He Who Remains died moments after Wanda accepted her fate as the Scarlet Witch. And two Nexus Beings can't exist together. Agatha also stated to Wanda, _"Oh God, you don't know what you've done."_ and _"You don't know what you've unleashed."_ Agatha knew something terrible has happened but she didn't exactly knw it was the branching of multiverses. And Sylvie killing He Who Remains was meant to be since He Who Remains had know idea what's going to happen next after they crossed the treshold. Just like the Ancient One, were she can't see the events beyond her death.

That's the most obvious option, another would be that she's the one who founded this new TVA and that the statue of Kang seen at the end functions the same way the statues of the time keepers did, that is to hide her involvement. Of course, the writers have shown themselves to take the most obvious path.

Silvi was too set on her mission of revenge, that she couldn't have it any other was than killing whoever was responsible for the TVA. She didn't care about the consequences, just her pain. As for Loki ending up in a changed TVA, the timeline was already branching before Silvi killed He Who Remains. After they passed the threshold, that was it. Silvi then sends Loki back to the TVA, but it's already changed in that timeline.
Small detail I didn't pick up originally, about He Who Remains and his plan for the Loki's - in that massive room, there just happened to be only 3 chairs. I also love the camera work moving in and out like a pendulum while He Who Remains speaks to the Loki's I really wish that the post credit scene was Mobius on a Jet Ski XD

He Who Remains is played by Jonathan Majors, who I first saw in HBO’s Lovecraft Country. He’s a rising young actor who I think will be a great star. His Willy Wonka-like version on the villain Kang the Conqueror was so fun to watch, but I’m sure his all out version of Kang will be very menacing.
First of all, congrats on 25k. Truly deserving. Second of all, I LOVE this show so much. Everything about it was, to quote Loki, glorious. Third of all, the Multiverse door has been kicked wide open. Think about the many different possibilities now throughout the MCU going forward. It's astronomical. Fourth of all, He Who Remains is a Variant of Kang the Conqueror, the villain of the next Ant-Man movie. Kang is a major time-traveling villain. He is what you call an Avengers level threat. Last, but not least, there will definitely be a second season of Loki. The questions that were unanswered here will probably be answered in Season 2.
I would like to introduce to u our next Big bad of the MCU which was confirmed by Marvel Studios, Kang the Conqueror. To put it in simpler terms, Kang is a time traveling supervillain that has different versions of him throughout the Multiverse. One of his good versions is Iron Lad who's a member of the Young Avengers team. Kang the Conqueror's confirmed appearance is in Ant Man and the Wasp Quantumania. The guy that plays Kang is Johnathan Majors whom u just seen as He Who Remains in Loki Welcome to the Multiverse Saga apparently
Loved the series and you. Keep it up. I read that Covid restrictions actually improved this one. A lot got cut in other series, but the final episode of this series was supposed to be something else originally and He Who Remains was supposed to be a post-credits reveal. Apparently the whole last episode was changed and performed in just a few days. Good job on them if that's accurate. If you want more Marvel and liked Agent Coulson, I suggest Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Some people jumped out too soon when they were focused on character development, but when THE twist happens, (you'll know it when you see it) they don't stop for the rest of the series. My experience says people who watched it on ABC didn't care as much as people who streamed it. There are so many moments that will make you react the way you did with Mobius and Loki being pruned. And you will fall in love with Fitz-Simmons.
I reckon HWRs still "knows it all"; that tempad was carefully placed, and he laid traps to push Sylvie throughout the episode... e.g. reminding that former Loki wants to beat the Avengers / the gauntlet, and discounting Loki's want to talk for a minute by saying pre-showdown "better hurry the timelines branching".

The Last Jedi..., Yeah, I'm like 45 years old, so my parents took me to see a double feature at the drive-in when I was 4 years old, to see Star Wars a new hope and the Empire Strikes Back! And I had to wait 3 years to find out if Darth Vader was lying or not about being Luke's father! Then Return of the Jedi came out and wow... Vader was telling the truth. I got a feeling to, The Multivers of Madness is coming! Thanks to Silvie and possibly Wanda as well. I still have yet to see Black Widow, but i heard mixed reactions to it. Don't know if it's worth seeing right now, so i may hold out till it becomes fully available on Disney Plus later this year. I'm a patient guy, so no rush. Plenty of more Marvel stuff coming anyway. I'm still working on Avengers Assemble season 2, and The Runaways season 2 and The Avengers game.
I see the complaints about how this felt like more of a setup for Kang than focusing on Loki, but I think that ultimately, it was still all very much about Loki (it just happened to have the bonus of setting up Kang and the multiverse). This Loki grew so much in such a short time. It seems like he's been continually asking the question "can I be someone good?" and everyone has always given him the philosophical answer "that depends on you". Which he knows that, that's not the answer he's been looking for. He's been looking for someone to give him a definitive yes or no. Mobius was finally that person in episode 4 telling him that he could be anyone he wanted, even someone good. As for Sylvie she’s always been up front about the end of this journey. She's had a bad case of tunnel vision from the moment the TVA took her, and she's made it clear that nothing was going to hold her back from what she intended to do. So, I think the end of this episode was a two-fold test of Loki's character and his growth into a force for good. Even though there was a lot of exposition on the part of He Who Remains, it still served a vital purpose. It wasn’t just for our benefit; it was for Loki’s benefit as well. It allowed Loki to make an informed decision for the first part of the test: what to do about He Who Remains. Sylvie on the other hand wasn’t ever going to hesitate about what she thought should be done. That makes the second part of the test being: how would Loki respond to her betrayal? Would Sylvie's betrayal shake him enough for him to return to his duplicitous ways? You can see he felt saddened, because they clearly had a bond which she affirmed with her kissing him before literally shutting him out of the final decision. Then he felt conflicted. Wondering if all this change and growth he's been going through was worth it, having grown close to someone only to have them betray him in return. Then lastly, you see the resolve when he realizes that while they may be similar, Sylvie was right in that they are not the same and that just because she made the choice that she did, doesn't mean it should hold/set him back and so he sets off to find Mobius to offer his assistance in fixing things. So in the end, it was still most definitely about Loki.
Sylvie is a much more tragic figure than Wanda. Wanda learned to move on but Sylvie could not. Wanda faced her grief, Sylvie couldn't face her anger. And the whole multiverse has to live with the result.
When the timeline started to splinter mid talk, thats when sacred timeline and TVA they knew was gone/changed. The bad future he warned already happened instantly 😂
I haven’t had a chance to finish it yet, but Cthulhu Country needs to be watched. Johnathan Major(he who remains) is lead in that series and will be the next Avenger concern(Kang).
Okay #KazzyReacts : So there are several theories that are hitting my mind.... 1. Loki is in a different Time Line: This is possible because where they were, many assume that it was the end of time; however the places was outside of time, so it isn't where is Loki but When? What is the date now, what was the date when he was pruned... When P15 went to the place where the Judge was it was 2018: I conclude that regardless of when the variants were taken they all exist out side of time and can move up and down the time line at will... 2. Owen Wilson's character has no idea who Loki is; this is possible because Loki is not in the Time Stream prior to TVA having made contact with him; which could be a complete rewrite of history or a time line where Loki doesn't look anything like Our Loki... 3. Finally ... The Variants to come all will have their origination in 3100 Earth time; So every time line that is before that date has the potential to produce a Kang. Those Kangs all master Time Travel and can assault the Time Stream at any Place, any Location and any of the Multiverse (1000s) that know exist... It gonna be a bumpy ride, and I am HERE FOR IT!!!! :D

KANG THE CONQUEROR! In the comic books everyone has an arch-nemesis, the one that keeps coming back. Batman has Joker, Superman has Lex Luthor, Spiderman had the Green Goblin. The Avengers had .....NOT THANOS. They had Kang the Congueror. He has 31st century Tech, forcefields that shield him from Thor's hammer and the Hulk, stasis fields that keep Thor's hammer from returning. A battle suit equal/superior to Stark's Iron Man armour, etc. and pull minions fom all over including variants of the Avengers to fight for him!
At this point, I have NO IDEA what Loki can do to fix things, starting with the TVA. His magic doesn't work there, no one knows him, he's in a bad place unless Sylvie can get it together and try to start fixing the damage she caused....

I doubt his offer was legit. It seemed like a test for them, and if they failed he would've pruned them. Perhaps in a way they couldn't come back from. But then again he knew what would happen (up to a point).

Loved the series and you. Keep it up. I read that Covid restrictions actually improved this one. A lot got cut in other series, but the final episode of this series was supposed to be something else originally and He Who Remains was supposed to be a post-credits reveal. Apparently the whole last episode was changed and performed in just a few days. Good job on them if that's accurate.
If you want more Marvel and liked Agent Coulson, I suggest Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Some people jumped out too soon when they were focused on character development, but when THE twist happens, (you'll know it when you see it) they don't stop for the rest of the series. My experience says people who watched it on ABC didn't care as much as people who streamed it. There are so many moments that will make you react the way you did with Mobius and Loki being pruned. And you will fall in love with Fitz-Simmons.

e.g. reminding that former Loki wants to beat the Avengers / the gauntlet, and discounting Loki's want to talk for a minute by saying pre-showdown "better hurry the timelines branching".
At the end, the statue is for Kang the Conqueror , the big vilain of the MCU Phase 4 who gonna be showed in Ant-Man 3.

The Last Jedi..., Yeah, I'm like 45 years old, so my parents took me to see a double feature at the drive-in when I was 4 years old, to see Star Wars a new hope and the Empire Strikes Back! And I had to wait 3 years to find out if Darth Vader was lying or not about being Luke's father! Then Return of the Jedi came out and wow... Vader was telling the truth. All this time I had a big poster of Luke Skywalker on my bedroom wall...now Luke was my childhood hero, and he learned such awesome integrity by the end of his arc in Return of the Jedi....ok,now..the Last Jedi.... I agree with your reaction 100 per cent! first our beloved Carrie Fisher died, so the great trio of Luke, Han and Leia couldn't be together on screen..... secondly.,..they totally destroyed Luke's character, no way would he(my hero) turn his back on the Jedi, I mean, HE was the ultimate Jedi! ..so I'm so sorry Kazzy, that this reply is so late, but I Just had to tell you my feelings about it, and that I agree with you fully! I got a feeling to, The Multivers of Madness is coming! Thanks to Silvie and possibly Wanda as well. I still have yet to see Black Widow, but i heard mixed reactions to it. Don't know if it's worth seeing right now, so i may hold out till it becomes fully available on Disney Plus later this year. I'm a patient guy, so no rush. Plenty of more Marvel stuff coming anyway. I'm still working on Avengers Assemble season 2, and The Runaways season 2 and The Avengers game.
I see the complaints about how this felt like more of a setup for Kang than focusing on Loki, but I think that ultimately, it was still all very much about Loki (it just happened to have the bonus of setting up Kang and the multiverse). This Loki grew so much in such a short time. It seems like he's been continually asking the question "can I be someone good?" and everyone has always given him the philosophical answer "that depends on you". Which he knows that, that's not the answer he's been looking for. He's been looking for someone to give him a definitive yes or no. Mobius was finally that person in episode 4 telling him that he could be anyone he wanted, even someone good.
As for Sylvie she’s always been up front about the end of this journey. She's had a bad case of tunnel vision from the moment the TVA took her, and she's made it clear that nothing was going to hold her back from what she intended to do. So, I think the end of this episode was a two-fold test of Loki's character and his growth into a force for good.
Even though there was a lot of exposition on the part of He Who Remains, it still served a vital purpose. It wasn’t just for our benefit; it was for Loki’s benefit as well. It allowed Loki to make an informed decision for the first part of the test: what to do about He Who Remains. Sylvie on the other hand wasn’t ever going to hesitate about what she thought should be done. That makes the second part of the test being: how would Loki respond to her betrayal? Would Sylvie's betrayal shake him enough for him to return to his duplicitous ways?
You can see he felt saddened, because they clearly had a bond which she affirmed with her kissing him before literally shutting him out of the final decision. Then he felt conflicted. Wondering if all this change and growth he's been going through was worth it, having grown close to someone only to have them betray him in return. Then lastly, you see the resolve when he realizes that while they may be similar, Sylvie was right in that they are not the same and that just because she made the choice that she did, doesn't mean it should hold/set him back and so he sets off to find Mobius to offer his assistance in fixing things. So in the end, it was still most definitely about Loki.

Sylvie is a much more tragic figure than Wanda. Wanda learned to move on but Sylvie could not. Wanda faced her grief, Sylvie couldn't face her anger. And the whole multiverse has to live with the result.

I haven’t had a chance to finish it yet, but Cthulhu Country needs to be watched. Johnathan Major(he who remains) is lead in that series and will be the next Avenger concern(Kang).
Okay #KazzyReacts : So there are several theories that are hitting my mind....
1. Loki is in a different Time Line: This is possible because where they were, many assume that it was the end of time; however the places was outside of time, so it isn't where is Loki but When? What is the date now, what was the date when he was pruned... When P15 went to the place where the Judge was it was 2018: I conclude that regardless of when the variants were taken they all exist out side of time and can move up and down the time line at will...
2. Owen Wilson's character has no idea who Loki is; this is possible because Loki is not in the Time Stream prior to TVA having made contact with him; which could be a complete rewrite of history or a time line where Loki doesn't look anything like Our Loki...
3. Finally ... The Variants to come all will have their origination in 3100 Earth time; So every time line that is before that date has the potential to produce a Kang. Those Kangs all master Time Travel and can assault the Time Stream at any Place, any Location and any of the Multiverse (1000s) that know exist...
It gonna be a bumpy ride, and I am HERE FOR IT!!!! :D

The plot making Loki heartbroken to make he’s rise up, figure out how to overcome what happened and still protect Sylvie with at all costs in S2. Because before this, Loki never defend his love ones. Maybe we gonna get that in S2, who knows right?*

KANG THE CONQUEROR! In the comic books everyone has an arch-nemesis, the one that keeps coming back. Batman has Joker, Superman has Lex Luthor, Spiderman had the Green Goblin. The Avengers had .....NOT THANOS. They had Kang the Congueror. He has 31st century Tech, forcefields that shield him from Thor's hammer and the Hulk, stasis fields that keep Thor's hammer from returning. A battle suit equal/superior to Stark's Iron Man armour, etc. and pull minions fom all over including variants of the Avengers to fight for him!

At this point, I have NO IDEA what Loki can do to fix things, starting with the TVA. His magic doesn't work there, no one knows him, he's in a bad place unless Sylvie can get it together and try to start fixing the damage she caused....

this episode confused the hell out of me because usually for a season finale, the close all of the plotlines of that season and then set the plot up for the next season. This seemingly set up plot points for a dozen series and finished nothing
Until I realized that's exactly what it did
It set up the plots for Loki season 2, Dr. Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, Ant Man and the Wasp Quantumania, Spider Man No Way Home and others yet to be named

IMMORTUS tells the tale of 31st-century scientist NATHANIEL RICHARDS, the Council of Counterparts, the belligerence of KANG, the Multiversal War, how Alioth ended it and the reason bad things happen to good people.
He offers the keys to the kingdom to the Loki duo.
The script runs out, the threshold is crossed, the timeline begins to branch with possibilities and Immortus experiences the terrifying thrill of not knowing what comes next.

Thanos is nothing compared to Kang the Conqueror. Jonathan Majors is set to debut as Kang in the upcoming Ant Man movie in which he is the variant of He Who Remains played by Jonathan Majors as seen in this episode. This was a big deal for comic fans!

I doubt his offer was legit. It seemed like a test for them, and if they failed he would've pruned them. Perhaps in a way they couldn't come back from. But then again he knew what would happen (up to a point).

I both like and dislike this episode. I liked the previous episode better and thought it was more climactic. But I understand that this episode also sets up phase 4 with Kang and the multiverse.
