I like how the crew is so pessimistic at the start of every battle, then celebrate like hell when you sink each one.
No kidding, thinking your captain's sailing you to suicide.
Shit, i would be scared too if i was in their shoes, knowing that Kenway was an Excellent Captain, but still, they were going against the deadliest ships known.
El Impoluto is by far the one that terrified me the most when I accidentally found her with a low level Jackdaw.
I knew the fight was gonna be tough, “a Man’O’War? ah great…”
But then her sails drop and starts to sail right towards you, far faster than a ship even half her size.
You got your ass handed to you with that jackdaw on low level didn't you?

@CyberClaw Terror I feel like the extremely armored ship is the scariest cause you can only hurt it from ramming or shooting it's back (the windows at the end of the ship)
The long range mortar shots always give me goosebumps, just seeing the black cloud in the sky and the fire storm that comes after it is just too good.

I love how you can hear the mortars being loaded when you encounter La Dama Negra
That's actually the sound of the ship's armor since it has such heavy armor that you can hear it clanking at the beginning of the fight. La Dama Negra is my favorite legendary ship though because it has the most badass intro out of the other ships, like right at the start it fires off like several mortars just to show you that it's not messing around.
I remember AC IV for the first time. Just bought an Xbox One with AC IV and AC Unity bundled together. I also remember I had no idea what all icons meant so I just set course to it. I arrived and then a video played with the ship being introduced and in my head I was like that meme. "And at that moment, he knew he fucked up!" No upgrades, no extra items, no armour. Nothing. D=
Sometimes when El Impoluto takes a sharp turn, it tilts about 45° which looks awesome
I had already known to be well prepared and maxed out for these fights, but jeez I still have PTSD of El Impoluto racing towards me.
Easiest way is to tail them on their back and ram them each time. But that doest apply on the fearless and royal sovereign
The First one was honestly my favorite one to go against (HMS Fearless and Royal Sovereign)
You could farm them for easy money, kill one collect the loot & leave, come back they’d be 2 of them again. Rinse & repeat.

Can't express how satisfying it is watching someone really dial in particular moments to mercilessly pound one of these. Most people steering the Jackdaw apparently can't aim or use their broadsides and it's so frustrating.
Yeah truth be told, even though many games look better without a hud, black flag looks beautiful without it. I mean just look at the screen and how awesome everything is. If this game had a more captivating story, it would have been a masterpiece .

The pirate stuff was the only reason I played this game. If they had made it without all the weird AC magic stuff and done a more realistic story it would have made my top 10 all time.

Beat HMS Prince on my third attempt. These ships really test when you know to be aggressive or defensive, and being defensive against HMS Prince is one way to stay in its broadside and get hit by frequent bursts of heavy shot.

Fun fact: at the fight of Brothers-in-Arms, if you ram whichever ship is enraged, they won't blow up and sink with you, and this way you can abuse this to defeat an enraged ship.

Fun fact for all of you: el impoluto means the spotless and la dama Negra means the black lady
i defeated el impoluto in one try, but it took me multiple attempts to beat la dama negra as it was a long range ship

I did not notice white is royal sovereign and black is hms fearless i thought the black is royal sovereign and white is a hms fearless im dumb bruh

Its El Impoluto, just because the ships ram one shots you with no health upgrades, meaning if you were to have max health upgrade, its ram would do almost half or can only take away one bar.
I beat lama negra and el impoluto in just 1 try my ship wasn't full upgraded but I have won in just 1 try
The easiest way is to ram them in the back that their weakness
Only one that gave me trouble was the fearless and the sovereign, took me like 5 tries

I still play it, my stepbrother lent me his copy. I used to have it on the PS3 too and I beat all of the legendary ships and did all the side quests.
Now with mods u can play with legendary ships
i defeat 2 legendary ships of lost pirates with 2 waves of cannon fire and motar and oil flame

I know this is over 2 maybe almost 3 years old but you can also look at the sails, if there is holes on the sails that does mean the ship is taking extreme damage.

Once I got my shit maxed (without most of the plans) the bottom two ships were easy AF. Did the armored one first try (got to close on my first attempt and had low health, still did surprisingly well). But the one that won’t piss off and stays to close I just can’t beat, I don’t understand what your doing works and why what I do doesnt
That ship is fast & is trying to ram your ship and if it does, it's a lot of damage. Turn around from it and drop explosive barrels in front of it every-time you can, keep your distance, and hammer it with mortars. Explosive cannon shots at close range if it's near you, but the trick really is to be far from it. Note: I don't quite understand what you're saying about ''having your shit maxed without most of the plans. To have a maxed-out ship, you need the plans from shipwrecks' diving. At least, you need max armour, max mortars and max explosive barrels. The only one that is easy without being maxed is the HMS Prince. The others are either deadly or heavily armoured.

No bro first I get scared I also thought of hack but slowly slowly i upgraded jackdaw and today I defeated the twins and HMS prince
You are right but what it really requires, SKILL, as they're name implies, you can't just max the Jackdaw and hope to make it alive, you need Strategies.
I just destroyed all of em without upgrade
