Unironically this is why I like bee's videos because she is the only one who cares, sometimes criticizes, but really cares about the npcs as human beings with achievements, flaws, needs and wants.
I still can't believe Hoyo doesn't put playable characters in the game. Completely missed opportunity to randomly see Diluc at his own bar. Or Kaeya, Rosaria, and Venti getting drinks. It would make feel like they're a part of the world and not just actors in a play

It's not exactly based on the modern time Japan though, so I think that it's unlikely for it to be plastic. Especially since (not to overanalyse, buuut...) Inazuma does not seem to have any infrastructure that could potentially manufacture plastic products.

All 3 hotels we've been to don't have doors that go to any rooms. Its concerning. Maybe people sleep outside in tents and all the hotel provides is food lol. Oh wait.... maybe the Natlan one has a room or two, but the other inn's /hotels do not

I don't think so. I think it's just bad design from the devs. Wangshu Inn also doesn't have any rooms.
But it's established to be an actual inn.
