Starting from Qiubai, I will also try to provide M3 showcase of newly released operators. Do note that these will be very early impressions, and my understanding of the operator, the scenarios I use in the showcase may not be immediately proper representative of his/her kit.
Qiubai (All stats are max where possible)
- Recommended skill for Mastery: S3
- DPH: 1230.7 unbound, 2289 bound
- Bind coverage during S3: 51.4%
- Expected total damage: 76k
- Max damage with full bind/stop coverage: 98k
- Pros:
- High Arts DPS
- Good buff candidate, especially by Suzuran
- Can hit air
- Cons:
- No RES ignore/reduce, max damage dependent on control coverage
- Relatively medicore attack range
- Relatively long skill downtime in 2023 standard

Some additional notes:
- "Bind coverage" means the theoretical percentage of attacks that can enjoy her Talent 1 if she were to attack in S3 infinitely
- "Expected" damage means the mathematical expectation of total S3 damage with the bind coverage above, so 76k is the damage Qiubai expected to deal when she's on her own. Her DPS is around the Surtr S3 level in this case, at 0 RES.
- At full bind coverage provided by e.g. Suzuran, Qiubai can deal max damage which is 98k (without calculating the fragile from Suzuran), and can out-dps Surtr S3 in this case - Hence she defeats Mudrock a bit faster than Surtr in the showcase, despite Surtr having RES ignore
Qiubai had Exusiai buff and Surtr didnt, not sure if it did affect the overall output tho
@@InitialDet Since it's arts dmg and res gets calculated percentage wise, it's probably a very small difference as opposed to say, exu getting an atk buff

I know not a lot of people care about this, but she, much like Chong Yue, scales ridiculously well with buffs due to all the scaling factors built-in her S3.
Some people say that she is similar to Exusiai in that respect, but an important thing to consider is that she deals Art dmg, which goes well with high attack speed without consequences unlike Physical damage.
Most Operators reviews/tier lists rate an Operator based on their performance in CC, a kind of event that mostly nerfs your OPs mercilessly while prioritizes self-sufficiency as well as stand-alone capabilities. That's how SA, Surtr, Mlynar, Ling and many more became so META in CC, in short you want an easy-to-use schwing schwing obliterate everything kind of OP, with some niche like survivability and supporting talent as cherry on top.
However, with CC#12 likely to be the last of them (for a while), and HG creating more gamemodes and events that encouraging buffing and stacking those buffs on Operators like SSS (which is a bit of a failure), Roguelike and Reclamation Algorithm, we should hold aspects like buff efficiency and team synergy in higher regards.
We can't always employ buff army in CC due to class banning and deployment slots/squad size restriction, but now we can, and enemies are becoming stronger than ever.
Yea. I always preferred to build my team around synergy and covering weaknesses/enhancing strengths, so I almost never use META units and instead find ways to make units I like to us work, so deployment/squad limit and lower dmg were always the 2 risks that annoyed me the most in CC.
the more sensible "tierlists" do take into account performance in SSS, IS and general use, that's how Gavial (alter), GG and Gnosis got elevated to very high tier despite being initially seen as just "ok". We will know in a few weeks how good Qiu Bai really is when more people start playing around with her kit, for now she seems alright but not necessarily a must have even taking into consideration all you've said

She could have been kinda broken if the skill had a sure bind when hit effect.

Though imo she's like a hybrid between Thorns and Surtr; staying on the map while nuking everyone when her skill is active. Moreover as a Lord with farther attack range, she can be combo'd with our most beloved SP battery, aka Liskarm, which _coincidentally_ can deal arts damage and stun with her skill2.
If the boss can fly, you have Chalter, Polzemka and bunch of other options and I don't think Liskarm is used often these days.
Why would you even use her? We have lots of strong anti aerial units lol

Ok but considering that Modules enhances Talent. Her module will increase her Talent 1 damage while the other module will hopefully increase her Bind proc chance
She's looking great! As someone who loves buffing my operators and loves using Suzuran/Saria arts buff combo, I'm definitely looking forward to getting her. Also I really like the way she looks, she's very cool.
So if the enemy is slowed or bound, she can just barely out-dps Surtr?

Also on 0 res after that every % of res makes her that percent weaker than surtr
@@asheqabeer1798 Mudrock has 30 res tho, Surtr passive ignores 20 res when attacking. So surtr is dealing with a 10 res mudrock while also being forced to retreat once the skill is over. Qiubai is doing comparable damage to Surtr while being on a faster rotation, assuming her conditions are met. That is not niche at all.
@@bakublader1999 i mean if you are looking at only damage and rotation and ignore litterly every other thing that make Surtr good(survivability, helidrop potential, not using deployment spot when on her cooldown recharge, not relying much on other heroes to work at her max potential) then yeah our new hero seem to have a lot of potential comparing to surtr i guess. On a serious note, she seem fun but probably not meta so niche seem to be a right term

To be honest she seem mediocre, sure she do xtra dmg but to depend on her talent? Nah she need others support to full fil the xtra dmg, if from herself i dont think she can sustain her xtra dmg, her to me just based rng effect, the chance on her second talent got low due to bind if just slow maybe they can high the chance even more consistent so her talent first can be more effective, basically to her s3 n full potential need bring support operator , if in cc or some challenge she may have disadvantage due to if enemies immune to slow n bind

So basically, she's strong but she's trying to compete with Surtr as an aoe arts damage ground operator and it doesn't work out great for her, though she does at least have some cc to make up for it.
She's not trying anything, she's for crowd-control only
her main niche will probably be her S2 (like Ch'en S2, but better and has crowd-control), considering her S3 competes with Mlynar and Surtr, and needs a second op to compete with them
Now exactly trying to compete with Surtr. Her range and not only being redeploy based give a different role.
@@clowncar711 Chen s2 has been ded for 2 years. Not to mention quibai s2 is not helidrop and lower skill dmg. Just because she has competition doesn't mean you should go for the worse skill. Also mlynar is just as famous for needing partner and is physical. And surtr is not used for lane holding at all. Well she can with 5 medics but let's not go there.
@@otdatheu4038 mlynar doesn't *need* gavial and his physical damage is so high that he surpasses arts damage dealers till up to about 800def which is enough in most content.
Just want to understand is her buff on slow debuff or slugger debuff (or both) and can Mostima module (global reduce movement speed) work with her?

You need Ethan to proc bind. Manticore, saria s3, mostima s3, etc doesn't work.
Mostly just use suzu s3 like in vid / other decel binder / magallan s1.
Ethan is the budget option, Magallan and Mizuki can also work depending on how much CC/damage you want, but Suzuran is the best option so far due to the cycle times lining up along with Suzuran’s normal benefits.
She’s like surtr but can hit Mandra kek
I feel like similarly to Carnelian the damage ramp up is a problem and Aak should really help that out.
Doesn’t take as long to ramp up tbf, I believe it was around 6s, while Carnelian never stops ramping.

The big difference is her ramp up is on herself, carnelian ramps up on every enemy everytime

Wind chimes personally doesn’t seem that impactful, S2 is a very fun concept and at max level can hit up to 5.8k, but a 5.8k nuke every 30s that also relies on Vigor on a class with 0 def/res is…

This is just dumb, any class can be a boss killer, even a medic, it depends solely on the kit.

nope, mostima's talent is movement reduction and it's different with "slow" debuff
Mostima's slow effect is movement speed reduction (reduce movement speed base on stated percentage), which is different from sluggish effects ( movement speed recduced by 80% for stated duration). Qui bai only get extra damage from sluggish and bind.
Pretty sure if she is a 5 star and slightly worse stats the reviews and community would just say "yeah pretty niche, use if waifu"
SP is a problem, 40SP is fair but 55 just too much
Adding Ptilo to a squad will decrease skill cd to 42. Not a big deal if you want to use her
