I kinda like how they stuck to that instead of making all of them just comic relief characters. The whole cast is out of there head insane, but they all have very commendable traits too. Scout is physically fit far beyond anyone else, the Medic is a genius, the Engineer is a genius, Spy is well... the only one not totally bonkers, the Heavy is educated and physically extremely strong etc.

tf_taunt_first_person 1 and cl_first_person_uses_world_model 1 does this but it doesn't actually attach the camera to your head, you can see through your body, etc
If only taunts had a small chance to completely fail, ex: Battin' a Thousand, he accidentally flips it in the air and it hits his head then he picks it up rubbing his head
You can sort of do this in-game with the commands cl_first_person_uses_world_model 1 and tf_taunt_first_person 1, this forces taunts to be played with the thirdperson model and in first person, with the caveat that it doesn't follow the head, you still control the camera
It'd be pretty neat if there was a toggle in settings for first-person taunts, and the taunt animations were adjusted a bit to be optimized for that when the toggle is enabled.
Bet if Valve gave the source code to the community that they would have it fixed and refined within 6 months along with a bunch of polished features that I never knew I want (like this)
I can't explain to anything in this universe how creepy and how much 1st person view models like the ones demonstrated in this video are. I am going to shit myself and try to kill myself if I wake up one day through the lens of 1st person scout view model. The echoes, uneasiness and emptiness and feeling that there is something waiting to tear you is worse than any horror game or movie. It reminds me of those old SFM gmod horror videos that people used to make that are forgotten in time. The thought that these mercenaries have to be a puppet ragdoll as they are controlled by people over the internet, getting slaughtered everyday, facing war every minute. They can't resist the control that the buttons have on them, they can't escape. Someone please find this relatable. Just thinking about this is making me so uneasy.
