From a person who went in with low expectations I can say that the game is amazing and one of the best games I have ever played. This guy doesn't know what he's talking about.
You say that Shadow Generations doesn’t contain any levels from Shadow’s standalone game. Did you just forget the fact that BLACK DOOM is the representation for Shadow’s solo game?
So when mid Sonic game like Sonic Superstars sold less than Sonic Mania,the fan base are assholes for not supporting badly made game. But when they do support a 13 years old game with extra features,control settings,chao add-ons and a new side story with better story script than anything Sonic did since Unleashed we are still assholes? I'm sorry but didn't find the pattern here. Anyway those "censorships" were made because the Sonic live action movies are huge success and sega wants to appeal to younger generation too. And the script rewrite is for the better for most of the time. The original was trash and didn't felt like Sonic and co just a badly written american slop. Remind you that Sonic is a japanese video game franchise and they realised that makes him Western would ruin his legacy. It took them around 9-10 years until Sonic Forces's flop to realise that. Better late than never. I understand that you are unhappy that Sonic is finally back and people love it again but a true fan would be happy about his/her friend's success instead of whining and trashing it. The more money means better quality and direction and care and i'm so happy they are back to the game!
