  • If you want to show your support: buymeacoffee.com/lndcruzin I'm talking about a secret that has been in the 4wd community for a while but has not hit the main stream of you tube, there's not many videos on TH-cam about these because we 80 series owners want to keep this secret all to ourselves and we don't want anyone else to know.
In this video I will be telling you why its been the best kept secret and why its the best offroad vehicle to ever be sold in the US Market.
The 80 series for the longest time was over looked mainly because of the minivan style look and because it looked like a vary ordinary car it looked very basic. These were also almost always driven by moms in suburban neighborhoods so not many people wanted to be seen driving in them.
Fast forward to today, the 80 series land cruiser is now seen as beautiful vehicle and more and more people want to buy them. prices are increasing.
Unfortunately It feels like the secret is out and more and more people are buying the 80 series land cruisers and prices continue to skyrocket. It honestly feels like we are currently at a sweet spot with the 80 series land cruiser. We have some people that are asking reasonable prices and some people asking extreme prices and other people just trying to get rid of theirs. So if you are patient you could have one for a great price and it could even be a special edition.
    1. The 80 Land Cruiser was the best off-road vehicle ever to be sold in US Markets hands down, in terms of reliability, off-road capability and overall ruggedness the land cruiser was built to survive in extreme desert temp. Able to cross muddy swamps climb mountains and go virtually anywhere. They made them so well that the engine was built to last, they designed the engine to be rebuilt up to 3 times and last up to 600k Miles. It's very common to see LC's with 300k and 400k miles and still running strong.
    2. "Built Factory Axles" The axles on the 80 series 91-97 are comparable to a Dana 60 Axle in terms of capability ruggedness and how much of a beating these Axles will take (If you are unfamiliar with the Dana 60 these are the axles most jeep guys will upgrade to, they range anywhere from 1500 - 3000 dollars each and that is not including lockers. And just to bring home the point as to how solid these Land Cruiser axles are in 2021 Wrangler with Dana 44 axles can only take 36 inch tires, the land cruiser can take up to 37s and that was 31 years ago.
    3. Capability of the 80 Series Land Cruiser. It was the most capable off-road vehicle ever to come out of the factory, there was the option to add front and rear lockers at the factory and thus making it the king of the 4WD. You could also fit 33s on stock suspension which would make it the most capable off road vehicle that could go up 3 tire sizes without loosing off-road capabilities.

Dad just bought a red 1995 fj80 land cruiser, 178k miles, Florida car with literally ZERO rust. Only issues are the odometer is broken, alongside the antenna and driver side motor for adjusting the seat. Interior could use a new steering wheel, seats, and a deep clean. Everything else is fine though, no scratches, no fading. All for under 10k. My dream SUV, which I will work on until I get my license early 2022. Then it will be my daily and overlander.

I have a 94 with 318k miles on it. Have not done much to it and have had it many years. Head gasket was done around 285k, due to overheating issues. I replaced it myself had the head shaved to make sure it was flat and put new valve stem seals in. Been my most reliable vehicle, I keep up regular maintenance and the thing is flawless. I did have to replace the factory alternator, and rebuilt the power steering pump. Other than those things it is stock and a very solid truck. Still has the original exhaust.

Not a secret to anyone who knows anything about wheeling. It’s no secret😄. That was a ton of money back then. The iron pig was a different model year. I paid 28 k for new one in 91 and that jumped to 42k when I got my 93. Each dealer was lucky to get two a year. The iron pig was a different model year. My 91 was sold before I finished paperwork for my 93. A couple just happened to drive in and bought it thinking it was new one😆

I CAN YOUR SUV WASNT TAKEN CARE OF. THAT THE THING ABOUT LAND CRUISER THEY ARE WELL BUILT AN THE STILL RUN WHEN THERE DAMAGED. PEOPLE RUN THEM AN RUN THEM UNTIL ITS REALLY TIME TO FIX THEM AN ITS TO LATE. THERES A REASON WHY YOU DONT SEE TO MANY OF THIS AN REPAIR COST AN PRICE WERE TWO OF THEM. WHEN THIS LAND CRUISERS WERE BUILT THERE WERE BUILT IN JAPAN AN FOREIGN VEHICLE HAD A HIGHER COST TO FIX. NOW ITS 30 SOMETHING YEARS LATER AND WHAT YOU THINK IS GOING TO BE LIKE NOW IF YOU CAN FIND SOMEONE TO FIX IT. BEEN THERE AN DONE THAT AN IM LETTING YOU NO. ITS NOT A IF BUT WHEN AN HIGH END PART GONNA BREAK SO GET RID OF IT WHILE ITS STILL RUNNING.
