This is a tutorial guide on defeating All Four (4) Legendary Ships in Assassin's Creed 4 Black Flag.
How to defeat all 4 legendary ships:
1: You must have your ship (The Jackdaw) Fully upgraded.
2. Use the Chain shot to slow down the legendary ships, and ram them in the end of the sip. Not the Middle because that is where you can take a lot of damage.
3. Use fire barrels and Mortar shots as much as possible without being wasteful.
At the end when you defeat all Legendary Ships you get the CHARGE RAM or charged attack which is very awesome.

Hard to remember clearly because it's been so many years, but I do remember being on its side somehow(like sorta side by side) and then next second it pulled this shit and I just remember seeing the entire ship's underside. Me at that point: .____. *death* lololol was really funny but total b.s.
I thought that the easiest would have been the Legendary battle at the top right end of the map, the 'easy' labeled area. I got rekt. XD

It's just me or every time you go against those legendary ships your ship doesn't respond as fast as when go against any other man of war ships. It's kind halt in the middle of the fight.

That staying behind the ship tactic helped out a lot. Thanks for the video and the advice.😎👏👏👏👊 It also feels like the game nerfs the hell out of your ship as well as soon as you go into combat with one of these. Like the steering, stopping and moving slows down more then when your in regular combat.🤨

Glitch still works guys. I just did it today to check. Key is to go the speed before traveling speed and begin holding the button to release the wheel at 570 distance. Glitch only works on 2 of the legendary ships.

When i defeated el impoluto, I've had two and a half health bars left. But it was the hardest XD
This legendary ship battle drives me nuts
With approximately a 40% upgraded ship, I went after HMS prince. I defeated it, but it took me ages because I tailed it the entire time and only used chain shot and ram :/

Actually the key is to be just on their side hit them with your chase guns and while bracing you take their fire so much better and can do massive damage on the charge. Get them both low health by repeating this. Make sure to switch targets as they make their pass as it will make keeping their health the same and allow you an easier time getting into the side of them. Sometimes it is possible to kill one of them super fast, but that's a horrible mistake because when one of them dies the other one enrages and will smash into you any chance it gets easily taking a quarter or more health away from your ship. This is made even worse the the unbelievable speed and turn radius of them when they do enrage. Hope that helped.

With the sister ships, I would have one on very very low health and kill the other. Having one ship pissed off at you with full health was difficult for me so after I used this strategy, it was very easy. (I personally thought the negra ship was the most difficult imo)
all you have to do is stay behind it and unload into it's butt.
Legit swam out to the ships, climbed up the side and before I could board I got a cannon ball in my face :(

For the twins, you want to weaken them both as low as you can, because once you kill one, the other goes ballistic.

And yet here I am fully upgraded and I’m dead before even getting them down to 50%. Dunno if it’s shitty PlayStation but your ship can turn around so much faster. Seriously it takes mine about 60 seconds to do a 180.
I’m also surprised how much smoother and detailed your graphics are. PlayStation misses out on so many effects.

The ramming ship clearly had home issues and is taking it out on everyone else.

7:39 that legendary ship that fires multiple moters. When you attack that ship like that I always stay clear of her motors but her broadsides are crazy inaffective. I always shoot my broadsides from behind his ship. I mean it is insane.

Elite ram and elite fire barrels do tons of damage on the LA dama negra armer , making them useful for your secondery attacks :-)

as of 8/10/2016 it works *warning* this is quite difficult to do and may take many trys but it can be done. it all depends on the way that the ship comes at you and if it's going down a wave so your able to jump on
I swear to God this and the Valkyries in God of War or some of the hardest challenges I've ever dealt with in a video game.
I really wish they would have let you upgrade the larger ships as time went by. There's a game on the original Xbox and PS2 called Pirates: Legend of Black Kat. Where you start off with something about the size of the jackdaw manowar. They also had unique stuff in that game like fire bombs and skink pots which acted similar to chain shot and would make the crew fire more slowly but you also hadn't change shot. I feel like if the two games were combined you'd have the perfect pirate game

ive gone for the bottom right ship with barely any upgrades ive gotten so close to defeating it but died before i could try and finish it off
thats what i actually I did on HMS Prince A.K.A. Ghost Ship. and my ship is not fully upgraded only 50% Armour and Weapons. using Chain Shot to STUN is very effective.
Nice guide ty for it I played for 3 Days now and i dont have all uppgrades but i mange to get them down to around 5-15 % am pretty sure i can kill the solo legendary ships prob is i havent found them yeat only the duo so i dont get whats hard about them Think its more like its to meny silvers aka casual gamers online to day only hard part in this game is the bad controlls dont know how meny times u fail full synk because you somtimes dont assasinate and hit with swords ore jump In the opposite direction
m+k is really bad in this game. but i like the pirate thing in ac hope they make a pirate remake with other story for 2019+ again.

I defeated all 4 of them today. My jackdaw is almost maxed and died once in every battle. The twin ship battle almost made me die a second time and I had less than one bar of health.
The one he said in the video that was the hardest I did first go the hardest one is the one with the op ram
Ramming are the most effective because it did so much damage but how to Ram the ships are the hardesr

I defeated two of em...the sacrifices that were made...
Took me about 45 mins to sink HMS Prince with just chain shot by staying behind, I have a hand cramp but it was worth the 20k reales
Rumor has it if you kill all crew members of a Ship it will instantly have 1% Hp when you ride the jackdaw
Too bad it won't easily work for the legendary ships since it kills you instantly if you climb it
The only way is to get to its front while your on the jackdaw then jump out of your ship to ride the legendary
But you have to time it right if you want to do so since you can't dismount while your in conflict
if im remember the ghost ship have one special thing..i fight with him in a storm, and every lightning he makes a "teleport" from me, to one secure distance...that happen only to me? or its normal?
Kingsiegek I couldn't figure out what was special about that ship. It fired a weird effect but I couldn't figure out what was special with it
I know this is late,but yes if you get some distance from it,it will dissapear and then reapear whenever there is a lightning strike
in my opinion the hardest isn't the twins but El Impoluto i had the most trouble with that one aha :)

Damn, El Impoluto was unexpectedly easy but i'm getting wrecked by all the other ships
after i made the jackdaw full upgrade, i took them all with 1 try, (except "El Impoluto" wich took me 8 times to sunk it without fire barrel storage bcs i havent the last plan map unlocked yet from the fleet :P ) but these ships r like a test on how good pirate u r... nice idea from ubisoft to test the player on cool 1v1 batle :D
