I love to hear how happy and excited Rob gets at the end explaining the story. It makes me laugh, because you can just tell that he loves these stories and is super passionate about comics, and its awesome to see/hear that kind of passion.

Honestly I feel like X of Swords was a cool yet complicated story to explain how to get Apocalypse off Krakoa! There's definitely some elements in there that explains some history and leaves seeds for later stories. Yet the clear objective was to remove Apocalypse for now.
I thought it was called X of Swords. Not sword of x.

Started cutting through my backlog I realized I finished X of Swords maybe six months ago and didn't remember how it ended aside that mutants of Krakoa succeeded. This is a nice refresher because I binged the event in a week. Thanks for this.

logan is kinda specials with his healing factor even saber tooth couldn't survive the bonding process so it has to be one hell of a healing factor i think maybe deadpool is the only one who might be able to pull it off on the same lvl as wolvy .

to be fair, most of apocolypse's powers were from celestial tech, so maybe some of that tech gets outdated or damaged in some way, that would explain why his powers wax and wain

House and Powers of X were some of the best mutant stories out there, but after Swords of X I'm lost on continuity. Are there subsequent entries after all this?
1 year late, but I'm on the same journey. Each comic continues and is collected in the trade paperback titled "Reign of X"
I absolutely love these long form videos to consume comic media, especially when the sweet, sweet voice behind it is Rob!!! This is a great story arc to boot!!

i know Storm's story is a timeline remix, but an Origin of Storm Explained could be better than any attempts to write her in a movie.

This was a fun and interesting story, but I -really- felt like significant portions were omitted, like, you omitted that Magik was the first sword, WHO the swords were, until it was covering their story, and the 9th swordsman was omitted completely. Why Gorgon, and why did he get 2 swords? Shouldn't that have been relevent?
Also, you really need to just confess your feelings to Jim Jaspers man, you got it bad for him.

Magik does not say any of that stuff about Doug being like Taskmaster AT ALL. All she says is he's learning but to be honest he is going to die no matter what. No need to fluff it up.
Love your videos Rob and incredibly appreciative of these full Explained videos but I kinda wish Tini Howard were given her flowers. X of Swords was mostly a Hickman/Howard project and it's well documented that she had just as much of an influence in this storyline as Hickman.

It seemed to me that Saturnyne manipulated everyone in a ploy to get Brian Braddock but it back fired. The X men end up going through all the trouble for x of sword yet in the end everything was for nothing and they're in denial of being manipulated. that's how I interpret this arc.
I was literally looking for somebody else's comment on the Looney bitch that is Saturnyne. I actually hate her as much as Prince Joffrey. All the 4 horsemen and their entire people all move more honourably, are straightforward with their goals and attitude, etc. But Saturnyne is a ******* psycho bitch

I decided to buy Marvel unlimited at the start of the year because I wanted to get more into the comics after I've been obsessed with marvel since the start of the MCU. Last year I watched the whole of the 90's X-Men and ever since have been obsessing over X-Men, and since buying Unlimited, I haven't done anything but read the whole new ear of X-Men since House and Powers of X and I absolutely love it! and ive just finished the X of Swords and its been great, and cant wait for more!

I'm currently reading through this and it's just so complicated and tedious. I remember years ago being able to jump into any X story and not need much to catch up on what's going on. I feel like I need a freaking university course just to figure out all these characters and alliances.

I’m pretty sure Logan can still move as a skeleton because the cartilage and tendons are covered in adamantium too which in turn covers the nevers that run over the skeleton, which connects to the the spinal cord which leads straight to the brain, which is all covered in adamantium...just some logic ya know
he'd still need muscles to drive all this heavy metal structure, and a few organs give or take to keep some blood going to feed it all...
short of a silver surfer kinda skin that covers everything, or just plot armor, logically he'd still have to lay down and think about things for a bit, if he got blasted down to bones
Also, in the iskus(however it's written) vs Domino argument, I feel like yes she would most likely win due to never being able to lose but Domino might have the luck maybe just once to beat someone who can't lose, or bend luck to a way they both don't lose, or make it that tho she can't lose she can't win and concedes

Rob, would it be possible for you cover the Invincible run? I feel like with the new animated series being out now it would be great to see that story be explained by the mighty Rob.
I think its funny how Rob considers whether a story is good or bad based on the amount of information given. For him, a story needs to explain everything, how powers work, who is behind what, where or what timeline its apart of, etc. Etc.

i collected for about ten years starting in 84. X-Men was my first and favorite. I've watched all your videos about the various titles I collected and then some and..maaan lemme tell ya somethin! I just started collecting again. It started when I found my Nightcrawler Limited 4 issue series. Started researching. Discovered that X-Men was rebooted. Now I have almost every run. 😂😂😂 I love this HOX/POX/Dawn of X/Reign of X.
You mentioned, the scarab in a wine reduction. Where I can't say I've tried scarab, I would assume it would taste similar to stag beetle. Roast stag beetle was amazingly close to the taste of crab with the flesh consistency of lobster. I tried it with garlic, lemon, thyme, and just a dash of dill and it was delicious to be honest.
