The Aquila was originally supposed to be built by the Swedish assassins, but due to heavy Templar interference they asked Achilles to contact the French Brotherhood instead. As a Swede that's a nice detail. In fact, from what I read the Swedish Brotherhood is a very humble and helpfull branch, but I desperately want Ubisoft to explore and develop this branch.
You could literally do one around the time of King Charles or the founder of Sweden or the Kalmar Union. People only look at Sweden's viking history and forget that had a very interesting period in between too. That one story about a guy escaping by skiing down hill from being held prisoner literallly sounds like an AC mission
Not 'diverse' enough for Ubisoft I'm afraid. Won't please the blue haired Crowd in Ubisoft unless they can contort it to suit their sensibilities and the Message
Man I bet it was frustrating to see Valhalla. So close to realizing your wish. They barely even put Norway in it. And all the English settlements of course are Danes because well Danelaw. I cannot think if there are any Swedish people in the game or any references to it. Though I heard the Jomsviking stronghold could’ve just as easily been in Sweden as much as it could’ve been in Norway or Denmark. Either way I wish the focused on the Jomsvikings. They are perfect to put a spin on Assassin Vikings. Just like Pirates were assassins, Maroons were assassins, the Jomsvikings if I’m not mistaken fought for religious freedom in a time where Christianity was taking over the North.
@@OrthodoxLegion907 It can't also morrigan beat the experto crede (adevalé's ship) which is a copy of the jackdaw so basically has the same power output and still lost.
@@maszkalman3676 imo the experto crede is extremely underpowered in the story. When in the convoy mission where you manned james cook's man o' war I shot a full broadside and it only took 1/5 of its health
The Morrigan is probably my favorite ship, there's just something so cool about piloting a sloop of war than a brig. Like its smaller than the Jackdaw, but it makes up for it with its double fire rate and speed. Plus the captain's cabin is probably the best there is.
the jackdaw was part of a fleet thats thought to be the spanish convoy wich crashed near the coast of the U.S.A with so much gold that it kept flowing up on the shore for hundreds of years, but on ship was supposedly missing, wich they decided to make the jackdaw
That was indeed a very nice detail in terms of historical accuracy. The Spanish Treasure Fleet never made it to Spain due to the Hurricane, how it's said that one ship managed to make it out, before the half the fleet was sunk and the other half was smashed against the shore, and the mysterious sole survivor ship that escaped however, its whereabouts after that event were unknown, which gave room for imagination, as there was more than just gold, and trinkets aboard. The haul included: Gold, Silver, Crystallines, Sugar, Rum, Gin, Ale, Beer, Tobacco, Slaves, Prisoners, Gunpowder, Ammunition, Weapons, Firearms, Fuel, Foods, Crops, Medicine, Wood, Metal, Cloth material, Scematics, Clothing items, Artifacts, and so on. The Spanish was the most powerful Empire at that time. I think the only inaccuracies I will point out is that the vessels, Edward, Adé, and the rest of the crew were aboard were supposed to be more numerous, and these ships are supposed to be crawling, and teaming with Sailors, and Merchants, and the haul aboard (especially the gold) was supposed to be sealed and not scattered all over the lower decks, but all in all it looked great. It was a smart choice to dive there for Medicines during Nassau's outbreak of Syphilis. Florida's first main reason for being what it is today is because of that Treasure washing up on shore for centuries. There's no telling what you could find in that wreck today, maybe a few dabloons or a school of sharks, perhaps. Blackbeard: Your Jackdaw handles nice... hitched her from the Spanish? Edward: Aye... in the midst of a Hurricane. Adéwale: We managed to escape before the fleet was smashed against the shore. Blackbeard: Was the haul aboard rich as men are saying? Edward: A THOUSAND TIMES THAT. I reckon, a million pound worth of Reales was sunk that day. Blackbeard: The Devil loves a Hurricane. Might have a dive there one day see what we can rummage up.
@@onilion5679 I thought it was an explanation for why the Spanish never set out to look for their missing ship I didn’t know it was an actual historical event
Great video I agree with you, the jackdaw and morrigan are the most enjoyable to play and the best of the franchise. 2:30 "Despite his smaller size being compare to the other ship in this video" For me the Aquila is the longest, largest out of the five in the video but it's just a detail.
I think everyone agrees with me. The best ship of all the Assassin's Creed games is the Black Beard ship, which you can sail with that in one of the missions. His ship was very big🫠
"Hey, what's that in the fog? It looks like a ship!" "She looks like a ghost ship!" "Aye, risen from the dead to sink us!" My favourite of the Legendary Ships from Black Flag, the HMS Prince. The idea of battling a ghost ship in dense fog was amazing, even though it was technically the easiest Legendary Ship.
Being bombarded with mortar fire from all sides, only catching a terrifying glimpse of the ship in a flash of lightning, is just an experience I wish I could have for the first time again in that game.
for me it's the la dama negra, with prince you know where the mortars will land, not with the negra, and it's armor prevents you from landing shots on its broadside, requiring you to rely on your steering skills.
@@sparshgarg3789 La Dama Negra pissed me right off because my primary tactic is running away from Legendary ships in the direction of the wind whilst murking them with mortars. La Dama Negra wasn't having any of it.
Morrigan also has Mortars… the weapon specs of the Morrigan (Sloop-of-War) is 34 Broadside Cannons (17 on each side), 4 Puckle Guns, 4 Carronades, Burning Oil, and 2 Mortars as well as an Ice-Breaker Ram. It also has the ability to fire twice in quick succession before reloading. Which basically means you’re getting hit by 34 cannons per volley. The Jackdaw (Brig) has 46 Broadside Cannons (23 on each side), 4 Chaser Cannons, 2 Swivel Guns, 160 Fire Barrels; deploying 4 at a time, 25 Volleys of Heated Shot, and 20 Mortars rounds as well as a Naval Ram. It also has iron-plating reinforcement which helped tremendously in dealing with Man-O’-Wars.
Between all these ships I can say these things: -The Jackdaw, the Morrigan, and the Adrestia are the stand out ships with being able to use them in free roam and throughout the story in the main game. The Experto Crede I mainly remember it being a ship you use in Freedom Cry and then fight in AC Rogue and it's flag having a unique C symbol on it. And the Aquila is used in a lot of missions (ex. Story, Peg Leg, Naval, etc.) and even in Tyranny of King Washington but is only exclusive to missions and no free roam. -The Jackdaw and the Adrestia took the longest to upgrade. Upgrading the Jackdaw involved doing the diving bell sections to get the upgrade plans and the Adrestia required getting WAY TOO MANY RESOURCES which Ubisoft pretty much did to encourage microtransactions. -Between the Jackdaw and the Morrigan, I would say the Morrigan had the best weapons overall with the burning oil, the carronades, the ice ram, and the puckle gun being able to shoot more shots whether during ship combat or when boarding. The Morrigan also probably got the biggest accomplishment out of the five ships in this list with taking down the Storm Fortress, alongside 2 other legendary ships. Though I like the look of the deck of the Morrigan the least out of the five ships since the wood looks the same with no texture on it. -The flame thrower on the Adrestia is a nice touch, alongside getting multiple lieutenants on your ship like the protagonist's mother and having a place to store gear. -I wish the chain shots on the Jackdaw actually took down the masts of other ships like the chain shots on the Aquila did. -The Jackdaw and the Adrestia have the best quartermasters and even some of the best characters in their respective games: Adewale and Barnabas. It's a shame you lose Adewale near the end of the story. The Aquila does have a good quartermaster as well but not as memorable, Gist in AC Rogue is memorable but not much of a stand out character to me, and I can't remember the quartermaster in Freedom Cry aside from his design. -I would say the Jackdaw is my overall favorite ship since I feel the most attached to it from using it throughout the story of Edward's journey and especially using it much in free roam with the naval being so fun. The Morrigan is second with its powerful weapons, the Adrestia is third with its Greek design and it being set in Greece, the Aquila is fourth with its involvement in multiple missions and introducing naval gameplay unless you count the Leonardo mission in AC Brotherhood, and the Experto Crede is fifth with being captained by Adewale and making appearances in AC Rogue but basically being the Jackdaw reskinned.

I don’t know if you realize this but the Morrigan’s cannon’s are designed to shoot 2 consecutive shots without reloading pretty much doubling the cannon count
Honestly I’ve just started Rogue after doing a black flag and freedom cry playthrough. I was kinda disappointed in Freedom cry’s upgrades compared to the jackdaw. The fully upgraded jackdaw is the coolest looking so far. I like how the cabin is 2 stories which means an extra row for cannons. I was kinda sad when I was the Morrigan side by side with Experto Crede to see that the morrigan seemed much smaller. And seeing how well the Experta Crede looked in 4K 60 fps it made me wish I could see the Jackdaw in all her glory. I might change my mind about the Morrigan when I start customizing her. I love that she automatically gets red sails eventually as those are the sails I always use on the Jackdaw.

I’ve been waiting for a video like this for ages I wonder if you could do top 10 enemy ships or ships that you fight also although the jackdaw is my favourite I think the Morigan is the most powerful
I only wish they made the ships more realistic even slightly. Every ship had waaaaay more guns than they should have and had weird rigs. Jackdaw should've been three-masted and ship-rigged, same for the Aquila, Morrigan should've been rigged like a schooner and downsized. Overall, I'd say Jackdaw got the closest to being realistic.
Have you ever encounter the storm fortress in A.C rogue?? This legendary ship is a total nightmare. More powerful than the likes of el impoluto or la dama negra in A.C IV: Black Flag.
Its hard to argue. I like the Morrigan, the Jackdaw, and the Adrestia. I cant chose between them. Its all awesone. Though I definitely liked the puckle gun better. And the Morrigan was easier ti upgrade.
Aquilla as a Super frigate and a much more modern ship would historically beat all of the other ships. There has been cases of smaller ships beating larger ones in the past, but it was a very rare experience. Example is HMS speedy (brig) vs El Gamo (frigate).
Simple. Jackdaw - bigger Morrigan - faster/easy to maneuver Jackdaw - more iconic Morrigan - more fun In Morrigan, You can unleash ram ability earlier in the game. Explosive shot deals more damage and reload way faster than chain shot. Burning oil is overpowered it deals 200-300 fire damage per second.
I’ll say it my favorite game has the best ship being the morrigan also unrelated I noticed in ac syndicate that if you listen when a guard finds a dead body they will say rest in peace in Italian like ezio. I thought it was very cool
Try to make a Main theme ranking video for every assassin's creed videogame till mirage soo far or at least include from Assassin's creed Codename Red after it comes out
Surprised the adrestria wasnt in last place... Edit: 3rd place wow normally ac odyssey in any top 5/top 10 ranking of AC youtubers rank at the end of the list. Color me surprised. Personally I like its design not so much the gameplay. Though I will say naval combat gets easy moded if you get the flamethrower from the third legacy of the first blade dlc. Beyond that the highlight of the adrestria was hearing the interactions between kassandra/alexios, herodotos, and barnabas. Those conversations you hear in between missions really helps getting you attached to those characters.
Personally i preffer morrigan over jackdaw same as rogue over black flag. Simply because jackdaw's barrels are annoying to set up and the enemy cans teer away from them, fire from morrigan that is a different tale as the enemy ships desperately try to halt to avoid the flames
The Morrigan is the best ship. It handles the best is the fastest and is captained by the best captain shae. Edward with all his fan fair was a horrible captain. Adie left cause he didnt care for anyone but himself, he sent his crew into hell. Multiple times he proved hes a horrible leader. However Shae never got told he's a bad captain never lost his first mate do to inconvenience. So in a fire fight the Jackdaw loses to the Morrigan. And the puckle guns are broken on the Morrigan and the fire oil is better cause it leaves a strip of fire rather then a barrel. Maybe me whos played thousands of hours on Black Flag and Rouge is wrong but i don't think so. Its a bit smaller but the Jackdaw is at the bottom of the ocean while the Morrigan never left Shaes hands till his death. Its clearly the best ship.
1. Honestly playing both black flag and Rouge side by side I can say they have the same handling and speed 2. Adewale left because he wanted to become a assassin and not stay a pirate 3. Edward kenway never left his crew. The times were he did was when he was basically abandoned by them 4. The puckle cannons being broken is balancing issue 5. The history of the Morrigan is unknown, who knows maybe it to was destroyed after Rouge we don't know you can't compare the endurance of a ship built in the early 1700s to a ship built in in mid 1700s
@@silencio9425 wtf you on about? i love odyssey i love all ac games except for valhallah and syndicate. my only point is that a ship with cannons would objectively annihilate a trireme and the adrestia as a trireme.
@BrutallHawk what I mean is they are on different time and technology so considering more or less 1.8k years of technological gap its by no means can fight with the other ship on this list but if you see it by their own time and adrestia gaining a Greek fire in one of the quest I think it's pretty powerfull not considering jackdaw is only a frigate and morrigan only a sloop of war considering that the biggest ship on their era is first rate ship of the line, so I think the most dangerous here in their own respective era is adrestia
What about eviors longship it isn’t the most well equipped but it’s quick and you can shoot arrows from it also the ship doesn’t have a name so it’s kinda make scenes that it’s not in the list
i always wanted to keep my queen ans revenge ship frome blackbeard. A bit biger then the jackdaw and smaller then those huge man of war ships. sry for my language not a native speaker and a bit drunk while typing this comment.
The great jackdaw is the best my reason why it was best is because it was built by a pirate and not a assassin or a Templar or was ever kassandra is and it matters on who is saling the shit it does not matter how strong it is if Ed takes morigan and Shay takes jackdaw kewan will beat him in easily or even if the morigan has armor and jackdaw does not if kenway is saling jackdaw Morrigan has no chance
@@Sidions Spanish navy did build Eldorado which was then named jackdaw but the armor and Canons and the ram everything was build by kenway. Btw every ship in franchise is stolen no one made there own ship they upgraded it never made it

I feel like there needs to be a disclaimer for children who might think these ships are historical. The way it is narrated makes it seem like they actually existed and were involved in real battles.
U forgot assassin's creed valhalla longship???! It can sail open waters around England and Norway and rivers in England, just like the morgan in rogue. If u gonna do a ranking of all sailable ships include all
A longship... no combat capabilities, the size of a car, weak, no canons, no defence.. I think you should look up longships in the viking times because they are very very weak.
It can fire arrows like the odyssey ship and the crew use shields to cover from attack. It might not but as power as other ships but it has 1 advantage in real world that the other ships cant do. When the ship runs out of water to sail or a water fall they would literally either take it apart or drag it to the nearest body of water. Its a raiding ship and explorations ship in 1. Plus they can go under bridges. Not powerful but fast. Hit and run like the Mongols and the Mongols ruled alot of territory with their hit and run tactics. Thats how the nords got land and brought the king to his knees. Hit and run. If the Mongols and nords teamed up they would rule the known world back them
Also, Assassin's Creed 3 ship cant be used outside of missions. So y didnt u include Assassin's Creed orgins aya ship? I loved the drum beats that aya's had to keep the rowers in pace. If they added drum beats to odyssey ship it would be 11/10 in my opinion.
Sailing the Jackdaw listening to Leave Her Johnny and then attacking another ship and Kenway shouting Bring'em down to hell, lads!!

I remember when I was younger I was sad because jackdaw or morrigan Their size was not big
Jackdaw for the win
I swear if it’s not number 1
Someone isn’t gonna make it to the next video 😒
So the mystery of this list is about what is 2nd-through-5th.
Of course what else other the Jackdaw would be 1st?
Can You make a Video where You Rank every Assassin's Creed dlc from worst to best because I think that would be a very cool Video
I clicked the video before the thumbnail loaded, these were not the kind of ships I was thinking of lmao
I would say the Jackdaw, but with Odyssey being such a lengthy game, I spent more time on the Adrestia and grew much more attached to it.
Simple.
Jackdaw - bigger
Morrigan - faster/easy to maneuver
Jackdaw - more iconic
Morrigan - more fun
In Morrigan, You can unleash ram ability earlier in the game.
Shay is on something
and whatever it is, I need it for my exams.
People don't love aquila cuse they didn't like connor but aquila is the fastest biggest and strongest ship in the whole AC series with a huuuuuge gap
Try to make a Main theme ranking video for every assassin's creed videogame till mirage soo far or at least include from Assassin's creed Codename Red after it comes out
Bro Aquila was a frigate with battale ram bigger then jackdaw or morrigan . In what category you found it smaller in size.
Morrigan Ram look intimidating than other ships
Surprised the adrestria wasnt in last place...
Edit: 3rd place wow normally ac odyssey in any top 5/top 10 ranking of AC youtubers rank at the end of the list. Color me surprised. Personally I like its design not so much the gameplay. Though I will say naval combat gets easy moded if you get the flamethrower from the third legacy of the first blade dlc. Beyond that the highlight of the adrestria was hearing the interactions between kassandra/alexios, herodotos, and barnabas. Those conversations you hear in between missions really helps getting you attached to those characters.
The fake ending for jackdaw was perfect 😂
mucho agreeable list
i want to see jackdaw vs morrigan edit
You said the Aquila is smaller than the rest of the ships on the list, but isn't it the largest since its basically a frigate/brig hybrid?
Top 3 ships that can literally bring down a Man o War,
Aquila
Morrigan
Jackdaw
Adrestia if kassandra do it alone
Adrestia if kassandra swam to it
Headcanon is the Aquila is still roaming the seas for assassins
The Morrigan had puckleguns and it's fire is better than barrels. How is the jack daw better?
Personally i preffer morrigan over jackdaw same as rogue over black flag.
Simply because jackdaw's barrels are annoying to set up and the enemy cans teer away from them, fire from morrigan that is a different tale as the enemy ships desperately try to halt to avoid the flames
What oufit is he using with the flame
Its clearly the best ship.
shay did lose the morigan once when he betrayed the assassins but overall i also say that
1. Honestly playing both black flag and Rouge side by side I can say they have the same handling and speed
2. Adewale left because he wanted to become a assassin and not stay a pirate
3. Edward kenway never left his crew. The times were he did was when he was basically abandoned by them
4. The puckle cannons being broken is balancing issue
5. The history of the Morrigan is unknown, who knows maybe it to was destroyed after Rouge we don't know you can't compare the endurance of a ship built in the early 1700s to a ship built in in mid 1700s
what is your definition of best? because the adrestia would be utterly annihilated by all the others on this list.
Hmm let's see your the one of the "OG" who cry about anything on TH-cam if you see newer ac game is not on the bottom
@@silencio9425 this is exactly why i asked what his definition of "best" means in this video.
I always considered the Morrigan as the Sword of the North cause it's ram.
I kind of wish you could use your ship more in AC3, I don’t recall it being useable outside of missions
The Aquila is literally man o war fully upgraded
The jackdaw is just too iconic.
what about the one from origins?
We all know it was going to come down to ether the Morgan or the Jackdaw.
Well The Jackdaw has something that the other ships don't have
Its that Ram perk you get after you finish fighting the Legendary Ships
"the the" classic. 💀
Morrigan
Acquila
Jackdaw/experto crede
U forgot the boat in Valhalla
The aquila is a more Historically, accurate ship Compared to the otherones
I dunno it's really hard to rank the ships...I really like the combat in Odyssey...I can't really choose between the Morigan, Jackdaw or Adrestia
ThE AqEEla My bOy!!!
i used to think the aquila is the biggest ship we ever got
JACKKDWA IS THE GOAT 🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥🔥
Really Conners ship is small for my eyes it look like more long or about the same Sid’s as the jackdaw
AC IV is GOATED. The best ever Assassins Creed game
You should make a video about the most useless missions from each assassins creed
That's quite hard tbh. Can't really think of any useless missions off the top of my head
@@TheHiddenOne690 true
Ngl, retrial, Morrigan should be 1
1 minute gang still saying i belive in you you are finne be Big man like sometime soon
Edward didn't build the ship. He stole it from the spanish navy who built it
@@Sidions Spanish navy did build Eldorado which was then named jackdaw but the armor and Canons and the ram everything was build by kenway. Btw every ship in franchise is stolen no one made there own ship they upgraded it never made it
@@mini_seal4650 true true
Is assassins creed pirates on mobile canon? if it is i believe the emperor of the seas is the best ship in the entire franchise just look at the ram and size of that thing
1.goatgan
2.jackdaw
3.experto
4.aquila
5.kassandra’s ship
I feel like there needs to be a disclaimer for children who might think these ships are historical. The way it is narrated makes it seem like they actually existed and were involved in real battles.
Looks wise morrigan's design is best
Morrigan and Aredestia the best. I don't like the Jackdaw looking at all, mayabe full upgraded with those gold cannons and ship armor, mayabe a bit :)
I don’t know where you got the informations for the Jackdaw but it’s definitely not 60m long
according to the wiki, it actually is
The storm fortress is the best ship!!
You forgot the little row boats in ac2
Absolutely top tier
Those got me out of so many sticky situations
I like the one from origins
Morrigan ❤❤❤
I never knew ac3 had naval combat
