Thanks for posting this. This is an uncommon fan for E60/E61, perhaps used on 2010 only?

Thanks for watching! Hope it helped.
Did some digging and looks like the e60 from 2006-2009 used this fan and the e61 from 2006-2010.

Hello thank you for this video!! Is it necessary to prefill the oil cooler or prime the oil system if you've drain it?? I'm doing this job right now and I'm scared to have air pockets in the oil system....

Yeah I'd recommend priming it. One way to do it might be to pull the ignition coils and turn it over a few timrs

@@falqonslanding Appreciate the quick reply however I believe pulling the ignition coils would not stop fuel from being spray into the cylinder from the injectors (which is a problem in itself). Nevertheless, I just sent it hoping all will be okay, I saw another tutorial that recommend it but said it wasn't absolutely necessary. Out of curiosity, did you prime the system when you did it yourself?

500-700 for a fan is ridiculous considering you can buy an after market upgraded radiator with integrated twin fans for around the same price and get 10-15% better heat dissipation at idle.
While installing a new rad will take an extra 45 min it's still a no brainer imo.

Got a PN for the upgrade you’re talking about? Very curious
