    Good video, did the repairs on 523i, everything is exactly the same. One minor thing, you don't need to disconnect the small sensor, it stays on the hose and doesn't hinder anything :).

    Great and valid information, even as a 20 year mechanic I still learned something new watching this. Thank you 💪🏿

    Great video my friend. My 525i developed a leak today and following you instructions was too easy.

    Great video. I have discovered a leak in the exact same spot, no doubt caused by the same build up of debris. Seems like an easier job than I expected. Thanks for the tip on the drain plug on the replacement rad. One other point worth noting is that for my car at least, the part in the BMW parts catalogue was not correct. Make sure you get a radiator with the correct amount of hose connectors that matches you car.

      Probably different for automatic and manual

    Great video, but put a real clamp on that return hose, it’s part of the pressurized system. Oetiker clamp or stepless ear clamps can be bought on amazon or eBay. Also sometimes you can get them in the plumbing section at homedepot or Lowe’s with the pex your limited on size tho. Otherwise a small worm gear clamp works just as good.

      Chris Vazquez there are rubber bushings at the mounting points that are likely worn out.

    I got a radiator it does not have the built in drain plug nor the fitting for the hose under it. It’s on the passenger side can I bypass that hose or block it off

    • @YourCarGuyDR
      @YourCarGuyDR  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you block off or bypass that hose you will likely have cooling issues. Best to get the correct radiator.

      It should be the same.

    Before doing all this do you need to unplug the battery?

    • @YourCarGuyDR
      @YourCarGuyDR  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It is not necessary as you should be where you can short anything out.

    • @YourCarGuyDR
      @YourCarGuyDR  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Probably the a/c line.

    excellent video, you didnt have to bleed the system?

    • @YourCarGuyDR
      @YourCarGuyDR  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Alfredo A yes. There is a bmw procedure for bleeding the air from the system. It isn’t always necessary but is helpful.

    Hi, great job. How do you average 25 mpg? I have an 08 528xi and never get over 20 mpg with premium gas. Thx

      Gicu my driving includes a large amount of interstate driving. I did notice an increase in mpg after servicing my transmission.

    Do you own/run a vehicle shop?
    I own a 2005 bmw 530i and i want to know if myself (person with minor mechanic skills) should attempt to do or should i take it to a shop

    • @YourCarGuyDR
      @YourCarGuyDR  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      JDVG If you have minor skills you should be able to do this without any issues. I have been running shops for several decades. I have trained technicians that had zero experience but good aptitude and desire. You will surprise yourself.
