Ladies this is much bigger than the next season of Loki. Like this is the next BIG storyline for all the movies. This is THE guy, the next Thanos-level villain. That’s what makes this so exciting
Yea they probably just care about Loki and silvie relationship which I think made Loki irrelevant and weak in this show. He’s a god for crying out loud I know he’s change or whatever but give my boy a new power in season two
its more likely hes the next loki level villain and is the big bad for this phase and will probably show up sometimes later but i think they’re gonna introduce someone like doom in fantastic four
@@dihks He's literally one of the top 3 Fantastic 4 villains. When you think big f4 villains you think of Dr doom, galactus and kang. And with his multiple variants its fairly obvious they're setting him up to be the next major threat in the mcu, not just a loki and quantumania villain.
"It's gonna take like all next season." Nononononono I don't think you get it. This isn't some TV show one-season villain. This is someone Thanos would look to as HIS Thanos. This is Thanos's Thanos. He'll probably last at least a full phase, IF they decide to introduce Galactus later. If they are holding off on Galactus, he could be the next decade of Marvel.
Galactus got wrecked by Rick's Spaceship in the latest Rick and Morty episode. I know, we can't compare that, it was just a funny reference. But imagine Rick being in the Marvel Universe xD
I think he will be only this phases villain. Feige said he didnt want villains to span too many phases anymore like Thanos. They'll be limited to one phase from now on.
I just realised Something. He who remains is from the 31th century, that's when he found the multiverse. That means that before that everything that happened is part of his world history. Slavery, The world wars; Loki attacking earth; the infinity Saga already happened before he was born. That's how he knew that something should've happened, he based everything on his knowledge. If something diverge from his universe story it will create a branch so he has to make sure that those happens like it was supposed to happened. That's also mean that every choice that lead to him already happened before he got involved.
But because we’re dealing with time-travel, he was already manipulating different points in time (including points in the past) before he was even born. Maybe another reason why he manipulating the timeline to such an extent was because he wanted to create a timeline that mirrored his own timeline, which I theorize was destroyed as a result of the multiversal war. He (subconsciously or as a contingency plan in case things ended up a certain way) wanted to get back what he lost. Of course, I could be entirely wrong.
Yeah I wonder if antman is going to have the worse version of him or if they are going to have several versions of him showing up through the next few phases and the ultimate one showing up in the next avengers movie in phase 5 or 6
@@GladwinAbel that could make him interesting to watch. Like what can the avengers do to him if they kill him and he just comes back worst than before.
@@Spideymrw yea he’s really annoying in the comics. Iron man know how annoying he is. Always pop up anytime anywhere villains that can time travel sucks
The judge Ravonna Renslayer stated that only the person in charge has 'free will' and then she left to find 'free will'. She will join forces with a variant of He Who Remains.
since she is his gf or something in the comics from what I've heard, next season she'll be back with a Kang variant as his gf and consider him to be the true conqueror and Loki, Sylvie and Mobius will have to defeat them
@@noconaroubideaux9423 Yeah but Variants have some kind of common ground, it would've made sense if they showed that Renslayer was also a scientist. She knows she was a teacher (in the main timeline at least) and that's why she kept her school's pen.
@@elbruces You know that it is the Darkhold corrupting her and we know this because that thing corrupts everyone who reads it and that includes andriods just as Aida from Agents of Shield.
So ladies....He Who Remains is actually a variant of this really evil guy.......this guy is a Thanos-level multiversal villain. He is far above just a Season 2 villain, this guy will be the overarching villain across the next few Marvel phases, like how Thanos was Phase 1-3 villain. Kang the Conqueror is truly terrifying. The guy has more than time travel technology, he can travel between the multiverses and is genius beyond anything we've ever seen in the MCU (I gues...MCM now? Marvel Cinematic Multiverse?). Kang got so bored once that he just stole cities and civilizations from all across time and space and plopped them all down next to each other in his dimension, and called it Chonopolis. And fun fact, he is a long time descendant (being born in the 31st century) of Reed Richards, Mr. Fantastic himself. Those of us who know about Kang and his deeds in the comics know that what He Who Remains was doing perfectly justified his actions. Evil Kang variants? Definitely not something the multiverse wants or needs. Thanos is a pebble in comparison
In one comic series, Kang thought Doom was secretly a Kang variant in disguise, or was an ancestor of Kang, but it turned out neither was true. I believe it was Doom’s tech that Kang initially discovered that led him to ancient Egypt for his first time ruling on high
@John Spartan1117 he's not talking about on a combat level or strength level,Kang is a BIG threat that rivals if not surpasses Thanos or darkseid.he is not only equally smart in everyway but his vastly advance technology and grand knowledge of the multiverse makes him a HUGH threat.
This entire episode was just the dilemma of do you stick to the evil that you know or do you take the chance at the evil that you dont and either way there are no guaranties and there is no going back. I absolutely loved this finale thier ONE DECISION literally determined the fate of the entire universe and I am SOOOOO EXCITED
@@tabbypappy I think Kang will appear most of the mcu projects for example Doctor Strange 2, Fantastic Four, loki season 2, and Captain marvel 2 (Marvels). And some post credit scenes. My theory: What comes to Ant-man I hope that they lose and Kang captures team Ant-man. After that Cassie will assemble the Young Avengers to save her dad. The team should include Tommy and Billy Maximoff, Kamala Khan, Kate Bishop, Elijah Bradley, America chavez, Hulkling and Riri Williams or Harley Keener.
I like that observation that the Kang who was running the show was enlightened, and the sad part is that the TVA Loki also achieved his own enlightenment, and would have been the best possible person to take over from Kang.
So the actor for he who remains is Johnathan majors who was announced to be playing a well known comic character in the upcoming ant man movie. I'm not gonna say who it is for risk of spoiling something. He was a surprise in this show and i'm glad they didnt reveal Majors was in this show.
I mean it’s not a spoiler especially if the character he’s playing means nothing to you, the majority of people that knew the character were comic readers and if marvel had no issue saying who’s he’s playing then it’s fine
It’s not a spoiler when the company themselves came out and publicly said who this person is playing. That’s why it was such a cool reveal because everyone already knows he’s Kang so when he shows up here in Loki people lost their shit:D
People constantly bring up the "bigger picture" in this scene but from what everything we've seen and been told that would've meant Sylvie accepting that timelines and the countless people in it need to be constantly tossed to be devoured by Alioth which has been the weirdest thing hearing people are now suddenly okay with or have forgotten that that's the alternative she was given. There's no way in the world she would accept that
Yeah, I’ve seen a lot of people ignoring that fact. That entire timelines filled with innocent people are being constantly destroyed right now. People seem to only be acknowledging that the return of other Kang’s means potential wide scale death, but ignoring the fact that wide scale death is currently happening to prevent it. I’m with Sylvie on this one.
Yes and no I guess. I mean he told them to run it differently, so they could've made some changes. They could do that, but you're right it would be them doing the same thing to others that happened to them.
@@azazelop5223 the thing is a bunch of evil kangs battling for supremacy could destroy literally all universes and everyone in them forever. With this kangs method despite how extreme it is 1 universe and it’s people get guaranteed existence.
@@kamronspencer4910 That’s true, it COULD happen. But we don’t have a way of knowing if it will happen. And that doubt is even higher in the show for Sylvie since this is the dude at the head of an organisation built on lies. Both options lead to death, however one option gives free will and the possibility for all but one universe to be destroyed and the other option removes free will and there is a guarantee that all but one universe gets destroyed. For me, that choice is easy. The worst case scenario that comes from this is that the Kang’s will destroy universes and timelines that Loki and Sylvie would have destroyed anyway if they took control. If they take control, the outcome is the same, just with technically less bloodshed since they just get deleted by Alioth.
Immortus (He Who Remains) caused the destruction of all timelines but one. Just think of how many sentient beings he fed to Alioth to accomplish this. The mass murder he has committed dwarfs what Thanos did. The power he wields dwarfs Thanos, and he's just an ordinary human who is good at time travel and moving between dimensions.
@Joan 💯 True except it's not what Loki asked. He asked to wait so they can think and find another way, she betrayed him caused and caused the multiversal war. She did not think this through. He gave her choice there, a free will and she still played his game and did what he wanted. Like she said to Loki in episode 2 it wasn't about her.
It's also interesting because Wunmi Mosaku (Hunter B-15) is ALSO in Lovecraft Country. So many shared cast! Ok, it's 2, but still. But Lovecraft Country is f'in INTENSE. Very very good, but intense.
The crossing of the threshold kang mentioned was most likely Wanda becoming the scarlet witch and creating too many nexus events since she is a nexus being.
@@ceiii9287 there's alot of factors to come in play.. maybe it's wanda, maybe because tva were slowly falling apart, maybe because renslayer met up with another kang, maybe it crossed when both loki's started to have different views, etc.
Okay, so hear me out. Kang says he doesn't know how it's going to end, but then he removes his wrist tempad thingy and very deliberately moves it to the edge of table, which allows Silvie to grab it while fighting Loki. I think he knew what was going to happen and wanted Silvie to kill him. Then then there is Renslayer, who says she is going to search for 'free will', which pretty obviously means the one in charge, so Kang. And right before that she was communicating with Miss Minutes, who is under the control of Kang. I'm guessing that Kang planned his death and then is manipulating Renslayer to do something, either to bring him back or manipulate the timeline in the way he wants.
@Joan 💯 You cannot compare your experience with this. In the end, Sylvie just unleashed a worse fate for all existence by unleashing a more evil human being.
The voice actress Tara strong is doing an amazing job with the character,I too want her to stick around and want the show to expand into her backstory in season 2
@@mattlee7210 She really is! Expected of a veteran and highly decorated voice acting artist; and perfect casting. Miss Minutes is cute & educational (like the host of a toddler cartoon show) but her frowns are creepy and have a sinister feel to them which only gives her an aura of mystery. She (or maybe 'it' ? since she's an A.I. hologram) has a library of information about the TVA and whatever Kang chose to share with her, so it'd be a loss to not utilize all that useful data or something. I hope we see more of her outside of LOKI.
@@StarkRG Right 🤦🏾♂️, I was thinking more in the A.I. sense of her being. But of course she identifies as female, idk why I missed that, it answered my question for me 😂
i also think that what sylvie did is upsetting but totally in character, she wasnt going to ever listen to the one that ruined her life, she was driven by revenge. now i dont think this tva is in another timeline since the tva is suposed to be outside of time, he who remains created it to ensure he would win in the future (31st century) now that there are many timelines that future has changed and that changed the tva too, this is also a huge event for all of the mcu, the next dr strange movie is titled multiverse of madness probably dealing with all those branch timelines created here and the actor for he who remains will appear in the next ant man as kang the conqueror a variant of this character, it will be fun to see him around
Sylvie just gave us YEARS of stories from Marvel, Sony, FOX, everybody....the multiverse includes all of it. Any actor who ever appeared in a Marvel movie (even before the MCU) could turn up
this villain that we got introduced to is going to be a long-time villain for this phase, for different movies there might be a variant of Kang the Conqueror
"Doctor Strange is having a field day". Hmm, when I watched this I said something along the lines of that about Strange and all the Sanctum Santorum Sorcerers probably watching this shit and fucking losing it. Ontop of the fact that we just got introduced to Atticus as Kang The Conqueror.
"Hopefully there could be a good variant" about that... Sylvie just killed the "good" version lol. Kang makes Thanos look like a care bear. What we just learned in this finale is, Thanos was just a spec in the universe that Kang governed. I see it as this: big Thanos was a gangster running and feared by a small neighborhood, but 'He Who Remains' runs the entire planet from the shadows. Also, the gold in the interior design / architecture of He Who Remains' home kinda reminded me of Kintsugi art. The cinematography in LOKI was visually nice - credit to Autumn Durald (and her team) - and we'll be seeing more of her eye in the future since she's currently working on 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever'. I know little to nothing about the comics version (i'm goin in blind & learning just like y'all and many others are), but I like this MCU version & introduction to the first part of Kang's character. He's not a mutant, alien, nor super-powered enhanced soldier.. just a normal human, a nerd, a very highly intelligent human who figured out there were other universes, was able to prove his discovery, eventually met other versions of himself from those other universes and became friends with each other. (sorta like the Council of Ricks from Rick & Morty 😂) One evil version of him wanted to conquer all and that's who the big bad will be for the entire Marvel universe in Phase 4 moving forward. We've met him, but we haven't met _him_ yet. Jonathan Majors* (actor playing 'He Who Remains') was fantastic and I can't wait to see the sinister role and side to his character in the near future. * if you haven't seen Lovecraft Country, check it out when you have time, he's amazing as a lead in that also and the show is great; genre-blended fusion of horror/thriller, drama, science fiction, fantasy, gothic fiction, and a mix of real life/ history and social commentary. The cast is solid, and the show is well-written. Personally, this show made me crave more Black gothic fiction shows and movies. I want some Octavia Butler literature brought to life as well; especially sci-fi and afrofuturism.
There actually is another good version of him: Iron Lad. I know they're building up to the Young Avengers so I'm sure somewhere down the line we'll see a good version of Kang help try to take down his bad versions. I'm really looking forward to how this is all gonna play out. They can literally do anything now.
Isn’t He Who Remains technically Kang the Conqueror tho? Since he actually conquered the multiverse? And in Loki he’s just at the “end” of the story, so when the Conquerer shows up later, it will still be the same Variant, just him back at the “beginning”?
@@ZikenX I didn't know about Iron Lad being connected to Kang although I have heard that name mentioned before when learning about Riri Williams / Iron Heart. I'm too looking forward to this Phase; so many possibilities. It will be interesting seeing what the MCU does with the Young Avengers (or even the 'Champions'), and Kang's ancestor Reed Richards when "4" is introduced. Thanks for the info!
@@alexjames4770 Sorta yea, I think. All I know is he (Kang The Conqueror) will be played by the same person we were introduced to in this season finale. This eccentric character we were introduced to was Immortus. The statue we seen at the closing shot was Kang The Conqueror. He did mention (0:40) that through his lifetime many have called him that, and did say, "See you soon." So he possibly has all knowledge that all his variant's possess (akin to Naruto absorbing all the knowledge and memories of his Shadow Clones once they poof into smoke) and will remember all that happened since he's omniscience. I have limited knowledge of this whole storyline and how MCU will handle it, but I am intrigued.
The council of Ricks is based off of the similar concept from Marvel comics where Reed Richards (Fantastic Four) formed a council of himself using multiversal variants of himself. Marvel took this concept and applied it to Kang as well creating the council of Kangs. But the idea of the council of Ricks draws heavily from both the council of Reeds/Kangs both of which predate Rick and Morty. He who remains description of “cooperation between universes” sounds very much like the council of Kangs right up until Kang the Conqueror(s) show up wanting to rule/destroy the other universes.
Just so you know, The end of Loki is the one that opens for Marvel stage four. Movie Ant-Man, Movie Dr. Strange، And ninety one per 100 movie spider man. All this work is coming because of sylvie, We have to thank her. These are the movies that I'm sure are connected to the series Loki.
"A giant shark might attack!" I love y'alls out-there predictions every time it gets tense on a show. I don't think anything else caused the "passing the threshold" moment, it's just the point up to which he stopped making predictions. He allowed for a moment where he doesn't know what will happen next, because he didn't look in advance. That caused the timeline to start splitting, but it also let Loki and Sylvie work out what to do (either through negotiation or fighting or trickery or some combination of the above) without it being his decision because he already knew what they'd decide. He didn't, and two Lokis with character development fighting over a decision is about as random as you can get. I get the comment about Tom Hardy vibes. Jonathan Majors is making strong choices and giving a really quirky performance, which is something Hardy also tends to do. The best thing is that killing him means the same actor gets to come back with a completely different performance style - maybe more than one! And he just proved he can do just about anything, so I can't wait to see his next version/variant. Hell, I'd watch a show where he was the entire cast (maybe get a flashback to a bunch of variants of him complimenting each other and doing science together... including an alligator in purple robes). What Sylvie's choice did: gave us Ant-Man Quantum-Mania, Doctor Strange Multiverse of Madness, the "What If....?" show, and the opportunity to see what else Jonathan Majors gives us. This doesn't just set up next season of this show, it sets up a lot of the upcoming shows and movies at the same time. As an MCU viewer, I'm 100% with her on this, if only for meta/selfish reasons. But Sylvie did what she's always wanted to do: kill whoever's behind the TVA. She wasn't going to be talked out of that goal at the last minute. And her "free will or nothing" argument makes sense, given her history. Phase 4 is probably going to amount to figuring out how to prevent the universe from having to be either destroyed completely or being totally controlled by one person - finding a third option. We just got a preview for the next Thanos. However, I'd say Imon wins the bet - He Who Remains was a pretty decent guy, at least for being stuck in that conundrum. His variants? Probably not so much.
Tom Hiddleson acting in this was superb....the sense of urgency and desperation to plead with Silvie was damn good. The only other time I seen Loki terrified of someone was hella to a degree and this is way worse. Welcome Johnathan majors to the MCU lol
The TVA you know doesn't exist anymore. Loki landed into the TKE(Temporal Kang Empire) so now it is not a black owned company it is Imperial and we are all slaves under an emperor and his name is Kang The Conqueror.
The timeline is looped so Kang always comes back to discover the multiverse and win the multiverse war. Killing him meant time was reset. Kang was right to say 'see you soon.' The reset means a Kang will return and control the TVA, it's all down to what version won. The way to defeat Kang is to make sure the time loop is broken and make sure a version of Kang is left that is harmless, one that has no interest in physics. With a harmless Kang and a time line that isn't looped then free will with all the multiverse reset to normal. Dr Strange would have to imprison Kang in the mirror dimension and Scarlett Witch to straighten out the timelines with a harmless Kang left and the multiverses realigned by her back to normal.
12:30 The TVA exists outside of time, they just don't know him and there is a reason for that. TVA workers are members off the timeline but this Loki doesn't have a timeline, it was erased in the first episode. The whole Multiversal War happened and Kang now controls the TVA, the reason this didn't affect Loki is because he has no place on the timeline so anything that happens in it won't affect him.
I can see both sides. Honestly, I'd probably have done the same thing as Sylvie. "Taking away free will from everyone, forever? No, bastard, we'll take our chances with your variants, even if it means fighting them for all time."
I probably wouldn’t have because Loki is right. Remove the dictator and what fills the void? Chaos A void of chaos. Need an example? Look at Iraq and Afghanistan. Unless of course, you remove the dictator with an intelligently-created/well prepared deterrent or plan to counter any other dictators/chaotic situations from emerging which unfortunately no one in charge in our timeline over the past 30 years, or Sylvie in this instance have done.
@@mahadaalvi there was no time to think the branches was already forming she did right thing kill him. Now we can decided and plan how to stop his other variants.
lol... you say that but in reality you'd really get tired of fighting for all time... like people think they want to live forever, but once you get to the 90-100 year mark are you still feeling that way?
He Who Remains is a variant of Kang the Conqueror. Who is the BIg Bad Thanos level villain of the MCU moving forward over the next 5-10 years. And then we get the X-Men and get really serious 😁

Ravonna was a principal at FDR High in Ohio the year of the Snap! Mobius confronts Ravonna and he goes down like a chump! She departs through a portal with her Forbidden Knowledge in search of free will. What has Immortus directed her to do? Immortus shows the Loki pair the scripts of their lives, a drama he has authored! IMMORTUS tells the tale of 31st-century scientist NATHANIEL RICHARDS, the Council of Counterparts, the belligerence of KANG, the Multiversal War, how Alioth ended it and the reason bad things happen to good people. He offers the keys to the kingdom to the Loki duo. The script runs out, the threshold is crossed, the timeline begins to branch with possibilities and Immortus experiences the terrifying thrill of not knowing what comes next. Sylvie plunges her blade in Immortus' heart! He Who Remains dies with a wink and an ominous promise. At the TVA, Mobius and B-15 stare at a hopelessly frayed timeline. Heartbroken Loki desperately races to find Mobius to warn him of the incoming variants of Immortus. Mobius doesn't recognize Loki and mistakes him for a rattled analyst! It's 'A SOUND OF THUNDER' by Ray Bradbury! The world has already been irrevocably altered or the TVA has multiplied! An imposing statue of KANG THE CONQUEROR overlooks the TVA! The Multiverse of Madness, the Spider-verse, What Ifs, Quantumania and Secret Wars have all begun! Season 2 is announced! I cannot wait!
There is a theory out right now that the "threshold" that "He who Remains/Kang" talked about is actually Wanda seeing the different timelines. She is represented as the pinkish/reddish hue happening in the top-left circle in the background at 4:15 of your reaction. The theory is that WandaVision and Loki shows happen at the same time. So, when Wanda becomes the Scarlet Witch, is also when Loki crosses the threshold of what is unknown about the future.
sylive at the end of the day is still a loki and was bound to fuck up so now we got loki stuck in planet of the apes statue swamp land trapped with kang
I think Loki appeared right in front of Sylvie so that his shoulder hit her hand as it came down, rather than the blade hitting him. A perfect blocking move done using his Loki powers!
FYI there is an entire storyline where Loki and Wanda have to help and work with Strange in the comics. It’s one of my favorite runs. They’re basically the mean girls of magic and it is FABULOUS. Sassy queens the lot of them. With Wanda and Strange’s storylines intertwining in Multiverse of Madness, I don’t see any reason that they wouldn’t also throw Loki into the mix to bring the fans a favorite team up. Ya know, since a Loki did cause just about EVERY problem that is coming forward for phases 4 and 5. Just like I think they’re setting up a possible Team Red team up with Charlie (Daredevil) possibly being apart of Spider-Man : No Way Home, and Deadpool having started to make his way into the MCU. Y’all should watch the Deadpool Reacts trailer, it’s pretty great.
It's interesting that you come to that conclusion. I don't think Loki could ever not be Loki, even in a different universe. I just figured that either Mobius' memories were wiped or he was accidentally sent to a universe where Möbius either hasn't met him yet or doesn't know him at all in general. Literally anything could be possible now that the multiverse is released.
"Who are you?" 😭😭😭😭😭 That hurt a lot. This Mobius doesn't know Loki. Loki lost everything again, not even his friend knows him. Loved your reaction. In the comics there was a Loki, Doctor Strange and Wanda team up, it was awesome.
Ant man 3, Thor love and thunder, and doctor strange 2... gonna be wild Kang The Conqueror is gonna give it to the MCU no lube BTW yall hair in this episode is immaculate
This variant is called "He Who Remains", I do believe he had been doing this for eons. "Kang the Conqueror" variant is much different and not as pure heart. Loki has had a major character development.
What is breaking my mind with this episode, is not just the choice. We only have he-who-remains' word that it will always end out like this. What if this is just an elaborate plan and he found the exact way to carry it out? Maybe he was beaten again and again and found out exactly how he could win? This is not just pure speculation IMO. Notice how he keeps jabbing at Sylvie and Loki to create distrust and provoke Sylvie to kill him. He is not working to have them both take over, but instead to split them apart (possibly to do with the extreme Nexus event on Lamentis). There is also the shot of him taking off the "Tempad" and putting it on the table. The shot makes it look like he still has it on... like he is still in control. Everything he does is designed to split these two apart and get killed. I think he is powerful for sure, but he is stuck there and actually looking for a way to conquer all the universes. I think it makes more sense (and a better story) than having two nearly equally horrible choices. For the record, I think the choice to free the timeline is not wrong. At least it gives them a chance vs being held "captive" in this one timeline all controlled by 1 person.
I know it's late to comment... But I want you to read this Imon_Snow. I don't see this variant of Kang as evil, although of course, the other variants of her will be much more creepy. But, returning with the variant of him. Its talking point...about if there is no control, or a balance in the timeline, it could collapse all the branches in the multiverse and you will not have control itself. And there would be worlds like; Marvel Zombies, Secret Wars and Venom-Verse etc.
Thanos is like the ultimate power. At his peek, if it wills it so, he can make it happen with a snap of his fingers. Kang is the ultimate knowledge. If it has happened, is happening, or can happen, he has known it already.
I like the twist that this was all done on purpose because the guy in charge was just tired. Tired of watching everything and doing the work for eternity. It just makes sense. This is probably going to be apart of the next doctor strange movie, and spider man movie considering their titles.
You do know that Kang is only as powerful as he is thanks to his time tech. You take that away from him he is just a weakling human from the 31st century. He is a Thanos level only on the surface.
@@JustTooDamnHonest I meant he was the same as thanos in the way that it will probably take 10 + movies to defeat and he will be the one that brings everyone together and plus yeah everybody knows kang is basically powerless without his technology
Awesome reactions for this whole series. My money is on that Ravonna did something to change the TVA so she could be in charge. Maybe He Who Remains gave her some info that would enable her to fight the other Kangs too.
This episode actually means that Iron Man, Vision and Scar Jo could all return to the MCU even if only as a cameo! Probably won't happen, but it could!
Good discussion like always, but you guys talked / skipped over in the video one of my favorite interactions around 4:15. I really liked "He who remains" almost snapping at Sylvie when she says 'It was personal to me'. Him telling her to 'Grow up' and pointing out that she's not much better than him and her reasons for doing similar evils is arguably *less* justified than his hit hard, to me at least
This isn't just leading to Season 2. First there's What If? to give us a look at the multiverse, then Spiderman: No Way Home which is supposed to have at least one, maybe two other versions of Spiderman, them Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness, then Ant Man: Quantumania. Not sure where the second season of Loki is going to fit in there. There might also be a second season of What If? from what I've heard
This will be big for the MCU as a whole going forward! Jonathan Majors (He Who Remains) is playing Kang the Conqueror in Ant Man 3. However, many versions of this character can happen at this point with all the variants around and the multiverse. Can’t wait to see the implications of it next season, in Doctor Strange, Spider-Man, and more.
This series is completely setting up to change the MCU from here on out, and we have at least 6 movies and 4-5 television series coming out between now and Loki: Season 2. Therefore, if you ask me, Season 2 may not have very much to do with Season 1 at all depending on what happens in the multi-verse between now and then.

The guy in the castle was dressed to imply that he was Immortus.
The statue was wearing the costume of one of the really bad conquerors.
"It's gonna take like all next season."
Nononononono I don't think you get it. This isn't some TV show one-season villain. This is someone Thanos would look to as HIS Thanos. This is Thanos's Thanos. He'll probably last at least a full phase, IF they decide to introduce Galactus later. If they are holding off on Galactus, he could be the next decade of Marvel.
Will they introduce astroregulator thanos ,living tribunal and cosmic enties like eternity.
I genuinely think Kang variants are going to be the villains of most upcoming Marvel stuff which is such a cool idea
Galactus got wrecked by Rick's Spaceship in the latest Rick and Morty episode. I know, we can't compare that, it was just a funny reference. But imagine Rick being in the Marvel Universe xD
I laughed when they kept talking about just the next season. I was like oh, they really don’t understand how major this is lol. Love them tho
I think he will be only this phases villain. Feige said he didnt want villains to span too many phases anymore like Thanos. They'll be limited to one phase from now on.
Kang the Conqueror isn't a Loki Season 2 problem...
He's a whole MCU level problem
Facts 💯
Avengers level threat perhaps?
@@cole_world5739 he is a thanos-level threat if not bigger!
@@mattlee7210 thanos is a fetus compared to kang.
The worst version of this guy will be in the next Antman. Kang the Conquerer. He may be popping up in any MCU property as a variant now.
Yeah I wonder if antman is going to have the worse version of him or if they are going to have several versions of him showing up through the next few phases and the ultimate one showing up in the next avengers movie in phase 5 or 6
They could use him for a couple movies since the multiverse is vast and there’s a infinite number of him like SpiderMan
Kang is an annoying villain u defeat one and the other comes knocking at ur doorstep.
…well, a variant of him. :)
since she is his gf or something in the comics from what I've heard, next season she'll be back with a Kang variant as his gf and consider him to be the true conqueror and Loki, Sylvie and Mobius will have to defeat them
She could even look for the variant that is destined to become He Who Remains
What if Renslayer is a variant of Kang? If you're someone with a god complex, who would you put in charge of the TVA? Probably yourself.
@@noconaroubideaux9423 Yeah but Variants have some kind of common ground, it would've made sense if they showed that Renslayer was also a scientist. She knows she was a teacher (in the main timeline at least) and that's why she kept her school's pen.
Somewhere, Doctor Strange is wondering why he suddenly has a bad feeling about something.
And Wanda just heard her kids while she was doing some light reading.
I wonder if strange saw this coming. when he was doing his vision in infinity war
Between Wanda and Sylvie, poor Strange is going too have his hands full, and he has no time stone.
@@elbruces You know that it is the Darkhold corrupting her and we know this because that thing corrupts everyone who reads it and that includes andriods just as Aida from Agents of Shield.
either a bad feeling or a MASSIVE headache
I thought he was Victor Von Doom's descendant. He even shows up in Dr Dooms last solo.
No matter what they had chosen, Kang had rigged himself to win either way.
Nope
Kang isn't a problem for this show
He's a problem for the whole MCU
He who remains a.k.a variant of Kang the conqueror who is the villain of Ant-man 3 and most likely will be the new big bad like Thanos was.
I am gonna guess the TVA is in the quantum realm (which exists outside of time)
@@dmann05 you don’t need to guess when that’s true. They do exist outside of time, been confirmed since the beginning
I'm wondering how big of a threat Kang could be if Ant-Man & The Wasp are all that's needed to dance with him.
@@tabbypappy I dont think they are going to defeat him I just think they are going to survive just to tell everyone how fucked shit bout to be
@@tabbypappy I think Kang will appear most of the mcu projects for example Doctor Strange 2, Fantastic Four, loki season 2, and Captain marvel 2 (Marvels). And some post credit scenes.
My theory:
What comes to Ant-man I hope that they lose and Kang captures team Ant-man.
I'm pretty sure most people who know anything Marvel know who he's supposed to be. He basically dropped a big hint himself in the episode.
There's no way in the world she would accept that
It’s a lose lose situation tbh
"Do you believe you can escape me before I arrive? How do you expect to outrun me when I am already here?" - Lord English
i love when He Who Remains throws Sylvie's past back at her and calls her a murderer and a hypocrite. Nobody seems to put it in their reactions
He is one of the most intelligent people to ever exist as well to be fair, far beyond a ordinary person.
You guys need to watch Lovecraft Country! The lead actor is Jonathan Majors, the guy who plays Kang (He Who Remains) in this episode
Agreed! Such a great show and Jonathan Majors is so talented, he's going to be a household name in the future for sure
It's also interesting because Wunmi Mosaku (Hunter B-15) is ALSO in Lovecraft Country. So many shared cast!
Ok, it's 2, but still.

@@chelseaaudreyy Loki will be in Dr. Strange 2.

She (or maybe 'it' ? since she's an A.I. hologram) has a library of information about the TVA and whatever Kang chose to share with her, so it'd be a loss to not utilize all that useful data or something. i also think that what sylvie did is upsetting but totally in character, she wasnt going to ever listen to the one that ruined her life, she was driven by revenge. now i dont think this tva is in another timeline since the tva is suposed to be outside of time, he who remains created it to ensure he would win in the future (31st century) now that there are many timelines that future has changed and that changed the tva too, this is also a huge event for all of the mcu, the next dr strange movie is titled multiverse of madness probably dealing with all those branch timelines created here and the actor for he who remains will appear in the next ant man as kang the conqueror a variant of this character, it will be fun to see him around
Sylvie just gave us YEARS of stories from Marvel, Sony, FOX, everybody....the multiverse includes all of it. Any actor who ever appeared in a Marvel movie (even before the MCU) could turn up
A another good 9 years at least.
God I hope it doesn't include Fox
this villain that we got introduced to is going to be a long-time villain for this phase, for different movies there might be a variant of Kang the Conqueror
"Way to die in some threads though" guys i love your unique take on things hahahaha
That was Jonathan Majors who played He Who Remains! He was also in Lovecraft Country which was FANTASTIC IMO!
The goosebumps at the end. Lol
Tom Hiddleson acting in this was superb....the sense of urgency and desperation to plead with Silvie was damn good. The only other time I seen Loki terrified of someone was hella to a degree and this is way worse. Welcome Johnathan majors to the MCU lol

This is going to be an exciting decade of movies and shows, literally, everything is canon now.
And now the what if show starts
12:30 The TVA exists outside of time, they just don't know him and there is a reason for that. TVA workers are members off the timeline but this Loki doesn't have a timeline, it was erased in the first episode. The whole Multiversal War happened and Kang now controls the TVA, the reason this didn't affect Loki is because he has no place on the timeline so anything that happens in it won't affect him.

There is a theory out right now that the "threshold" that "He who Remains/Kang" talked about is actually Wanda seeing the different timelines.
Loki is probably in the TVA of another universe.
Oh honey it's gonna take a whole lot more than Season 2 to solve this lol
It's interesting that you come to that conclusion. I don't think Loki could ever not be Loki, even in a different universe. I just figured that either Mobius' memories were wiped or he was accidentally sent to a universe where Möbius either hasn't met him yet or doesn't know him at all in general. Literally anything could be possible now that the multiverse is released.
Maybe Doctor Strange will have panic attacks for some time.
"Who are you?" 😭😭😭😭😭
That hurt a lot. This Mobius doesn't know Loki. Loki lost everything again, not even his friend knows him. Loved your reaction.
In the comics there was a Loki, Doctor Strange and Wanda team up, it was awesome.
Ant man 3, Thor love and thunder, and doctor strange 2... gonna be wild
Kang The Conqueror is gonna give it to the MCU no lube
BTW yall hair in this episode is immaculate
And then after that Dr Doom for secret wars, in 9 years , marvel going to break cinema
This variant is called "He Who Remains", I do believe he had been doing this for eons. "Kang the Conqueror" variant is much different and not as pure heart. Loki has had a major character development.
If He Who Remains is the last Kang in the MCU, I bet he was the most insidious Kang.
I saw a post claiming that if you play the two final episodes then the threshold “he” was talking about syncs with Wanda becoming the scarlet witch
It's not just season 2, he's going to pop up all over Phase 4.
Imon: "you don't have to climb up the table" .-.
He who remains here is Immortus, who Sylvie just killed. His variant, Kang, will be the new villain, who we'll see more of in the next Ant Man movie.
Me a few months ago: Wanda will rip open the Multiverse!
Sylvie: Hold my Dagger. 🤺
Love y'all's reactions. Y'all should really react to Lovecraft Country it's really great.
I like the twist that this was all done on purpose because the guy in charge was just tired. Tired of watching everything and doing the work for eternity. It just makes sense. This is probably going to be apart of the next doctor strange movie, and spider man movie considering their titles.
Dr Strange be sat at home like "well fuck..."
Best reaction ever
Kang is going to be the next thanos Loki just showed us his beginning and the start of the multiverse
Kang the mutha’flippin CONQUEROR!!! LESSSGOOOOOOO!!!
Antman: Quantimania! Loki Season 2! & Dr. Strange and the Multiverse of Madness w/ Scarlett Witch! It's about to go down! Great reaction, ladies!
Ladies, this isn't 2 season-tv show villains. We're talking about the beginning of the entire phase 4 MCU villains, they're coming.
Glad you met Kang cause he’s our next Big Bad for this Phase
This channel gives me Jungle Fever.
Sylvie: Stabs the boi
Also Sylvie: Why do I hear boss music??
Sylvie just set phase 4 up lol. It’s gonna go way beyond season 2 of Loki! #TheConquerorisHere
Kang is the second biggest threat right next to Thanos. This basically set up the entire phase.
Sylvie: Stabs He Who Remains, expecting him to die.
He Who Remains: Thanks. (winks) You just hit my reset button. See you again soon.
