I remember when Kru Taywin started coaching at Lanna Muay Thai nearly 30 years ago.

It is true that many or most fights they go for power strikes, and especially clinching they use lots of forces. Techniques I guess what Kru was trying to say is that use iq or intelligence or better still use wisdom to fight like a true Muay fimeu not just power(but power is important as it comes together with techniques and accuracy and timing and balance) but of course it depends on style of the person whether he is Muay khao(knee) or Muay plum(clinch) or Muay mat(Low kicker) etc.

I'm a dutch kickboxer with a growing love for Muay Thai, Do you maby have a link how real Muay thai Looks different than Muay Thai when used to much on Power? Curious about the difference.
