tonight I'm goin' home
Today's the day a man put me away and I can rest my soul
Love these guys!!!!
The first notes of "In Hell...." are forever stuck in my head. I'm 63. Heavy metal fan/guitarist. Takes a lot for me to listen to country/WESTERN but this stuff is a classic. Is Hollywood calling?
these guys would be great to go see play with Nathaniel Ratliff and the night sweats
Eric Elson, dude you read my mind
son of a bitch gimmie a drink
cheers fellers
them and reverend Horton heat...!
Got to see Horton Heat and The Tossers perform at Joliet IL...was truly a treat to see that.
thank you dead south....for your music and your soul that you gave to me....
Holmfirth picturedrome?
Kelvin Wilson and Norwich.
Go to any confederate states where the union burned down cities thats the impression i get
cmguitar2094 they're Canadian so...
i mean, theyd probablly fit in around where i live haha or maybe in PA. dont relly know too much about this style in canada
One guy is not like the other....3 have beards, one is clean shaven. Way to stick out dude....well that and the cello, but still. Keep up the good work guys, your songs are just what i have been looking for.
Edit: I don't mean this in an offensive or rude way.
stumbled onto "The Dead South" on youtube , the first video I saw was "In Hell I'll Be In Good Company" and I was hooked, didn't know where they're from, actually had to look on map to see where the hell Regina, SK. was , now I'm in the United States and didn't recognize the state abbreviation, lol, well Oh Canada who knew, great job guys keep up the great music and keep sharing these great music videos.
Same, I'm hooked. I might love bluegrass now

Every time I think I’ve heard every good song from these guys I find another one. I should know by now.
Yeah i don't get to say this very often but that cello player is fuckin bad ass
What's even more badass is how he plays it like a bass guitar, which is very much like Folk Punk.

@@marvinthemaniac7698 would you consider them folk punk? I always kind of thought of them as alternative country but maybe you're right
@@jodysmith333 that is indeed a bad ass cello player thanks for turning me on to that page
@@badfish41969 In many an interview, they described their music as punk rock played on acoustic instruments, which is the very definition of Folk Punk.
I hope you know how many lives you affect with your music god bless your father I wish my father had that much faith in me who knows what I might have become thank you

Music is awesome dosn't matter the genre as long as it has heart I'll listen to it
This band made RESPECT whiskey, I don't drink it but! I respect the hell out of it!
I want the Dead South to pin this comment:
The way you turned the cello into a poor man's bass while playing heavy metal riffs on the banjo profoundly inspired me as a musician. My up & coming Folk Punk band is going to be a shoe-in at the Grammys thanks to you guys for providing me with all the inspiration!
Nice one dude.
@@fromcreationtochrist9349 thank you, all that needs to happen now is for this comment to get pinned.
The dead south is playing south of the equator. On ya bloke's, bloody good shit mate!
You are my favorite band
Un sung heros. An entire population of the world were manipulated to risk life and health for the mining of raw goods. Thankyou for remembering them all with your Talents!
