What happened is that Creem got hit and so his model (along with its collision box and hitboxes) shifted away from the coffin. It's why you can see the Demo go inside the coffin as he swings again. The sword hit the wall.
Doing the Coffin strat on Halloween mode is obscene since the Coffin straight up looks like an in game prop on certain maps. I would definitely do a part 2 of this when Scream Fortress 2024 comes out.

The box is bright and always has a team color associated with it, making it stand out on most maps. The coffin, on the other hand, is a neutral color and texture, able to blend into darker props on more maps, if in the right spot... also no team colors. Also at certain angles enemy sentries will target you, but shoot ABOVE YOU, being able to waste its ammo. It's insane.

On 2fort, when this taunt was relatively new, I realized this, and so through the means of dealing damage and than healing him, we managed to get the spy to be almost completely across the room from where his coffin was. Good times.
can i just say having your "avatar" be just the robo soldier instead of your main played class with 3 unusuals is SO refreshing. along with how animated this little guy is i love watching him emote
@@subhuman2433 They already made Prop Hunt in TF2 a while back, it was an absolute disaster because of sentries, airblast, ubercharge, etc. They'd have to restrict most of the classes for it to be viable.

"The Cardboard Conniver" Disguise as a map prop + Silent cloaking and decloaking + No cloak charge is drained while active. + 3rd person camera while cloaked + Leaves a fake map prop in place when decloaking . Maximum of 3 fake props . Fakes are destroyed upon taking damage - 25% slower while cloaked - Not actually invisible - Lose all cloak charge upon decloaking "Ah this reminds me of my youth in the Militaires sans Frontieres..."
That was when I started playing this game. I started playing during Love and War. It feels like I'd been playing for a rather long time by the time Box Trot came out though. So strange how time feels different the older you get.
Someone tried to use this on High Tower to push the cart well trying to resemble a corpse. And they would have gotten away with it too, if I wouldn't have recognized this taunt. :3
when we were playing with my spymain friend he used that taunt to clutch through longer cp rounds or mess around with the cart. sometimes ppl wouldnt even notice him despite being on top of it lol, it was a lot of fun. happy to get a reminder of those times, ty for the great video !!
Funnily enough this strat works for the EXACT reason the boxtrot once worked. 1. New taunt not well known 2. Easy to overlook based on the aesthetics of the map design. 3. Unexpected Avenue of Point activation/negation. It is truly the spiritual successor. Condolences to anyone who tries this moving forward because now players will be looking for this prop for this exact reason.
Box is bugged. Half of the time I see spy crouched with his gun or knife pointing back at him. But coffin taunt is rare, usually works, and even if it doesn't spy just looks like a corpse on the ground.

The thing to surpass the boxtrot and the coffin taunts are the sadness taunt. On classes especially soldier who lays flat on the ground and the hitbox is dead center it makes it 10X funnier when people glance over you
on oddysey the last point can be blocked by going to the panel of lights on the far corner fot he capture point and laying down. your head just stops the capture.

A tip for the VRC sections: you can remove the jitter that is caused by local tracking by using the interpolator program that someone made. I don't remember the name, but looking up "vrc fix jitter" should be good enough. The other solution is to record it from another client lol

When I first got this and used i it on Mann Manor I immediately realised its potential. It's like a poor-man's cloak and dagger if you're stuck using the dead ringer on recharge as long as you know good spots to conceal yourself in. On Mann Manor there is this room with a lot of coffins in it, and you fit in really well in there on top of the pile. Also Pro-tip: just use the spy-cicle with the taunt because Pyros will randomly flame and mess you up a lot of the time. This will give you some hope of surviving random flame.
Just want to say, your animated persona as Robot Soldier is AWESOME! I love how expressive it can be, even without a "face." It really made the video enjoyable to see your character in a unique way! Not to mention, the editing was GREAT! It's paced really well :D On the other hand, this was quite the video! Really informative and entertaining! I feel like Spy having the ability to disguise as props on any given map should have been a feature to his class from the very beginning.
+ can capture/block capture while disguised
- cannot move
- no critical hits
Maybe it could be an alt Disguise kit? You lose the ability to become players but you get a pick of a few props

If by jutter you mean the shakiness on the shoulders, that's just the model. It mimicks the shoulder shake of the mvm robots

This strat is BUSTED in the Zombie Survival mode. Just find a random out-of-the-way patch of dark grass and never be found again
