The brothers are actually more lethal if one of them gets taken out, as the remaining twin will switch to heavy shots. I learned that the hard way
NightEagle256 Aye and more likely to ram you, which makes the remaining sister ship a cousin of El Impoluto with how it fights with a ram and broadsides, trying its best to take you down with her. Honestly I'm pretty impressed, compared to HMS Prince, an enraged ship with nothing to lose is more terrifying, especially when it sets itself on fire.

I think what makes it more intimidating is the background music that plays during these fights.
At my first Legendary ship battle I was something like this:
"Dammit, It is scary!"

As intimidating as the Prince is, the battle plays out like any normal Man O' War battle.
The HMS Prince is a normal Man O' War, with some visual mods and 5 levels higher than the highest level non legendary ship of the same class.
Of course, there is the Royal Fortune, but...
I've met a level 70 non legendary, randomly generated Man O' War somewhere in Black Flag. Was just sittin' there near some sandbars, chillin' in the hot Caribbean sun.
The fact during the battle with La Dama Negra a man o war and a schooner were pulled into battle somehow made it epic af

Jackdaw is not a brig its a military clipper ship and its the only type of ship in the game.

When I was a kid roughly 9 years old at the time, the sight of the legendary ships used to scare me because obviously how the hell is a brig supposed to take down a kitted out man o' war. Literally upgraded the whole ship, got the templar armor and the mayan armor and somehow the sight of them was just terrifying for my "haha pistol sword go boom" mindset

So, lemme tell ya a funny story:
I finished the game, only had TWO BLUEPRINTS LEFT to max the Jackdaw out, right? So i wanted to try my luck at these ships. HMS Prince got his ass handed to him, same for the Dama Negra and Impoluto. But the twins? Impossible.
Well, here's the funny part: I accidentally deleted my profile and had to download it back to not lose it. But, i lost the progress of ALL THE 43 GAMES I HAD. So, i have to fight them ALL OVER AGAIN, beat the campaign all over again, collect shit all over again, etc.
Moral of the story?

When I first fought the legendary ships I took on the twins first. Got my ass kicked so I took on the others and saving the twins for last. The rematch with them is great because I took them down on my first try!

Let’s be honest the storm fortress was the hardest one it was the most difficult and after you defeat it you need to defeat 2 other legendary ships

I found it shockingly easy. What makes it special? La Dama was extremely difficult though. The brothers also posed a unique threat, but Impoluto was about as hard as a level 60 man o war
Boam what makes it so difficult to us is that the ship is way to damn fast and if you don't have your ship maxed out or your not that good you are going to get annihilated by it I had a harder time with El impluto and the easiest time with negra

Funnily enough I actually swam up to the HMS Prince without triggering the battle. I got too close and it shot it’s cannons at me and killed me but there were actually crew members stood on the ship.

The twins need to be apart if you take on both your on for a hell of a ride!
I could totally agree that the La Dama Negra is the only armored ship
you just need a fully upgraded jackdaw (no need in case of prince and la dama negra), and a moderate amount of naval combat experience then you can easily take down those beasts.
Some tips,
HMS Price, after every 2 mortar shots, took a break or you can say that it's a window when you should act, but during those 2 shots you should try your best to dodge them.
La Dama Negra, you just have to follow her from behind and keep near her as much as possible and keep using your ram to hit her.
The Twins, when you start the combat with them, just forget the white one and keep on going towards black one, keep near her and use your heavy shots, in 2 heavy shots and 2 normal shots with puckle guns you can easily take down more than 75% health, now go for the white one and use same strategy, when both of them have only 25% health left take down black one, after taking her down move as much farther as possible but in the way keep dropping your barrels, at this moment white one will become the second el impoluto but due to those barrels she won't be able to take you down and instead her recklessness will help you.
At last Impoluto, the hardest one, you need good reflexes and awareness as whenever you got the opportunity use your normal or heavy shots also whenever she came to hit you keep revolving in circles and use barrels
Believe me, mortars in case of these legendy ships are just bitches, and they won't help you, they will only helpful in case of ordinary ships but in legendary ships case you should maximize the usage of heavy shots + normal shots + puckle guns.

I know this is 6 years late but
Aim where they are going to be not where they are if you are shooting a moving target.
Your mortars aren't lasers they take time to get where you aimed.
If you aim where they are by the time the mortars land the target is somewhere else and only some or none hit.
If you aim where they'll be then by the time the mortars land they'll be where you aimed and they'll take alot of damage
The first ship that he did I did so much I memorized when that cutscene happened and I pressed B right before so I just hopped on the ship and killed everyone on it and sinker the ship

My god imagine the Devil's due and the Emperor of the sea and the other man of war ships in assassin's creed pirates were put in the assassin's creed black flags as legendary ships.

Actually, An achievement is possible on Xbox 360, you get a "Defeated all the legendary ships" achievement And Ram, That's all.
In Royal Sovereign and HMS Fearless if u beat one ship then the other ship was like "YOU FUCKING KILLED MY TWIN YOU'RE SO DEAD TO ME"

Adewalè was the one who referred the ship to him. If I was Edward I would've gone with Ade's reference, but since I also like man o' wars, if I was a captured pirate, I'd steal a Man o' War myself.
We did actually get to pilot the Nosso Señhor, but that idiot Roberts took down the level drastically from 70 to 36 and made it slower in the process.

Agreed. That funneling maneuver is so effective. No matter how fast your ship is, they can still lock you in a double broadside.
This technique was later reused in Rogue, by the pirate duo, and the Assassin support ships for the Storm Fortress.
For me, i fear Impoluto the most.

The 3rd one is like a convoy but larger.
Even when you know the strengths and weaknesses of the ships, for me it is too hard. I tried the first one (easiest?) for 20 times now, but the manoeuvrability of the Jackdaw is just not good enough. You also should be able to press 4 buttons at the same time while trying to keep the ship in the right place, I can't do that. And why did we have to get all the upgrades of our ship if they hardly help here? If you hit it with a mortar, it hardly loses health. The difference between the normal ships and these ones is just too great. It is the only trophy of the normal game I am missing. I knew I was never going to get the platinum because of the crazy multiplayer trophies, otherwise I would be pissed now.
El Impoluto was so damn easy. All she does is ram, so if you spam the chain shot, she completely stops; opening her up to devestating heavy shot broadsides and counter rams. Once she cowers and flees to reposition, just mortar her and when she tries to ram again, use the chain shot. I managed to complete it with all 3 health bars left.
La Dama Negra, though. Those invisible mortars fucked me up.

first of all it is sailing. Second of all if u had legendary ships it would be to easy.
And i think they would explode themself since those ships could easily take over the world. Best case scenario is that your ship becomes bigger with the upgrading

Technically you can but not in the normal sense. If you release the wheel right before the ships start coming at you. And you time your jumping right you can jump onto their ship and kill everyone on it.
How do you quit one of these missions?

I personally found la dama negra to be the easiest ship to fight. Once you understand her pattern she becomes easy asf

I tried a completely upgraded ship but it doesn't work It's a clean shit first of all the ship the legendary ships are much faster and to catch up I hit you much more powerful easy Not easier it's not when I approach the legendary ship it's on the verge of the impossible I can't come to them You posted the video modifying the game so as not to destroy ship 7 much at a blow but in my case it's not the same hit directly with the armor to the maximum thing that you have no chance to do anything should this patch space be released on the internet for free because you use it and we don't have it so we can take these legendary ships that we don't have no chance
